    Ridiculously slow drive thru. Always!

Has to be the slowest DQ ever! 30 minutes in a drive thru line???? I don't understand what could take soooo long.

Large fry given to me half full

The people are always nice and the food is good. I live in Sanger so this is a place I go. A lot of little things have happened on my visits that causes me not to go as much as I would like. See the pic below from my most recent visit, large fries literally given to me half full, prob about the same amount of a small McDonald's fry. Visit before that after waiting 20 min for our ice cream order I went up to the window asking for my order and they didn't even have our order. The ice machine on the Coke dispenser in the dining room has been broken for over a year. They were out of lettuce one time, how does that happen. A few times it's smelled of dirty laundry when entering and we immediately left without ordering. Wish our DQ could be better but it seems it's poorly managed. The person taking our order tried to swipe my card and told me my card wasn't working, only to find out the cc swiped was unplugged . Just a lot of little things and often.

    Butterfinger Blizzard

We ordered two medium sized blizzards from DQ in Sanger, TX. Our blizzards from here are rarely full to the brim of the cup and often have a lot of air pockets which is disappointing. You should get a full serving of ice cream in the size cup that you pay for. I have to say this last time was really bad! The butterfinger blizzard was well over an inch below the brim as shown in this photo. The caramel cannon ball blizzard was actually heaping full but as you dug into it, it was extremely soupy. It was more like a very runny shake than a blizzard.

This was a "freshly" made burger

The employees saw me walking up to the door and ran to lock it even though they still had 45 minutes left of being open.

Even though the staff was arguing over who had to clean up the puck in the men's room, my steak fingers were good.

Good accessibility, and a few photo-op places, too! Staff at both places (Fatburger and the station, where we had to buy one of our drinks from the cooler at Fatburger, because it wasn't their product) were friendly and courteous. Great burger! The XXL (1-lb) was two patties, thick and juicy, good flavor. The meat patty itself didn't have a lot of salt or seasoning on it, which I liked. Just delicious hamburger. I went with the toppings as they come--lettuce, tomato, mayo, relish, mustard, and onion--and it was a good combo with the meat. I don't think I'd do the relish again, though; it added a sweet, aromatic flavor to the burger I don't usually look for. All in all, I think this burger stacks up nicely with a Whataburger. The chicken sandwich wasn't as fat as the burger. Maybe ask for a double meat sandwich? Came with lettuce, tomato, and mayo. The kid downed it before I had a chance to ask for a second pic. Both the XXL burger and onion rings were super oily. The burger left a little pool of water and oil in the bottom of the wrapper (see video). Thankful they double wrapped it!! Managed to eat on the road with no problems because of it. The chicken sandwich wasn't as oily. The onion rings left a little pool of oil at the bottom of their paper container, too. Oh! They also have two kinds of spice sauces, I think for the breakfast burritos, but I enjoyed them with my onion rings. Good flavor on both. Red (more tomato-y, not spicy at all) and green (nicely spicy, fresh pepper flavor, not a crazy burn, lingers and dissipates nicely). Kinda pricey, at about $33 for all that, but I've got caloric fuel for the rest of the day, now! Thankful for this location and the friendly faces helping out here! God bless y'all!

It's still a big deal to find modestly priced high-quality burgers served super fast. This isn't your Mickey D's or those five dudes or even that burger royalty. In-N-Out is simply awesome and they now have some 40 locations across Texas. Mrs. K. and I stopped in because I saw the big neon sign tower from the highway and could not resist. After parking (because the Sprinter won't fit in their drive through), I ordered at the counter. it was busy at 6:30pm on a weekday so it did take about ten minutes before my number was called. That gave Mrs. K. enough time to drain a first cup of sweet tea and send me for a refill. I picked up my burger and brought it back to the table. A "double double" which comes with two burger patties and two slices of cheese plus the other great stuff, along with a small basket of fries. Mrs. K. isn't eating meat these days so while I enjoyed the heck out of this hot and delicious burger, she consumed about half of the fries. A couple of things to keep in mind, that I had forgotten. In-N-Out has a great secret menu. You can order our burger "animal style" which adds mustard grilled beef, extra pickles, extra grilled onions and extra sauce (it's like Thousand-Island dressing). And I forgot that In-N-Out does their fries a little light - I have to remember to ask for them well done for crispy fries. Next time! [Review 413 of 2026 - 722 in Texas - 25596 overall]
