For a long day at the ball fields, Dairy Queen was exactly what we needed. We ordered the steak finger basket and tacos, and it really hit the spot after being outside all day. It wasn't busy when we first got there, but it got packed pretty quickly while we were eating, which says a lot about how popular this location is. The only thing that stood out was the service. When our food was brought out, the basket was kind of tossed onto the table, and the toast ended up scattered across the tabletop. Not the end of the world, but it did feel a little unsanitary. What made it more noticeable was that it happened, there was a pause like it was acknowledged, and then it was just left without being addressed. Overall, the food was what we needed and definitely satisfied the post-ballgame hunger, but a little more intentionality from the staff would really improve the experience. read more

Not usually one to leave reviews, but after the service I relieved here I felt I should. The managers here are rude, liars, and inconsiderate of customers. They promise one thing and then treat you wrongly and take back what they said. I would avoid this location at all costs. It's worth the drive to just go to Denton. Also, their drive thru speaker has been broken for months, and the workers act like it's their first day on earth every time they talk to you. read more

You will wait forever for your order and typically it is wrong or a very poor consistency. This place needs a complete overhaul. The people are always nice and the food is good. I live in Sanger so this is a place I go. A lot of little things have happened on my visits that causes me not to go as much as I would like. See the pic below from my most recent visit, large fries literally given to me half full, prob about the same amount of a small McDonald's fry. Visit before that after waiting 20 min for our ice cream order I went up to the window asking for my order and they didn't even have our order. The ice machine on the Coke dispenser in the dining room has been broken for over a year. They were out of lettuce one time, how does that happen. A few times it's smelled of dirty laundry when entering and we immediately left without ordering. Wish our DQ could be better but it seems it's poorly managed. The person taking our order tried to swipe my card and told me my card wasn't working, only to find out the cc swiped was unplugged . Just a lot of little things and often. read more

I came in tonight (6/7/2022) at about 8:30pm. Ordered a burger, fries and drink. After several other people ordered after me and got their food, I went and asked about mine. They said they were making it. Another 10 minutes went by and they brought it out. A burger, fries and a box that contained chicken strips and fries. I didn't notice the box with the chicken strips until I had already started eating my burger and fries. I figured I would just throw it away. Just as I finished my meal, someone must've inquired about their chicken strips. Stopped here on road trip for lack of better choice. Service here is baaaad. Went through drive through, ordered tacos and fish basket, was told to wait on the other side of the building and it would be brought out to me. 15 minutes later, we still had no food and had been forgotten. I went inside to see what the hold up was as we needed to get back on the road, and there was our order, sitting idly under the hot lamps and growing colder by the second. It took another 5 minutes for someone to acknowledge me standing at the counter, and when someone finally asked what I needed, I told them 'ummm...MY ORDER'! The response was 'Well it's sitting right here!'. No duh. (Avoiding the expletives that we're running through my head). The lady finally handed me two boxes. No bag, no utensils, no napkins, no taco sauce, no nothing but two boxes of cold food. Ugh. We travel this road almost every weekend but will definitely NOT be stopping here again!! We ordered two medium sized blizzards from DQ in Sanger, TX. Our blizzards from here are rarely full to the brim of the cup and often have a lot of air pockets which is disappointing. You should get a full serving of ice cream in the size cup that you pay for. I have to say this last time was really bad! The butterfinger blizzard was well over an inch below the brim as shown in this photo. The caramel cannon ball blizzard was actually heaping full but as you dug into it, it was extremely soupy. If I could give it zero stars I would. They obviously have a new manager and she screams at the kids working there and I quote "I will kill and bury you" at the top of her lung I guess she didn't know I was inside the restaurant. It's also extremely dirty now. Last but definitely not least a mouse or rat ran over my foot I got out of their as quickly as possible and will never be back and honestly anyone who is supporting that location is horrible. We stopped off for a quick snack on our way to Oklahoma. Small itsy bitsy town of Sanger. Drive through service was like Bill and Ted's excellent adventure. The guy couldn't get it right. When we drove to the window he looked to be about 14 yrs old. Doesn't look like anyone over 17 works at this restaurant. Where are the adults? Probably took the night off. It is the 4th of July. I forgot why I never go here. I called in my order at 4:30 because they're always slow at getting the orders ready. I got there at 5:00 and order wasn't ready., so I ordered a Reese's blizzard. The guy had me pay for it and walked off. The manager had to tell him to go make it. When he handed it to me there was a hair on/in it (no one was wearing a hairnet). The teenager at the drive through was on her phone while taking the order first off. Second, I order a mini turtle pecan cluster with extra pecans. It didn't even have pecans in it. So horrible, the last straw is Friday night when I sat in the drive thru for an hour only to get home to everything in my bag WRONG, AND I asked 3 times to make sure my daughter had her ice cream and yet no ice cream! The food was good and the staff was friendly. But it was very cold, so cold I could not enjoy. When I talked to staff they advised that the furnace was broken and that they have to wear thermals and jackets to work. They advised that they have told the corporate office about the problem but that they will not fix it so they just have to deal with it. The coffee pot was broken so they could not make any coffee for customers. They advised that it had been broken for a long time as well. I have several elderly friends that will not go here because it is just to cold for them. They have also recently raised their prices a lot!! And have also made their portion sizes smaller. There are no DQ's around my home and this is a welcomed surprise to see on any road trip. The food is pretty good but not anything to write home about. I haven't been in a DQ in twenty years and it's probably going to be another twenty before I go back. My son and I walk in well after lunch, well after the rush and we are almost the only customers but have to wait almost ten minutes at the front counter while employees chatter, drink a milk shake, generally walk around doing very little. The interior has improved since 20 years ago but the nice decor still gets messy, greasy, trashy, leaking and empty ice tea containers sitting in a puddle of ice tea on a filthy counter. I'm not having a bad day either as I'd just picked my son up at Love Field and we were really enjoying the day driving back to Oklahoma City. It was DQ having the bad day. Food was just acceptable, nothing special and not tasting fresh as I believe it was pre cooked and reheated, (or at least it tasted that way). Stopped in at my local DQ in Sanger over the weekend. Don't normally eat there, but decided to because I wanted to try that Rolo blizzard. It was the worst, they must have a bunch of kids running that place that know how to move at one speed SLOW. My order came up wrong, and all I asked for was mustard instead of mayo. Thank goodness it wasn't anything too difficult, we would have been in trouble. The good news is the Rolo blizzard is wonderful. I recommend it. But use the drive thru at this location. It's a shame because I love Dairy Queen, but every time I come here it takes twice the amount of time it should normally take, especially if you are going through the drive thru, expect to have them ask you to pull around to the other side of the site where you will wait for then to bring it it to you 7-19 minutes later.
