I didn't know it was a Dairy Queen vs. Burger King competition to see who has the worst service. Kaliste Saloom is running a closer race because there has not been a time I went there and did not have to pull up to get off the timer then wait an extra 10-15 minutes minimum. Now the one Johnson is just as bad. As soon as they took my money she asked if I could pull up because they were making some fresh fries. When I got my order the fries tasted like they were under a heat lamp for 5 hours on the cool side. I don't think I will go back to any Dairy Queen around here again. read more

The service is just awful. It takes them 30 minutes to take our order. With no one in front of us!!! We were the only ones at the drive through. It happens every time. Yes I waited because I'm like maybe they are short staffed. Giving them the benefit of the doubt. I'd like to continue to support them because I don't want to see another empty building. But it's like they don't want anyone's support. Cars continuously drive off as the line grew behind us. They turn off every single light most of the night to make it seem like it's closed earlier than what the hours are. The lights are even off for the menu and we can't read it so we have to shine a flashlight to read it. We started going to the ambassador location now. I usually have zero issues with this place. We only get our Sunday afternoon splurge ice creams here so I cannot speak for the food. But today the service and the ice cream were terrible. I firstly got handed my strawberry shake which was covered in melting ice cream and what I assume was to be water. I had to ask for them to wipe it off and I along with my car were so sticky. Then I got a face from the drive through person. Then the next thing we ordered was a blizzard which she didn't turn over (and yes it was only one blizzard) because the entire thing was LIQUID. So I said this blizzard is melted. Which aren't they supposed to be turned over for this reason? I wonder why she never turned it over? Surprise. 3 days ago I ordered a 12" birthday cake for my little girl. Requested as much pink as possible. Much to my surprise the cake I had received was covered in red and looked like it had been sitting out for a while. Melting in the box. Her name was spelled wrong. (It's a very common name. There's only really one way to spell it). When I asked about the red, the clerk had responded with 'oh my bad bro' which was very annoying and I professional. They charged me for 2 cakes. I hadn't noticed till I was already home. When I returned to get it corrected, the SAME clerk who had dealt with me was absolutely ignorant. And was very difficult about it. Took almost half an hour for a resolution. Terrible customer service on his part. While I was waiting for someone to fix the error, I had ordered a simple cheese burger with fries and a soda. Took about 15 minutes. Which was annoying. The meat was burnt and the toppings were all over the place. It was SUCH a mess. Fries must've been old because they were cold. Soda was good tho. Over all? Terrible place of 'service'. Terrible communication skills. Not at all personable. Rude. The restaurant itself wasn't exactly clean either. Windows were dirty. Garbage over flowing in the dinning room. There was a pungent scent going on in there. This place needs an entirely new team of people who actually want to work. Will never come back. I'm pretty sure a four piece chicken strip meal means four pieces of chicken not two. The staff is mostly unfriendly and it seems the only thing good about this place is the ice cream. However I don't see myself nor my family going there very much anymore. Your stand a better chance at sonic with getting your order right. UPDATE - So after calling them to tell them to pay closer attention to what they are doing for other customers, the manager gave me a code to redeem my order again for free. Five star service, one star food So....I wouldn't normally write a review when my food was disappointing, but the service was exceptional. My cashier (her name sounded like "Arris" to me but it says Frenchshel on the ticket) was one of the most polite, positive, and helpful fast food workers I've EVER encountered. Like, if I were Mazen Grill, I'd hire her in a second. On the other hand, my food was flat out disappointing. I ordered the A1 double, which I was really looking forward to. On first glance, it looked like something that would come from McDonald's--the cheese was kind of saggy and the burger was kind of lopsided. I decided to reserve judgment and take a bite--wow, it was worse than I thought. Absolutely no flavor. Burger was barely warm. I couldn't even taste the steak sauce, so I opened the burger to check. I could see a steak sauce "stain" on the bread, but there was barely more than that. I would have been ok with it had the burger cost something around $.89, but at $5.19 it was definitely a rip off! That was just not even close to a $5 burger. Go to Hardee's if you want a good $5 burger. In sumary, our cashier was amazing. I wish her the best and hope she gets rewarded career-wise for her hard work. Food wise, I don't think I'll be going back, and Dairy Queen is normally one of my top three fast food places (along with Chick-fil-a and Hardee's). read more

This is a nice location, which looks clean and is relatively new. The staff is usually efficient and courteous and I've never had any problems with the service. The frozen treats are great, and I love the Orange Julius. That said, the food I've had is bland. This may be because I grew up in Lafayette, and am used to flavourful food, but if I'm picking up dinner and ice cream is requested, I'll pick up dinner elsewhere and drive through for ice cream. I understand there are a lot of people who have nostalgia for Dairy Queen and like the food, if your expectation is that it will be the same as other Dairy Queens I suspect you will be satisfied. On the other hand if you uninitiated to Dairy Queen, maybe just stick to the ice cream. read more

Might be the highest rated review on this store! This location was very friendly and clean, they had Butterscotch Dilly Bars, and the bathrooms were very clean. Easy to find, and the service was very quick. I would return here! Keep in mind this is "DQ the Fast Food Restaurant", not "DQ the Hometown Ice Cream Place" like in Rayne, Welsh, Eunice, or Opelousas. It's a fast food restaurant designed to move people in and out. After a minuet of looking over it with my friends trying to figure out what to get and who's paying what they asked "ma'am are you ready?" as a way to rush us. This Dairy Queen sucks!! Those kids that work in there are not helpful, everything you ask them about something in there, the answer is "I don't know". There was water all over floor by the soda fountain, after I told one of the employees about it, to avoid a fall, she looked at me as if she really didn't care. I waited 30 minutes for a sundae, which was just ice cream with bananas cut up on top. The burger tasted as if they had just removed it from the microwave.
