This Culver's is a really large location at an easy on/off from I-80, at IN-49 which can take you straight to Lake Michigan's Porter Beach in Indiana Dunes National Park. It has two drive-thru lanes, and it seemed really busy about noon on the Wed before Thanksgiving (Nov 2025). There's seating inside for over 100, and umbrellaed tables outside for 24. The 55-cars parking lot was nearly full, and only two of them near the south door are reserved for pickup orders, so they use your car description in their app to find you. The friendly pickup-service was a 10min wait. Their salad was pretty huge: fresh crisp lettuce with plenty of cucumber slices and crunchy cashews (!), several small cherry tomatoes, and a really generous sliced juicy tasty broiled boneless chicken breast. The good-sized flaky juicy fish sandwich was hot and crispy-fried in a light batter, served with lettuce and cheddar on a long toasted roll. roll. They boast that their North Atlantic Cod are "wild-caught in the icy Barents Sea, north of the Arctic Circle". The cheese curds were mostly ball-shaped, a bit larger than a quarter. They were hot and chewy with a light crispy coating. We knew we were getting the real thing when we heard that little squeak as we bit into them :-) It was a convenient quick friendly stop with good quality fast-food, and we ate our goodies on the 5min drive to the lake. read more

This is one of my go to stops whenever driving cross country and getting on and off the toll road. I usually get a kids meal because it's great portions of everything and the cheeseburgers are delicious. I do curdside so everything is ready whenever I pull up and I can keep being on the move then. I love coming here after rehearsal for a late night burger or custard. Tonight, I noticed my tire pressure light came on while driving home from rehearsal, so pulled into Culver's. I am so glad their outside lights were still on! I went to check on my car and saw that I had a flat tire. I started workingon my car and an employee came up to me. They asked me if I needed help and that his manager knows how to change a tire. I told them yes and he went back inside to fetch his manager. His manager came out to me and was able to put my spare tire on my car in a matter of minutes! Thank you so much to the employee and to the manager working tonight!! You are a life saver!! read more

I was super happy to learn that have gluten free buns for people like me with allergies. Also happy that I could get coleslaw with my meal rather than french fries, and their half-cut tea was perfect. Only recently has Culver's started to grow on us as a family. I had never been that excited about the über-dairy and deep fried fair of this Wisconsin original. But I think having kids has opened us up to the simple fast food goodness of this place. There's really not much to say about this particular location that isn't true about every other Culver's. The food is to be expected -- that is pretty good compared to other chain restaurants. It's definitely a good, modestly priced option especially if you have kids. The one criticism of this specific location has to be the narrow interior. It doesn't seem like it from the outside but the dining area of this Culver's is pretty tight. When you consider how busy this location gets it makes for a loud and crowded eating experience. My recommendation is to either eat in the outdoor area or get it to go and picnic at Coffee Creek nearby. read more

Food is always good, service is not. Went by there tonight. There were 2 people at driVe thru yuking it up. The person waiting on us had our order, 2 waffle cones. She is holding that and takes our card. Then she hands us the cones while processing our payment. This is seriously stupid. Process payment and give card back before handing our cones. That way we can put away before driving off. It is not a huge deal with a second person in the car. It is a problem when as a driver you are given cone, then card, and expected to drive off all at same time. She stared me down, and I was mildly uncomfortable until she began to speak to me in fluent Mandarin. The food was the usual Culver's fare. No complaints there. However, we were surprised (and disgusted) to see adults eating in the dining room who were barefoot. I've never eaten in a restaurant that served people with bare feet. When my husband inquired if that was allowed, the manager was snippy and defensive.
