I really wish they'd just get my order right. The last 3 times I've been there they've forgotten something. All three times it was the extra gravy (that I paid for). When I try to call, they don't even answer. Last time they almost forgot an ICE cream. This time they didn't give me my kids drinks. I will NOT be going there anymore for anything. So sad they have gotten so bad since i was a kid but what hasn't? The ice cream is great and have no issues besides the time it takes and very little room at either one to wait for it, the food just isn't good anymore, even fresh off the grill buns can be stale, cold fries sitting around.... All you need to know is this -- avoid this DQ at all costs. How do you screw up a hotdog? Stale bread & chili that was burned almost to the point of being black in color. It was quite literally inedible. Plus, it took almost 20 minutes for me to receive this little gem. Gross incompetence, especially in that I witnessed numerous health code violations while watching & waiting. They were cross contaminating at every turn & had old open containers of various ingredients laying all over the interior counters. I'll never stop at this DQ again. Worst service! waited 20 minutes in drive thru with 2 cars in front of me. Gave up and left. Not worth waiting any longer for $9 for two blizzards. Watched people park, go in and leave with food. Worst ever waited 30 mins for a chesseburger and fries. And the ordered a blizzard and it tasted like soap

Arrived at this location at 2:31pm today. No one was at the counter to take my order. A few mines later someone walked by and said they would be with me in a minute. Once they arrived to take my order I had to repeat it twice, one white privileged individual to another white privileged individual. I then asked if they offered a military discount and he told me no, but he can for me? Not sure that makes sense. Anyway after paying he told me they would bring our order to us. Everyone at the restaurant already had food on their table and there were no cars at the closed drive thru. It is currently 2:45pm, still no part of my difficult order, one banana split and one blizzard, has arrived to my table. Clearly there is a reason this location is not busy, I should have known upon arrival the service was lacking. It is Saturday afternoon and this place is bending ran into extension. So many other restaurants have close due to poor service yet the owners are clearly absent, clueless, or just plain stupid. They need to hire undercover patrons to give real-time feedback, like this review that they are getting for free while I am still waiting for my order. It is now 2:50 and the blizzard just arrived. The gentleman who brought the order asked if we had the blizzard, though our order number given to us at the register is clearly placed on the end of the table closest to him. I asked about my banana split and he said he was going to go make it now. It seems to me the best practice when preparing an order would be to prepare the entire order at one time, but what do I know, I am just the consumer of slow service at this Dairy Queen. The good news is that I live closer to cone palace in Kokomo and though I usually go there, I thought since I was on this end of town, I would stop in. This may very well be the last time. Worst place ever. I would give it negative stars if possible. I would say poor customer service but they don't even know what customer service including the management. Their mistakes are your fault. They are rude and demeaning. I had paid for a Reese's blizzard cake the day before. I called before I picked it up and the lady said, "You paid for that yesterday right?" I said yes. When I went to pick it up they said the person who took my money did not fill out the appropriate paper and put it on the cake so I had to drive 15 minutes home and 15 minutes back with my receipt because of their failure to follow their own policies. I had been told that with the handwritten note on the cake I could just come and pick it up, plus I had just called before I came. When I told them it was poor service to make their mistake mine, the "manager" or one professing to be in charge, very rudely said, "That's why you get a receipt, ma'am." She had a very rude and cocky tone. Also, I had gotten the chicken strips with gravy for my son and I the night before and we both were extremely ill with diarrhea and severe stomach cramps starting within a couple of hours of eating it. I will NEVER go back. I have told all my family, which is quite large, and they will never go there again. We will be sharing their awful service and food poisoning with everyone we know! read more

Worst Dairy Queen I've ever been to. My boyfriend and I went in for a late night ice-cream and got there about 20 minutes before close and the lobby was full and the line was long so we figured it would be fine so we hopped in line and began planing out our order. We finally get up to the register and are told they can't serve us because they closed at 10, naturally I ask for an exception considering it was just then 10 but we were rudely told they had shut all the machines off so we go to leave and the workers had already locked all the doors. Worst service and its winter. Let me preface by saying there were not alot of customers inside and not a line backed up in the drive thru. The lady taking our order on 2/09 was very nice and said she was new and in training. That part is completely fine and none of this was aimed at her at all. But my question is why were only 2 people there for the busier than normal lunch and dinner hours? She was handling 2 things at once since the girl with her didnt appear to be doing much of anything and management threw this poor lady to the wolves. This is management I am totally directing this at. First of all, you dont staff 2 people to handle drive thru and order in on the weekend or any major eating hours ie lunch and dinner. Second, you have a new person taking care of all of it? What is wrong with this and let alone the conditions of the place that I would not go back to? I am absolutely stupefied as my husband and son were as well. We waited 20minutes and the cashier was taking care of drive thru orders and finally after waiting 20minutes my husband goes up to her and said what happened with our 3 ice cream orders? We finally got them by him having to go up there and he wasn't angry or belittling anybody but just wondering what happened with our order? Places thrive and starve because of either very good management or very bad. This has to be one of the worst managed places I have ever come across. The Steak n Shake in Martinsville on 37 tho does come extremely close as that was terribly ran as well. Manager, you have an opportunity now to either see your place succeed or just become another place for sale because no one will want to come to a place that youre waiting an abnormally long time to get ice cream, and not even food.
