I had a frustrating experience at this location. I went in to pick up a simple order of 2 mini blizzards. At first, I was ignored for several minutes while employees stood around. when I finally got someones attention, I still had to wait an additional 10 minutes for the dasher order. To be fair, one employee was very kind and hard working, which I appreciated. unfortunately, two workers were standing around instead of helping and the other one was making food while the other handles food.but service overall was very slow and dismissive. what should have been a quick pickup turned into a long and stressful experience. I hope management addresses the lack of attentiveness, because customer deserves to feel acknowledged and served in a timely manner! read more

I patronized this location on 11/24/2025. I somehow lost my receipt, so this is VERY late review. I received excellent service from a young man named Nathaniel. When I walked in, I was greeted by a young female. Then Nathaniel came out to assist me. He was very attentive, listened VERY well, asked probing questions to ensure that what I thought that I wanted, was what I actually wanted. He made ALL of my items just right. Both our orders were incorrect, and they were not read back to us. We asked for a hot fudge sundae with crushed nuts and a vanilla blizzard with mini M&Ms. Wasn't told they didn't have them, wasn't told they planned to also add chocolate syrup to it. And why did they just add whole peanuts to the bottom of the cup of the sundae? I asked if it was vanilla ice cream with mini M&Ms she instead asked if I wanted a lid. I asked again and she held it upside down and asked about a lid again. I got it and looked to see what looked like chocolate soft serve with crushed mms. I asked again if it was vanilla ice cream, and only then was told 'yeah, we put chocolate syrup in it' I politely said I had asked for vanilla and mms. She just told me "that's how we make them" What part of that is good customer service? I asked for a simple thing, was given something else and then told well that's just how we do it. The syrup made it taste bad and both myself and my companion threw them out and walked across to mc Donald's. Where we could get ice cream with mms in it and a fudge sundae with nuts small enough to eat in ice cream. I couldn't even go in to ask for it to be fixed with the lobby being closed. I would have to borrow my friends car to go wait in line again and get more poor customer service. Never going to this DQ again. It's kind of put me off the whole chain. I'm disappointed that such an easy order was too simple and then we were treated like we were wrong for wanting what we ordered. If you don't have crushed peanuts or mini mms. Just say so, super easy. And please don't add anything to an order someone didn't ask for. read more

Worst DQ ever. We ordered ahead on the app, but You can't get into the lobby. So the only choice was to wait in the drive thru. There were 8 cars ahead of us and it took 15 minutes to get to the speaker to let them know we arrived and another 5 minutes to get to the window. Once at the window they informed us that they didn't have our order from the app (even though we paid for it already on the app). We gave them the order number and they said it wasn't in their system (we confirmed we ordered at the right address). They refused to make the food even though we showed them the receipt and the order and the order number that was placed. They also refused to give a refund and said there was nothing they could do. Worst Dairy Queen in Northwest Indiana. They close the lobby whenever they feel like it. Employees are just standing around talking to customers in drive-thru while there is a line around the building. Watched employees on phones. Items are more expensive than other Dairy Queen in town. I worked almost 10 hours today. I was really really hungry and mistakenly went here. It took minutes to be greeted. In lieu of elevator music, they played windy microphone noises, the kind that ruins absolutely every video taken outside. The cashier told me she'll give my total at the window, creating the awkward situation of frantically counting my money in front of a stranger. Honestly, she watched me as if she didn't know how to count, herself. The last part of this review involves the food itself. Ordering a six piece chicken tender entails four tenders and one really really small tender. Basically, boo. More specifically, they offer lazy service and literally less than what you ask for. When I went there was no one else there, we were the only ones there. My grilled chicken was put in the microwave cause the lettuce and tomato were super hot.The chicken itself looked boiled not grilled, No grill marks or any indication of a flat top. The fries were soggy and cold. We ordered 2 girl scout mint blizzards and there was so much white in it from the vanilla ice cream. very little mint in the blizzard. The chicken tenders were not warm and were obviously sitting under a heat lamp. The lady taking our order was nice but that's all that was good about this visit. read more

Don't ask for free blizzards when they don't flip them. When I asked, I was met with a snippy tone and told, "we don't flip them when we're this busy and we don't flip them after 5pm". Oh really? Because the two orders before ours were flipped in front of us. We got our coupons, but after we got home we noticed they were only marked for the free upgrades if we get a $6 meal combo, not the free blizzards like the policy states. Doesn't really matter though, since we won't be back. To make us feel guilty for utilizing YOUR company policy, and to use that tone in front of our children? WORST DQ EXPERIENCE EVER. I ordered Chili Dogs and asked if they could add cheese to them.. When I got the receipt I saw that it said American Cheese and so I asked if they had any other cheese, perhaps shredded? Because who puts a slice of AMERICAN on a hotdog. The "Manager" proceeded to tell me that there was no way possible she could accommodate me and that she was told by the owner to not do this. Since when can you not place any type of cheese you want on your order, ESPECIALLY when you are paying for it.. I decided to opt out of the cheese and it took them nearly 15 minutes to remake my hotdogs and bring me the order. Absolutely insane. To top the cake on this experience, I couldn't even eat my fries because they were cold, soggy, and undercooked. I saw the reviews and despite them, wanted to give them a chance. Will NOT be back. I went there with four children under the age of 9. The clerk took my order and then went on break and never bothered to tell anyone an order was in. I sat for 20 minutes before the oversight was caught. The manager, Breia, was very sweet and polite and gave me store credit for the five Blizzards. I came back one week later with the same kids. I was in line for 20 minutes (only two customers in front of me) and then waited THIRTY MINUTES to get the five simple Blizzards. Breia was again very polite and sweet but this poor woman needs help. DQ needs to give her more employees and better employees because EVERYONE before and after me was IRATE at their service. I will never ever ever ever go into that store again. read more

I have never had good luck with this Dairy Queen but I keep stopping because it is convenient off the highway. Today was my last time. When I walked in, I just stood at the counter while the workers were having their own conversation in the food prep area. Finally, a cook had to tell them I was there (that should have been my cue to leave). My order took forever and my Peanut Buster parfait had virtually no chocolate. An odd thing about this Dairy Queen is that all the food is made out of sight. Save yourself the hassle--it's not worth it. What can one say about a dairy queen? Its clean. People are friendly. I see a lot of super sexy paramedics there all the time. Love a man in uniform! They make sure to give me my blizzard upside down. The manager is super friendly, even though she gave me the wrong sprinkles. I met an ex of mine here a while back. We dated for over a year, then she "suddenly" had allergy issues with my cat Mr Jynx, when it was never an issue before. It was odd that it happened after she met Nick at her new job, and told me stories about how he is so sweet and invites her to go bowling with his bowling team. I had a feeling something was going on, but I couldn't prove it, and she kept denying it. I thought I was going to lose her so I bought her a giant gummy bear from the internet. She said she liked it but she wouldn't take a bite until I made her do it in front of me. And she only ate the ears. We started fighting over simple little things, seemingly finding simple things to get upset at each other for. One day I took us on a romantic dinner to subway, and she texted me from the bathroom that she wanted to end it. It was an awkward 3hr drive home. But it is good ice cream. read more

Stopped in for after dinner treats and ordered 2 blizzards. Mine a banana split husbands a German chocolate. Drive thru kid didn't give spoons. Had to pond on window to get attention. Then he acted put out by request. Neither tasted anything like what it usually did. Mine was all ice cream at bottom no flavor. So disappointed in this location. Portions smaller than other locations. Blizzards are the family favorite and last time we went we got one blizzard that hardly had any of the candy. Child was very unhappy. All the treats melted before we got home which was less than a mile away. When I called about the problems manager stated due to high demand machines couldn't chill properly. We've always been happy with our experiences when we go. The service is somewhat slow. Don't ever go to the drive thru when they have $1.99 happy meals or anything similar. It's a nightmare. my wife and i went there tonight and my wife ordered a mocha moolatte with caramel. i went home and gave it to her and it had peanut butter in it. she is highly allergic to peanut butter and she ended up in the hospital because of it. this is not the first time they messed up orders. i always order a banana split no strawberry i always end up getting one with extra strawberry. do not go to this place ever!!! worst service ever..now i will be talking to managers about my wifes hospital bill!!! read more
