The food was amazing as always! Love Cane's. Friendly and quick service, everyone smiling and polite, best service I have experienced in a while. Everyone focused on their jobs & checking on all the customers after they had their orders. Hot & fresh food. The restaurant was very clean. They were busy, but kept the tables busted. They have some great chicken! I was skeptical because I'm a Golden Chick lover but I was pleasantly surprised! We went through the drive thru and of course the line was super long since they just opened but they seemed to have the crowd under control. We were out in about 20 minutes. We purchased the tailgate package with 25 wings, three orders of fries, two large drinks (lemonade,sweet tea) and two kids drinks. Our total came out to about 43 dollars but it was alot of food! The tenders were crispy and the fries weren't soggy, even after the long drive home. They give you the food in metal trays with holes on the top to let the steam out. Nice touch! Everything tasted fresh and the signature sauce is tha bomb! The lemonade is the real deal and their sweet tea had the perfect amount of sweetness. We will definitely be back! read more

We stop here on our trips to and from New Mexico to Texas almost on a monthly basis and the food is always hot and good. The last time we stopped I left my wallet in the ladies bathroom. So thankful that someone turned it in and especially thankful to the manager that sent it back to me via Fedex. We'll be coming back the next time we are in the area. read more

My family and I ate at this location a few nights ago. When we walked in, the entire establishment was a mess. Trash all over the floors and tables, tables clearly not wiped down, and sticky floors. We were there for over an hour and not once did I see an employee cleaning. In fact, the employees stood/sat around and talked the entire time (keep in mind we were the only customers in there.) The employees I have dealt with have been super friendly! Prices about par for fast food. Not a HUGE selection but it is sufficient and most places are cutting menu size for cost anyway! As someone who grew up in Abilene and now lives in Austin for college, I'm glad Abilene is starting to expand with more restaurants such as Cane's. The chicken is nice and delicious, you can tell it's much higher quality than the competitors around town. Had a late lunch at 2:30pm. The place was busy though we did get a parking spot and a seat fairly easily. At about $7 for a 3 "finger" combo this isn't super cheap. The chicken was fresh and not over-breaded. The sauce was ok, a spicy mayo with black pepper, but my husband would have preferred gravy as an option. Loved the crinkle cut french fries. The Texas toast was buttered and perfectly toasted. We will go back but probably wouldn't make a special trip. Warning--no free refills on the hand squeezed lemonade. Raising Cane's is a great example of the In-N-Out business model; do a couple things and do them great. This was our first ever stop, and we were blown away. The chicken fingers are more like chicken half-breasts. Fresh, juicy, hot and huge. I think we could share a four finger basket next time. I appreciate how lightly breaded the chicken is, but still full of flavor. We'll definitely be stopping here on our next trip through town. read more

The cars were moving very fast. Surprisingly so, so I told the employee " Ya'll sure are cranking them out" He was polite but in a hurry and said "We're trying!" So far so good right? Until we opened our shared dinner box. How disappointing!! The fries were way too old, not crisp in the least, and were soggy. Food is good. Not worth the price. They upcharge to make an Arnold Palmer, because obviously it's so much harder to mix 2 drinks they already have. You can order extra sauces (for an upcharge of course) but they always forget them. I've been a long time fan of Raising Canes, but this location has increased their prices on me for the last time. They aren't worth the price. Save your money and go to chic-fil-a. Absolutely my favorite chicken place now. Chicken Express was mine until I came to abilene.

I love Raising Cane's and the food is always top notch. The problem tonight is that the stripe on my company CC is going bad. It's a chip card and the chip works fine or other restaurants have entered it manually but this store said they don't have a chip reader and can't enter it manually because of their new corporate policy... I was initially very put out and irritated but after my food came out, the manager came to my table and apologized stating he understood how it is sometimes a time consuming issue to recover personal funds spent on the road and he gave me a card for a free combo.
