Super good burgers were cooked well and loved the blizzards I liked the chicken a lot too

I hadn't been to a Dairy Queen for almost 40 years and decided to give the one in town a try. I ordered online and took advantage of a coupon, then headed out to the store when the order was expected to be ready. The line at the pickup window was moving well and I picked up by burgers, fries and Blizzard, along with hot dogs on time. I must say that the food was very good with the burgers being as good or better than the other well known chain burger joints in town. The Blizzard was delicious and best of all, the order was filled accurately! EVERY other carry out in town has botched the order and caused unnecessary inconvenience. The staff was friendly, efficient and professional. I would recommend you give this place a try and next time for me: the banana split! read more

Helpful Staff. Nice, unexpectedly memorable family outing. Experiences vary at a chain restaurant, even at the same one; depending on the staff at the time. That said, our experience the other day was amazing. The woman at the register was on her A game. My daughter was getting upset that I wanted her to also order dinner with her ice cream. The woman quickly said, "Here at Dairy Queen, we eat our dinner first." My daughter gave up and quit her pouting. Food was good. It's Dairy Queen. You know what it is. But the rest of the staff was also very helpful and kind. They were in there workin hard. My town isn't known for good service. I went in there expecting the worst and got the best. The female taking my order in the drive-through had a super negative tone and cut me off several times while I was trying to give it, then when I proceeded to the window to pay she was extremely rude yelling over her coworkers shoulder at me and my 16 year old daughter. I heard her taking other orders behind me and she was rude to them also. read more

All the tables were filthy and our chicken strips were burnt black. I asked when the last time the fryer oil was changed and was informed it was changed a week ago because "no one wants to do it " We threw out our food and left. A waste of $24 dollars. read more

I waited quite a long time in the drive thru line even though it wasn't crowded. Looking at the menu board I saw that I had to settle for a Coke product... So I got root beer. As I finally pulled to the window I see a Dr.Pepper fountain... They already poured my soda and I didn't want to have them waste it. After another couple minutes I get my food. I pull into a spot to check it and it's wrong. What a pain in the ass! Now I have to go in. This defeats the purpose of me using the drive thru. The manager is at the counter and I explain how my order is wrong. Thankfully, he makes no excuses. He just offers apologies and 2 free sundae coupons. I'm glad that they made an effort to make it right. They also offered to let me keep the burger they made wrong. It was nice of them to offer but, I wasn't going to eat it. Only three stars because of the wait during a time when they weren't busy, and they butchered my order. Their saving grace is how they handled their mistake. read more

This Dairy queen is awful. We have tried many times to give it another try because we love Dairy Queen ice cream. Who opens a ice cream shop and not carry the standard flavors. For months they have not had chocolate ice cream. They keep saying the machine hasn't arrived. I think the machine was never ordered and will never arrive. They need to get it together and that owner needs to do it right or get out of the business. I have to give it 1 star just to get this to post. The star should be a minus. read more

This is the worst diary queen I have ever been too. The customer service is the worst I have ever seen. The employees are extremely rude. I will never come again. This isn't the first time, it seems to be every time I go to this DQ (Mount Vernon, OH) that when I order the Chicken Strip w/ Gravy meal I get less than half a tiny cup of gravy for all my food, my fries are cold and my toast is still just bread barely brown and smothered in butter, Gross. Went to get a cone. The cone was bigger than the ice cream on it. I have ordered small at other Dairy Queen's but they weren't this small. When I complained they didn't show any amount of customer service. The guy that put ice cream in cup just hid around corner. Wimp! Ordered a cookie dough blizzard with no choc syrup in it... when I got it it was just plain vanilla ice cream with choc syrup in it soooo I sent it back because it was not what I wanted! Then I got my blizzard the 2nd time with no choc syrup in it which was good, but they actually gave me 5 cookie dough pieces... will not be going back... read more

Waited an hour in line for food, gave no discount or free item, were rude

Me and a friend of mine stopped by this Dairy Queen since we were new to the area, and we were both pleasantly surprised. For starters, the food was better than average. My friend got a mushroom and Swiss burger, and she said it was one of the best burgers she had in a while. And I can say without exaggeration that this Dairy Queen has some of the nicest waitstaff of any restaurant I've ever been to, chain or professional. We had never actually eaten in at a Dairy Queen, only gotten ice cream via drive through, and the woman at the cashier was incredibly helpful in walking us through the process. She seemed happy to help us, and in turn, we were happy to eat there. The only complaint I had was that that new-fangled "50-Drinks-In-One" machine was down for maintenance, but that's just bad luck, not the management slighting us. It was already up and running again by the time we left. I would DEFINITELY recommend stopping by here if you want a quick bite. read more

Last year around this time I had an epic fail - ordered some desserts and they skimped on the Ice Cream, when I requested a little "Extra" to make the desserts look like the sign, got lip and hassle. I called coporate and got it straightened out. Since then I've eaten there about a couple dozen times, not often but often enough. Last night I went there again to just have a little dessert and treat my wife and same thing but less Ice Cream - for as much as their prices are their desserts need to look just like all the poster and online ads...anyways I asked for my money back and the window person gave us a different receipt from another customer and took our receipt and said she'd get it corrected.
