Read my other reviews. I Rave about places and give places the benefit of the doubt. If I have something bad to say you know it's genuine. I placed an online order. With a promised pickup time of 5:42. The app has the option to select an allergy or dietary restrictions and I chose seafood as my gf has a shellfish allergy. I get there and they tell me they didn't make it because they can't accommodate the dietary restriction. They also say app orders can't be refunded by them instore. OK so why wouldn't you make the order if I can't be refunded? They don't give me my food till 6:07 which is 25 minutes later. Why does it take 25 minutes to make 12 chicken tenders that you aren't doing any special prep to? Asked for brown gravy for the fries that come with my meal and got given white gravy. Do you know anyone who dips fries in sausage white gravy? No offer for anything to make up for the multiple issues with the order. Drove an hour for this experience. Honestly, I forget about this place as an option for food nearby due to the other places around it. They provide consistent service and food. Their chicken tenders can be on the small side for what you pay for and overall their menu is a little pricier compared to fast food joints. Restaurant is very clean and nicely decorated. The menu has plenty of things to choose from. Employees are very friendly. I ordered a Flamethrower burger combo with fries. If you're eating in, they give you a number to place on your table and they bring the food to you as most of it is cooked fresh when you order. Food was very good. The fries were good, but nothing special. Better than McDonald's and Burger King though, in my opinion. The burger was great. Best fast food burger I've had. It was huge, topped with cheese, lettuce, tomato, bacon and spicy Flamethrower sauce. The sauce on it was awesome. Spicy with a touch of heat, but flavorful. They also have a large refrigerated case in the restaurant holding their restaurant-made cakes and ice creams. Also makes for something nice to look at. If I could i would give negative stars. I am very disappointed with this location. My second time here and the service is slow and customer service is very poor. I waited over half an hour for my ice cream. There seemed to be a ton of people in the back but no one up front manning the show. If I manned my business like this I would be out of business. Not one person asked if we had been waited on for the ice cream. They kept walking past us until I finally yelled to the guy behind the ice cream counter. On my last visit, it was move in day into our new home. We were in a hurry to pickup food, and get out there to meet our movers. I ran into the DQ and ordered 2 combo meals, nothing fancy. My reason for only 2 stars was because the server disappeared for a good 5 minutes, with no one else in site except the cook who placed my order up in the window.....it sat there for most of the 5 mins....and by the time we got home (only 10 mins later)....our food was cold! Nowdays, more and more people are talking about fast food workers getting $15 per hour. Well, at this Syracuse Dairy Queen location, these employees ought to be making $25 per hour, because they are so worth it. When you go to this restaurant and you compare the food and how you're treated compared to McDonalds and Burger King, there IS NO COMPARISON. Dairy Queen is awesome. I'd recommend them to absolutely everyone, and I hope they continue to expand the number of restaurants they have. They treat you so nicely that you think you're on another planet, compared to the indifferent millennial zombies you usually have to put up with when you eat at McDonalds or Burger King.
