Had a wonderful experience at this eyebrow salon! I went to a different eyebrow place and they messed up my eyebrows so bad. Let's just say Dalcy to the rescue. She did an amazing job fixing up my eyebrows and reshaping them, exactly how I asked. Also, I usually always feel the pain while getting my eyebrows threaded, but not with Dalcy. If you're at Lutheran General Hospital for any reason, this is a great place to do a little self-care. I had about a 40 minute break at work and decided to get my eyebrows threaded--was in and out in less than 10 minutes! It's also cheap especially considering the quality of work. LOVE THIS SALON! I've been going here for almost 3 years and they never disappoint me. Services are great and employees and super friendly and nice. From a price point of view, this place is very reasonable and the service is nice! Eyebrows are only $5! They are the only ones who I trust with my eyebrows:) They also take you in right away which is convenient, unless you go during the weekend, which in that case, it's always busy. I have been going to Devon for years for a good deal for eyebrow threading and waxing. When Dalcy's opened with the same lady from Devon, there was no going back to Devon. This salon is budget friendly so don't expect all the frills. These women are busy but they take their time with each customer. Waxing is by appointment only but eyebrow threading is not (they recently changed their price from $4 to $5 which is still a great deal for their service). Downside about the lack of appointment is that you could wait anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes, if not more. Overall, if you're looking for a good deal for threading and waxing, this is the place to go. I do wish this place was a little bigger- waiting area can get a little cozy. read more

Cheapest body wax I have found. First time here and it was fast and a job well done. Definitely recommend going. I didn't wait long at all and there were a few people there. Everyone including myself wore masks and they did not double dip the wax sticks and wore gloves. Creative way to use the thread for eyebrows too. I'm definitely becoming a repeat customer. read more

It's super cheap for a reasonable price but it sometimes gets busy (which is totally understandable for their really good quality for a cheap price). I love the two main workers who does my eyebrows. They're quick/plain less and know what they're doing. Although their new worker takes her time and makes it very painful, also she seems hesitant on the work. I want to give this salon 5 stars, but due to a bad experience i have to drop one star. So the salon is located in a Dempster Plaza along with a lot of other shops and restaurants. It's clean, small and seems well-managed. The salon offers threading/waxing services ($4 eyebrow threading, $3 upper lip, $20 full face, $35 Brazilian wax etc), I'm not sure if they offer facial/massage services... i'm tempted to try their facial if they offer it. The salon is super conveniently located about 3 mins from my home. With a kid, that's awesome lol. The services i've tried so far are eyebrow and upper lip threading as well as the Brazilian wax. The wax was super easy (and really reasonably priced!) There was no double-dipping, so hygiene is not an issue! Also, the woman (whose name i'm forgetting :( ) who was waxing was incredibly sweet and offered lots of tips, never felt awkward. I'd definitely recommend going for a wax. The eyebrow threading done by a certain woman seems to be the overwhelming preferance by clients who visit the salon - she was the one who did my eyebrows the first time. However, the second time i went... the salon was very busy and i wasn't able to get the woman i wanted... and essentially, my eyebrows were ruined. My eyebrows are different and good eyebrow threaders/waxers know how to shape them so they look their best in their natural shape on my face. This new lady tried to make them exactly the same and failed miserably, despite my telling her beforehand with specific instructions. That's the only reason one star has been knocked off - the owners and most of the people who work here, are amazingly kind and helpful! Made a appointment for a henna tattoo. Prior to making the appointment I showed the lady a photo of the henna tattoo that I wanted and she gave me a price then I set the appointment. She was super friendly and nice. When I arrived for my appointment shortly after I arrived the henna process begin and the lady looked at the photo that I gave her she was patient and did an excellent job I would definitely be back again. I recently moved out of Chicago and I really miss Dalcy's! It's hard to find a good eyebrow threading place and Dalcy's really fit the bill. And you cannot beat their prices - $4 for brow threading and $3 for lip waxing! The only downside is that they have a $10 minimum on cards, so I either had to plan my trip to Dalcy's in advance by getting cash out, or by purchasing a $10 gift certificate there. read more

$4 an eyebrow thread. You honestly get what you pay for. They have a minimum with using debit card. So I had to get a certificate. Even with a $6 credit. I won't go back. They seemed to rush me in and out. I'd rather go somewhere where they take their time and do it right the first time. read more

The threading increased from 4 dollars to 5 dollars, but thats fine with me because its still less expensive then everyone else and they give great service. 1st time going. Called ahead, walk ins welcome when asked about eyebrow threading. Arrived 7pm, Saturday, waited less than 5 minutes. Lady was nice, greeted me. Sat down to a comfortable chair. I've had eyebrow threading on Devon Ave, Northern and Western suburbs, this place was clean, inviting, $4 eyebrow threading was very quick and painless. In fact, the most painless eyebrow threading I've ever had. I had my brows overgrown and without shape, the lady (wish I had caught her name) styled them with a nice arch and medium thickness. I hadn't even told her what I wanted, so glad as I love the work she did. I'm glad I gave this place a try, i'll be back. read more
