He ordered an Oreo blizzard but then changed his mind and they were happy to accommodate his request. Over charged, refused to make some of the ice cream items on the menu's because "that's not what they do" when we called back and asked why we we're basically charged double they said it's because they are a franchise not a real DQ. Please save yourself and do not go here. I am traveling back from South Carolina back to my home town in Ohio. So we used this as a rest stop place, to go to the bathroom and grab a quick bite. I checked the reviews on yelp and it had 2 stars at the time. I also had a 2 star Dairy Queen in my home town and in my opinion it's not a bad Dairy Queen. So we took are chance and we went it. First off we all had to go to the washroom the ladies washroom was out of order so the women used the men's instead. After my dad used the bathroom he said there was a puddle of urine on the floor. Without telling my sister she went in unknowing of the conditions of this bathroom. When she was done she came out and told us when she kick down the seat of the toilet there was poop splattered on the seat. It was disgusting in there we drove to a McDonald instead to go to the bathroom. We still got food there though. My sister, my brother and I all got chicken nuggets you don't get fries or anything on the side. The chicken nuggets were disgusting. I only ate one and my appetite was ruined.So if you want fries you will have to order them separately. My sister and I order a "Royal New York Cheesecake Blizzard" I got mine but my sister's never came out. We couldn't prove to them that we order one it just never came out because everything we ordered wasn't individually separated on the receipt. It just gave us the total. So she just ordered a vanilla ice cream cone instead. I did get my blizzard though. The blizzard was ok. It was basically just a strawberry blizzard because it barely had any cheesecake bites in it. When we watched them working and they seem in panic and there was no sense of organization. Also we couldn't help but notice there ice cream machine was shaking and making and extremely loud noise. Besides everything else the employees were decently nice when ordering so that's a plus. Overall this was not a pleasant trip. It did although make me grateful for my Dairy Queen in my hometown. I strongly suggest you don't go here. All other reviews that gave this place 4 stars obviously didn't go inside. I'm not huge on hitting Dairy Queen, but when I do, they're consistent. This was the first time I went to a DQ where the product definitely didn't live up to expectations. Two blizzards were ordered. The first one got a quick flip upside down, and was handed over. It definitely wasn't thick. When mine came, they flipped it very quickly, but also had a lid on it as it was very loose and a lot of liquid. They flipped the blizzard so quickly that I could have done that with my drink. I also ordered a bottle of water, but they told me that they were out as the shipment hadn't come in. I can see why this once has some rough reviews, and they certainly failed to meet expectations tonight. read more

Personally, I had a great experience here...good customer service, fast and friendly and good quality. The hot dogs are delicious but I do have to say that they should be a little cheaper I believe. But overall, I was satisfied , considering most of the time, anywhere I order , by the time I get home , food is cold when you get home. but I live more than ten minutes away from this location and it was delicious and still hot and fresh. Only complaint ., bread was a bit soggy but that's where they don't grill the buns I am assuming, which is what they do at the one in Rainelle, WV which in my book is still the winner here but still had a good experience here. Now that is on food, but about the blizzards, yeah, they hardly put enough candy in them at all. We stopped by this restaurant for lunch on July 22, 2012 and our order took 35 minutes for three small meals. We were traveling a long distance and each time I asked where our food was I was answered with "you will get it soon" or "we are making it" or "we are packing it". I am writing this review solely based upon one item the blizzard. Very seldom do I ever eat Dairy Queen; however when I do, I am usually just in an ice cream mood. Ever since I was a kid, I have eaten at this Dairy Queen when an ice cream craving hit. Here is my complaint. Instead of ordering a blizzard now, you should just order a cup of vanilla ice cream because that is what you are going to get. Since I don't eat ice cream much when I do, I often order the large blizzard (flavors differing of course). I have found when I order the large that I often get anywhere from a half to a full cup of white ice cream. I thought at first that it might have been my fault because I did not order the "extra stuff" that they now have on the menu. Which in all reality that is a rip off. If you order a blizzard, you should not have to stare to figure out what is hidden in the white ice cream. You should be able to tell "hey that is a strawberry something blizzard" or "hey that is a chocolate blizzard" without having to order the extra stuff. However, I bit my tongue, and I ordered the extra stuff. Still, I got about a half a cup of white ice cream. So then I thought, maybe I just got some new kid who did not know what they are doing so I ordered the extra stuff again the next time that I went through. And once again, I wound up with a half a cup of white ice cream. After basically repeating this process over about a two year period and visiting about 6 times during that period, I realized the problem was not me but the restaurant. Whoever runs this DQ, needs to be sure that you are getting what you pay for. I am about to the point that I will just make my own blizzard at home. I am tired of paying $4 bucks for a cup of white ice cream. The specialty blizzards even irritate me more like the apple pie blizzard and the pumpkin blizzard because your disappointment is hidden under the whip cream. Once you eat the whip cream, then you see you have a cup of white ice cream when you were expecting the beige/orange color of pumpkin. I remember a time when a strawberry blizzard was red and heaping with strawberries, when a M&M blizzard was dark with candy strewn across the top, when a Reese cup blizzard was brown with peanut butter, etc. You could tell what you got by looking at it. Oh well, maybe one day someone at this place will get their act together. read more
