While expensive, if you know that going in, it's not a big surprise. The problem is that you normally have to wrap a dipped cone in a napkin because it starts to melt pretty fast. Our last time there this week will be the last at the Keswick location. Our ice cream in our cones was clearly diluted with water and there were ice crystals in the ice cream. There was no melting or running of the ice cream because it was obvious that it had been diluted. It totally changed the taste of the product and this owner is definitely harming the DQ brand. read more

I really wanted to like this Dairy Queen since it's local, but my experience was honestly terrible. The wait times are extremely long, even for something simple like a Blizzard and they're only be one or two customers. It once took over 10 minutes just for them to start making mine. The place feels unsanitary. The last time I went, the worker made my Blizzard, and when some ice cream started dripping down the side, he literally used his bare finger to swipe it back into the cup. I was absolutely disgusted. That was the moment I decided I'd never go back. On top of that, the prices are ridiculously high for the quality and service you're getting. I don't usually leave reviews, but this one really stuck with me in the worst way. Do better. read more

Went to this store to take advantage of the $1 blizzard deal this month. However, we entered the store and before we were able to order we were rudely confronted by the man in the leather jacket. Told me no outside food because I was holding my lunch bag. Totally understandable to have as a rule but the tone and manner of which he confronted us was totally unacceptable and disgusting. In addition the cleanliness of the store and general experience in our short visit at this Dairy Queen was an embarrassment to my personality. Not the place to go if you have a disability. I was recently there with my wife, trying to take advantage of the $1 Blizzard promotion. My wife has mobility issues and she is confined to a wheelchair. I tried to buy the $1 Blizzard for both of us using my wife's code and my code. But the guy in the leather jacket (not DQ uniform) told me she had to get out of the car and wave to him while she was in the wheel chair. This was at the end of the day and my wife would not have been able to do that without a lot of difficulty. He said he was being videoed by head office and unless she could show herself in the wheelchair, then he couldn't give her the deal. And yet you can do a mobile order at another other DQ restaurant (This particular restaurant does not accept mobile orders). To say the least, this was very upsetting to me and especially my wife. We have visited this DQ numerous times over the years, but that was our last visit to this location. We love the Blizzard, but the reason the Food got 1 star was that you need to be able to buy the product. read more

It is Dairy Queen Blizzard season so what are we waiting for? To be fair, I dirnnfrab Blizzards - vanilla milkshake, plain cones, and my old favourite a Peanut Buster Parfaitt (hold the hot fudge and substitute caramel). This location has been staple in town for over 20 years and has continued to offer the full suite of Dairy Queen products from the soft serve favourites to hot and fresh eats. Honestly - as a near regular customer, I have not had any complaints. The location is dated however not to the point that it looks run down or old. Honestly, for me, I go in - patiently wait through the rush and enjoy my treat either outside or as I am travelling home. Does it need to be super modern? No! Like most - ice cream is a great dessert option and because of that -- fancy that, the lineup gets a bit crowded. It's ice cream rush hour folks -- we will get served. It's been a while since I have tried the food at this location - so cant comment on that side of the menu. However, as far as the ice cream goes -- fair portion sizes and toppings. Prices have crept up the past few years however with wages going up 25% - how can they not? We enjoy our vices and pay accordingly - for me, that has always been and will continue to be ice cream. read more

Just saw a Diary queen commercial and had to go. Ordered a cotton candy and turtles blizzard. Went home to eat my turtles blizzard and it was ice cream with the turtles mix on top, not blended at all. Called to complain and he said he will take $1.00 off next order. 8.00 for ice cream with toppings. Would have preferred another blizzard made properly no charge. But no, $1.00 off. Service isn't great. We ordered our food and waited 15 minutes, which is pretty reasonable. We also ordered Blizzards. We got our food and I was waiting for our Blizzards. The two workers just started chit-chatting. I sat there waiting for awhile when one asked "What are you waiting for?" I said I was waiting for our blizzards. They completely forgot about part of our order, and it took them 15 minutes to make the blizzards, finally. The food was relatively cold as well. The drinks were only filled up halfway. Overall, the food was good but the service and quality of it was horrendous. I would not recommend this place. read more

Worst Dairy Queen I have ever been into. It's super out dated inside, management doesn't care about updating the place that's pretty obvious. Customer service is non existent. Staff won't even smile or talk to customers. They just toss your orders to you and walk away. Every time I come here for a blizzard they make it messy or over flow and it melts all over me because they never put a lid or properly portion. So it's usually over flowing. I don't think I've ever had any positive experiences at this location in my years coming here. read more

It's great food and fabulous frozen treats served by zombies or reasonable facsimiles. Customer service just wasn't alive during my visit: no eye contact and two staff members reluctant to take my cash. Really, I didn't ask for much. I simply wanted to pay for my purchase that I had picked up myself from the self-serve freezer. The store was empty and I was smiling and polite. Who could ask for anything more? Dirty restaurant in dire need of renovations. Ice cream cakes are freezer burnt and disgusting. I would say that the quality is slightly worse than what would be served in a hospital but that would be too much of an insult to what is served in hospitals. Save your money and go someplace else. read more
