Food was good. But the customer service from the employee at the window was horrible. Didn't say one word to me besides the price. Looked at me on annoyance. Take-out has been available way before restaurants opened. With the new governor's mandate about all employees wearing masks covering nose and mouth to protect each other and customers, it's been interesting to see what establishments comply. The food was good. Absolutely no complaint on the freshly cooked hamburger and fries. Staff was friendly. However, and this is a big however, girl working drive-thru had the mask covering her mouth. It was pulled down from her nose and just her mouth. From what I could see through the window other employees were wearing their masks. This girl was not being protective and not in compliance with the state mandate. Also, as she hands your change and order to you her face comes under the window and out... EEK. I know this because my debit card texts me the second a purchase has been made. 1st order was $25.36 the text I received said $35 ocean beach 2nd order this time in kelso. My older came to $10.45 then the text and I was charged $20 The other day I had $8 in my account and I ordered a $4 milkshake. Well guess what? The card was declined for insufficient funds!!! We have round & sheet birthday cakes"....Now I KNOW they have blizzard & mini blizzard cakes. I asked how far in advance should I order it. "24 hours". OK. Now. I was upset but my granddaughter wanted an ice cream cake, it was cheaper than Baskin-Robbins & the location was convenient. I ordered it 4 days in advance. It was NOT ready. We cannot deny the blizzard was good! But we also ordered a bacon cheeseburger meal, and I ordered a flamer Thrower meal. They asked us to pull up and wait for our food to be ready. We live basically across the street maybe 15 ish houses down aswell We got home to eat our food and it was cold. Not warm not anything just cold. Our fries were cold in the middle. I called and made a complaint, a very detailed message with my phone number and never received a call back. Ordered our food at about 350pm today, our total was 15.56 for 2 of their lunches and a cheeseburger for my son. We paid 25.56, anyone that can do math knows that means we get an even 10$ back. Well they shorted us said 10$ in change and didn't give us a receipt. We turn around to get it back and the cashier tells the manager "No I said the total wrong it was actually 25.56 so it was exact"... 6+6+2.50=14.50+tax doesn't come out to 25 dollars. Anyways after arguing with the manager twice they said they'd count their til and if it's over 10$ they'll call us and took our name and number; it's now 7pm and we still haven't heard about our 10$. This Dairy Queen is back after being repaired and remodeled for a few months after a nasty fire. I was there today on it's opening day on a total impulse when I saw all the cars in the parking lot. Quite pleased to have a DQ back in the area for their ice cream, hot dogs and various other items. I had a burger and a shrimp basket. Both were well made and quite appetizing. I really enjoy DQs food and I think they're one of the best fast food chains going. This DQ was on it's game with excellent customer service on it's opening day. I also can't help but notice that the entire staff was attractive young ladies. Don't know if they're all new but I got my food in a reasonable amount of time and the staff was competent and respectful. Only reason I don't give it five stars is I think it's a little pricey ($3.70 for a hot dog) but it's completely reasonable. Nipps is still the undisputed king of fast food in the area but it's really nice to have a DQ again on this side of town. read more

I am not one to write reviews; in fact, I didn't even have Yelp downloaded on my phone prior to this. But this was worth downloading and taking the time out of my night to write. To be honest, I should have written this months ago, because that's how long I've had horrible customer service here. At first, I gave the employees the benefit of the doubt because I too work in customer service, I get it. It's not fun. However, for the past 6 months, each time I've gone through the drive thru (which isn't that often, so there's quite a gap in between visits) the employees have been BEYOND rude. Tonight, I went to get a few Blizzards and saw that the line was super long and it was also later in the day, so I knew the employees were going to be burnt out and irritated (based off of my experience with them). Sure enough, when I was ordering, I couldn't remember if the Peanut Buster Parfait came in one size or numerous sizes. When I asked, the employee interrupted me with a monotoned "No, no, it comes in one size!" When I drove up to the window, I smiled at the guy who grabbed my card and gave it back to me without a peep. When I asked for a carrier, he sighed and grabbed one. Obviously this instance isn't as bad as the previous ones but it was just the fact that I already expected a bad experience to begin with. During the previous times I've had bad experiences, I had people in the car with me who also noticed their bad attitudes. I get it, fast food can be challenging, but not every customer is difficult, so you shouldn't automatically treat them like they are right off the bat. This location recently re-opened so we thought we'd check it out keeping in mind that it was a chain "restaurant". The interior and exterior were remodeled and look nice. The interior was pretty clean (the first booth we went to sit at could have used a good wipe down). While they were busy, the food came pretty fast. I had the bacon burger combo and Debbie had the chicken strip basket. I found mine to be ok. It was standard Dairy Queen fare. Debbie's chicken strips looked like they'd been cut from an anemic chicken and she said they were "not good". Nothing special with more breading than chicken. She also said the fries could have been cooked longer. Oh yea, plenty of pepper packets but no salt available. Which was surprising with all the employees running around. So, standard Dairy Queen food. We'll be back for the ice cream but will seek lunch/dinner elsewhere in the future. read more

Been to this establishment 2 days in a row spending $15.00 on blizzards both days. The 3 blizzards have not been mixed only 3 1/2 slices is bananas & 1 1/2 strawberries in each one the rest is just colored ice cream. Terrible customer service later in the afternoon of August 25 very disorganized long lines long waiting the girl at the cash register had no clue what she was doing a girl working the drive-through named Macy was rude and curt, crabby looking running back-and-forth between the drive up window and the front cashier making people wait. there were two managers meandering around the hallway outside the office just yakking with each other not helping. there was ice cream sitting up on the shelf melting the blizzards looks like if they flip them they would hit the floor in a hot second because they looked like slop, there were two cones, Ice cream cones sitting up there melting.
