Then the clerk tried very hard to push a "new" Macy's credit card on me. I hadn't brought my physical Macy's charge card since this visit was impromptu. It made me super-uncomfortable because I refused it but she kept pressing, even telling me that she couldn't locate my account after I (stupidly) gave her my social security number! Just trying to collect an extra commission on signing up a customer for a charge card that wasn't needed. Then, at home, I looked up the Ann Kleine jacket online. It was a much better price!
