Of course I was inquiring about highly allocated stuff so the prices were high on those items but fair/competitive prices on normal shelf bottles. I noticed in some posts they had bottles I do like, so I cruised down to check them out. I ended up picking up a solid bottle of bourbon I hadn't seen by me. While I was in there the owner was very kind and helpful. He was busy with a vendor but still stopped to check if I needed help. Very happy with the store, service and selection. They were also open to taking suggestions on things they didn't have and offered to order it. I thought that was awesome. I will definitely be returning and giving them my business again. Regarding this particular store I just like that the quality always matches the price. If I go to Wal-Mart and buy a broom or whatever and it breaks after one or two uses I'm pissed because it wasn't $1, but here I never seem to be let down. I go into this store with the mentality and expectation that whatever I buy will not last very long, so if I can get at least four uses out of a broom or get 3 to 10 sprays out of an air freshener; I'm happy because they did one dollars worth of work, no complaints.

On multiple occasions, I've noticed that when this employee rings me up, certain items are not scanned and a price is manually entered instead. I've also repeatedly been charged more for products when he rings me up than when the younger employees do. After noticing the pattern, it has become difficult for me to believe these are simply isolated mistakes. Customers should be able to trust that they're being charged the correct and consistent price for what they purchase. I was also uncomfortable when this same employee asked my girlfriend where she works. She is considerably younger than him and did not know him personally. Regardless of his intentions, I felt the question was inappropriate and it made us uncomfortable. I want to be clear that the younger employees here have always been chill, friendly, and pleasant to deal with. This review is not a reflection of them. I've been a loyal customer for years, which makes this especially disappointing. But after these experiences, this business has permanently lost my business and that of my loved ones.

I see fellow customers tossing items onto the floor and not picking them up. I see trash everywhere left by people and it sickens me how their is no respect for this establishment. It does take ten minutes to reach Grocery Outlet, however I find most of what I would buy at another store, the staff are helpful, and the prices are incredible in comparison. I always save at least half of what I would spend elsewhere.
