I visited this location on 4/12/2026, ordering chicken strips and a blizzard and it gave me horrible food poisoning. Will not return.

Oh boy. My mom, sister, and I waited in the drive-thru line before the actual window for about 30ish minutes. We ordered, things went okay. We got to the window, and waited about 5-10 minutes before they even opened to receive payment. We got all our food, but not the 2 blizzards that we ordered. We waited another 10 minutes for our blizzards- when we finally got them, food was cold and one blizzard was pretty melted. My sister said she could see the blizzards sitting on the counter while not a single worker was paying attention to the drive-thru. Also, I seen a couple employee boys inside kind of just standing around looking confused- mind you, this is a dinner rush! When we paid for our food, the teenage girl worker says we somehow tipped $4 on accident? My mom didn't press anywhere near the tip button. They gave us the money back, but we also ordered 6 fry sauces and only got 3. We asked for the rest and the girl argued about it slightly for a goofy reason. This is such a terrible place, they were sooooo slow and the workers were a mess. The place was so unsanitary and there were workers just sitting at tables on their phones not doing anything. The food was disgusting and such a waste of money. The smell was freakin atrocious when you walk in and smelt like restroom. The soda had no flavor and was total carbonation. UPDATE: Night and day difference the last few months at this location. Our blizzards are actually cold and thick! They also have ample mix-ins. The the line is usually long due to Covid and the dining room being closed. However, the line moves at a decent rate. Service is friendly and kind. Overall, this location has improved greatly!!! The individual who took my order in the drive through handed me the wrong item and I said that I didn't order that and she freaked out at me and was so extremely rude and kept questioning me. Stopped for dinner on the way home Friday afternoon and ordered 2 - 4 piece chicken strip meals. After waiting 10 minutes to get our order at the drive up window, we got our order. The chicken "strips" were really just large nuggets and were as tough as jerky. I am not sure if this was due to overcooking or leaving them for hours under the warmer. The usually great fries were about half an order each box and were just as tough as the chicken jerky strips. I guess this is another restaurant to mark off the possible places to eat. We used to love the DQ and the chicken strips were one of our favorite. Please explain the mentality behind raising prices and cutting order size and quality. Complete disaster. Two young girls chatted while food sat and got cold and ice cream was served completely melted. Another employee asked the girls if they were busy, they said yes and continued to sit and talk.. People in front of us requested refunds because they never received their food and couldn't wait any longer. I believe Covid has ruined customer service, however, I haven't had this bad of service in a very long time. I love this particular DQ location, far more than any other, and hence the lofty 5 stars. The store is always clean, including the bathrooms...which can be a total crapshoot at most fast food stops. (Pun intended) The service is always fast and friendly, but even more importantly, it is professional. There are 2 different managers - AJ and Paige - that go out of their way to check and see if we are enjoying our meal. Very refreshing! I should probably mention some food in this review. . Everybody knows their ice cream rocks. I love their Blizzards and dipped cones. But those Dilly Bars! What can I say? I'm a 2 fisted Dilly Bar crusher!But the crazy thing is how good the rest of the menu is. I really like their burgers! Worst DQ I've been to. Called our order number so we picked up our ice cream. Got to table and realized it was wrong. Took it back and our receipt and got it straightened out. Watched employee hand some of the blizzards we had returned to another customer. Waited 20 more minutes for food. Got it to our table and realized we were missing a bunch. Took receipt to counter and was told we had picked up the wrong order. I said we picked up our number and was told there were 2 orders with same number and was asked to bring our food back. I told employe that my kids had opened everything but the chicken meal. Was told to get it. Employee took it and put it in other customers bag. Watched employees wipe dripping caramel on the side of the counters; pick a stack of cups off the floor and put them on the counter; drop sundae cups on a messy ice cream covered counter and pick them and use them. I have never witnessed anything more disfunctional in my life. Didn't know whether to laugh or get mad. Every staff member had no idea what they were doing. I was just watching every order get messed up. We got our food, our order was wrong, our shakes were melty and our fries were cold. The ice cream quality is good and you won't regret the purchase. The speed is slow most times, but the crew is nice and friendly which makes up for it on drive thru (I don't order other food items and always do drive thru). My wife and I stopped into Kaysville Dairy Queen on 07/23/21 to get Blizzards for the family. It was hot so when we got them home we put them in the freezer and everyone waited for them to freeze a little. When we got them out we discovered one was made incorrectly and so one of us didn't get to eat theirs. We returned (with the receipt) on 07/24 to get the small blizzard remade and were told that there was nothing they could do for us. What great customer service! Line was long and slow. Their appeared to be lots of employees and a lot of talking not working. Similar to the other review, they don't want your feedback. I ordered a pumpkin pie blizzard with pecans added and when I got home, there were no pecans. I did not get a receipt so I don't know if I got charged. The two small cones were kids size, not smalls, and my sons cheese curds weren't hot and tasted like they had been sitting there or were stale before cooked. This location seems to be suffering, as the lights are all off by 8pm. Not sure if their store hours just need to be updated online and on their doors, but the drive through is often closed by 830. It doesn't seem like they have a lack of potential customers looking to buy, just lack of keeping the doors open. Hope this is temporary- in this state they can't last much longer. read more

In high school, I worked at a Dairy Queen so I have a soft spot for the crews at these places. This one is pretty good. I have had good experiences all of the times I have been. It is the cleanest restaurant? No. Is it the fastest? No. But they deliver Dairy Queen quality food at Dairy Queen prices. The last time I went I got some blizzards and the ice cream wasn't "over the top" like I remember making back in the day. Because the ice cream was all below the rim, it wasn't too impressive for them to hand the cups to me upside down. But the ratio of candy to ice cream was spot on. This place is awful and has a sign in the drive up window that basically tells the customer that they do not want to hear criticism, they think their employees are wonderful. I would very much disagree. They take too long to make the items and they often make mistakes. I have been there several times and they never get my order correct. And today was the last straw. I got one of their burgers, the two cheese bacon burger. I asked to have just the cheddar cheese because I do not like the other cheese they put on it. Some funky white cheese. They put both cheeses on the burger today and this is the third they have failed to fill my order correctly. Maybe it's because half of my family worked here when I was younger. Maybe it's because my dad would always take me here for treats when I was younger. Maybe it's because it's just down the street from my house. Whatever the reason, I LOVE Dairy Queen's dipped cones and fries! Honestly, I think it's one of the best treats out there! You'd think that living within walking distance of your choice ice cream spot, you' get sick of it... No. Not me. Not Dairy Queen. Blizzards, pretty good. I personally recommend the Blizzard - with a little extra Butterfinger (for free, if you think you can swing it!). But the dipped cones are why I love Dairy Queen. I just get the small size, it seems to do me just fine. And the kids finish their kid's size cones as well. Somehow, I always convince myself to also get fries too. Usually, it's after I've already started eating my cone. I'll just smell them or see the advertisements they have there on the table of different deals. Either way, it gets me 90% of the time. Who woulda thunk it? I give Dairy Queen 5 stars because it's so dang tasty! It's fun to take the kids for an afternoon or evening treat. Drive thru experience after many visits: - Many mistakes - they 90% of the time mess up our order. - One of the older lady employees was rude to me when I tried to confirm that they heard and got our order right. -The manager with the short 'sassy mom' hairdo is always unfriendly and far from a good leader - I only go back because I need my blizzards. Pretty pathetic management. **UPDATE** July 2017 Went back to this location mostly because I'm lazy and don't want to drive to their other locations. I know, weak. Anyway, they messed up my order again - I asked for chocolate ice cream and they gave me a vanilla. Pretty simple fix right? Well when the employee went back to tell the manager that we wanted chocolate ice cream, the manager rolled her eyes and threw her head back like 'what an inconvenience!' Horrible service. I ordered a large Reese's Blizzard and a Large Oreo Cheesecake. They first handed me a Oreo and I thought "not right but that's okay" and then they handed me an Oreo cheesecake and shut the window. I tried to get their attention, then honked, then tapped on the window and a girl working turned around and rolled her eyes and walked away. She returned and after I told her my order was wrong they continued to insist that I owed $5 more dollars because I hadn't paid for the third shake when I just wanted the correct one. After explaining three times that I was there for two milkshakes and did not order two Oreo they finally made it and asked for the wrong one back. If you like reheated or old food this is the place for you! When I pulled up in the drive thru I did ask if I could place two orders. The tone in the employees voice when replied with a yes was definitely not a true yes. You could tell she was annoyed. Neither of us had big orders but it took forever. The best part is they have a sign on the window saying to treat the employees nicely or you can apply and do their job better or something to that note. I took the order home (about 6 minutes away) to find it cold. The fries and pretzel sticks ice cold and reheated or from hours before. I called and they offered to remake my food. Went back and added one hamburger to the order. I had to request the added burger cause they forgot it. I even had a receipt showing I just bought and added one. This burger was not added to the original order because they missed adding to the order. The missed the added burger and I had to ask for it. Normally I go out of my way to write good reviews but this DQ is filthy and the food is cold and very sloppy. I had to do a second order after they realized they were out of shrimp so I ordered a cheeseburger and a honey bbq chicken basket, the cheeseburger had been around since earlier in the day and the 6 piece chicken basket was covered in the wrong sauce and had about 12 tiny pieces of sloppy chicken piled on top of the fries which were covered in BBQ sauce and not edible OH and today have $40 worth of charges on my debit card from this filthy unorganized establishment for $11 worth of inedible food. Arrived to pick up cake, took 4 people 17 mins to figure it out.
