Stopped by for a couple blizzards this evening. My wife had a Peanut Butter Blizzard and I had the Blizzard of the Month (Mint Oreo Cookie). The server was not friendly (i.e. no greeting or "how can I help you?" Only a blank stare). After talking our order, made both blizzards for us. When finished, he handed them to us without a comment and not inverting them as we typically would expect from Dairy Queen. This may appear trivial but it has been the trademark Blizzard presentation at Dairy Queen for years. It was nice to see the manager on duty, hopefully she can observe first-hand that employee customer serve training is needed. We like Dairy Queen and are hoping this franchise continues to be open and thrives unlike nearby the Diboll that closed recently. The Lufkin location certainly has had a rocky past year but hopefully management will intercede to ensure continued improvements are made. For instance, half the dining room has been blocked off for months and the old tile floor has been removed. Most of the customers seem to be using the drive-thru and they are very likely oblivious to the state of the interior. Overall, the blizzards were acceptable and I took a star off because of the poor customer service and the condition of the restaurant. read more

Every time I give you guys another chance, you drop the ball. I paid +$8 to add cheese to 4 burgers and add chili cheese to my fries. And I guess I just donated that money instead because I got zero cheese with my order. For some reason, you served me my ice cream a full 20 minutes before giving me my food, so it was completely melted before I even left the parking lot. I called six times to attempt to resolve the matter with my food, and no one answered. You had at least 6 people working when I ordered. Not one of you could answer the phone or double-check the accuracy of the order. Do you guys enjoy being known as the worst dairy queen in 50 miles? read more

When we ordered our meal at the Drive through, we were told by the staff there was no milk for the strawberry shake, and no lids for our cokes. Followed by being told we could not stay in the drive through to wait for our food with no vehicle behind us. When we told by the other staff we were not allowed to wait there, all being very rude and disrespectful. When we finally got our food, the employee that bought it out to us again very rude, and not even a thank you for the long wait. I have always enjoyed Dairy Queen, will not ever go there again. read more

We had a craving for something sweet on our road trip home and stopped here mostly for convenience. Wish we went somewhere else. Anywhere else. The cashier could not take our order. We just wanted a burger on its own. She said we couldn't have that. After a few iterations of this, we gave up and just asked for a number one and a couple of blizzards. Total came out to be around $15. Blizzards were ok I guess. The mint brownie bits were chewy and not at all like brownies. The fries tasted like fish. They were out of almost all drinks, with only Coke Zero left. The burger came out burnt with only some lettuce in there. We asked about the burger and they said they were out of all the ingredients. Why did they neglect to tell us this when ordering?? And still charge us full price. I don't care how hungry you are. Just stay away. read more

Ordered 2 steak finger baskets through the drive thru and got home with them and the gravy was like water, when we called them, they said they had just made it and it takes 20 minutes to thickin up. This has to be one of the absolute worst Dairy Queen's in the country. I would not consider the food safe to eat, specially if you don't like tolerating bad service from the staff. In fact after spending nearly $15 I was called rude by the staff because I questioned the pricing, the food was served cold, and after that encounter I didn't dare eat it. In fact, I think I'll send it to a laboratory for testing to see if non food stuffs were added. If you pull in and the staff is hanging out in the parking lot, you're better off to keep right on driving. I'll never go back there. The entitled racist workers don't deserve to even be employed much less at an establishment that serves food! read more

Any way.. we got the renewed samdwich.cold not toasred, and had weird taste.. we noticed ants coming out of the original bag and the new small nag we just took out the rwplaced samdwich. If I am going to DQ, more than likely it is for ice cream. This time was no exception. I went through the drive-thru and ordered 7 items. They were prepared correctly and the the girl working the window was friendly and they were pretty quick about getting me my order. I'm not sure what more I can expect. After a busy night I wanted to sit down and have a nice meal and unwind. I was the only one there but as soon as I came in I was greeted. I ordered a Hungerbuster combo and they cooked it just right. Very courteous and nice. I will be returning. read more

The lady at the window is very pleasant. The blizzards were perfect too. I give it 1 star for the cook. 3 times I said plain burger and clarified no mayo, no ketchup, no mustard. What does she do, put mayo on the burger. Plain means plain, just that simple. You can't even get an order right? Read the screen, it is that simple. I tried this Dairy Queen bc I'm tired of the one on Atkinson disappointing me. I can't win. If I'm going to pay almost $30 for a meal, I expect it to be good when I can pay way less and get a way better/accurate order. I go to dq for the ice cream. read more

I believe I actually encountered the cast of The Night of the Living Dead at this DQ. Does the owner not know how this place is being run? The Manager is the cook & takes the drive through orders while two counter employees just stand there glazed over and stare. I saw people come in and leave without ordering because no one would take their order. We ordered 2 Blizzards and the woman said she had to keep the receipt so she could remember what to make. Getting a grilled chicken salad & fresh coffee seemed to take an act of Congress. The only reason they got one star is because I was unable to post unless I selected a star. When asked if they had coffee, the girl behind the counter looked at us quite bewildered and said "if there is some over there in the thing, then yes. But if it is, it's been there since this morning" while vaguely gesturing toward the drink machine. When asked if she could make some fresh, she just replied "I don't know", and seemed unwilling to ask even when we requested. When asked what type of lettuce was in the salad, once again she just gave us the 1,000 yard stare. She then insisted it was iceberg, even though I told her if I'd had the salad before and it was a romaine blend. Three of us ordered our food and sat down to wait while they tried to resolve "coffee gate". We finally located the manager and he said yes, they could make coffee, but no one moved to do so for quite a while. He told us again that he lettuce was iceberg, then finally decided it wasn't. The fourth in our party finally ordered her salad and coffee. When it FINALLY arrived after asking for it three times, she was told that they probably had creamer, but they weren't sure where it was. My daughter and I then ordered mini blizzards after our meal, and the girl who took our order (a different girl) asked if she could keep our receipt she could remember what to make. Not only is the staff unwilling to provide proper service, I don't think they even possess the ability. Not to mention the fact that ice cream prep area was FILTHY, and there was water and tea spilled all over the floor during our visit that stayed the entire time. read more
