Found these guys on social media recently. Found out they are fairly new to selling Spirits. I reached out to them about some pricing. Of course I was inquiring about highly allocated stuff so the prices were high on those items but fair/competitive prices on normal shelf bottles. I noticed in some posts they had bottles I do like, so I cruised down to check them out. I ended up picking up a solid bottle of bourbon I hadn't seen by me. While I was in there the owner was very kind and helpful. He was busy with a vendor but still stopped to check if I needed help. Very happy with the store, service and selection. They were also open to taking suggestions on things they didn't have and offered to order it. I thought that was awesome. I will definitely be returning and giving them my business again. I had a great experience, they said they had a bottle that I've been looking for and on instagram I messaged them and asked if they could hold it. They did and the price was fair, overall great experience. I highly recommend this store if you're looking for allocated whiskey and hard to find tequila as tequila is the new allocated whiskey, 89 Liquors has a fair price point as well! I stopped by this store on my way back from a trip and let me tell you it is worth the stop. I found their selection to be phenomenal and the prices to be good. Customer service was excellent as well. Overall a great place to pick up some hard to find bottles. read more

Stoked to have bottle shop in Atwater that not only has some of the friendliest staff, but an incredible selection!! I've been able to cut back on runs to Fresno and Bay Area to pick up hard to find bottles that aren't over priced! The owner Raj and his son are straight shooters about what they can get - and what price works for all!! I've picked up ECBP, Russels Single Rick-house, Larceny BP and so much more!!! They've also got a great selection of additive free tequilas and he'll try and get anything you ask for!! To top it off - you can also grab a scoop of old school Thrifty"s ice cream!!! read more

If you're a tequila lover like me then you will want to visit 89 Liquors. The selection of quality and additive free tequilas is unmatched from Fresno to Modesto. Prices are competitive, employees nice and helpful. And the bourbon selection appears to be outstanding also. Do yourself a favor and take the drive to 89 Liquors and check them out, I'm pretty sure it won't be your last visit. These guys are the real deal !! read more

This, by far, is the best local liquor store. They have a great selection of liquors, and if they dont have it, they work hard to get it! They even carry Fortaleza, and if you know anything about tequila, thats the holy grail! The store is well organized, the staff is knowledgable, friendly and even communicate via instagram. This place didn't smell good and was difficult to navigate with boxed scattered throughout the aisles. We offer a wide variety of rare liquor. If we don't have it, we can always get it for you too! We have the coldest and cheapest beer in town! Some of our other services include money transfer service, check cashing, and thrifty ice cream. We also sell laundry items as we are located next to the Broadway Laundromat.

We transitioned the business from a discount store previously called 89 cent plus store to a newly remodeled liquor store, now called 89 Liquors!

The store is pretty standard, if you've been to a Daiso, you'll know what you're walking into. They have the variety of usual things, though not everything I have typically found at other locations. I came looking specifically for metal chopsticks that come with a case you can carry in your purse, sadly they did not have this. They also didn't have regular stainless steel chopsticks (wanted to get some for bfs house) and I couldn't find a particular small spatula. But I was happy to find some cute reusable bags, small gift bags, pens and other office supplies, and small bowls that match what I already have and use daily. Most items are $1.75, but not all, so be sure to pay attention to the tags. They have signs up converting yen to dollars all over so you can check. There was a good amount of staff who greet you promptly as you walk in and help with check out. I was happy to see a self checkout option (two kiosks) so you can get through the checkout quicker- it's card only though so if you're paying cash you'll have to wait for a cashier.

There's always new items every time I come, and it's not your typical "dollar store" items, they have everything from basic household items, fresh fruits and vegetables, tech accessories, and seasonal goods. There are tons, and I mean tons, of brand name items that you'd see at a regular grocery store, (think Febreze, Maybelline, Clorox, Lysol, Kleenex, Campbells, Lee Kum Kee [for all my Asians] etc etc etc) but better because everything's only a buck! During the summer they have fresh fruits like mangos, boxes of strawberries, small watermelons, blueberries, and the other day I saw packaged pico de gallo. I'm the type of person who usually refrains from buying produce or food in general at dollar stores, but I trust this one. I bought all of those items and everything was fresh. I can't even begin to explain how many things they have at this store, you can literally find anything and everything you need. My boyfriend and I were looking to have a small bbq and we went to this store and there was even a section with JUST bbq items. We were able to get charcoal, lighter fluid, and more for less than $5. The store itself is always organized and the workers are friendly. The only reason I give them 4 stars is because the lines can get really long sometimes and there seems to be a shortage of cashiers because there's always only one or two registers open even when there's a long line.
