Was trying to get matters of Father's estate resolved that sisters opposed, like property…read morereturned. Not only was Owen Gabrielson slow on responding to both my requests but in getting any issue solved ( in fact only thing they did was make a Will for myself). I had requested that ALL inquiries etc were to be with a paper trail, as this not only keeps lawyer honest, but in case as in this I fired attorney I would have something to show the next or to the Court. Nothing was C.C. to me. So Farr law group not only didn't do anything I requested, but allowed my sister the executrix's law firm to not answer in a timely function nor ever as I requested seek a Court hearing. Did get billed though, good at that. I would never recommend this firm except for writing straight forward wills.

Answer a few standard questions, chat about your impending death, and whammo! You've got yourself a legally binding will, power of attorney, health care advance directive, etc. Betsy also told us everything about death we wouldn't have even known to ask. Plus, she and her husband even come to *your* house for a signing party so you get the documents right away. It wasn't cheap, but check to see if your company has a legal plan (ours paid for almost everything!). But it was thorough, painless, and quick. Just like I hope that impending death of mine will be. (FYI: Betsy knows all the good ways to dispose of your body: cremation, burial at sea, composting, being turned into a tree ...)

So far since Barry retired, I have not had much luck with John the new attorney, He called to tell…read moreme all the shambles' things where in when he took over Rainier Legal and how the previous owner had staffing issues, etc., etc. etc.... then told me what a great guy he was and services he offered. We discussed a transaction regarding real estate refi that he needed some copies, I told him Rainier Legal had copies, but he couldn't find so I emailed him a copy. we then spoke again regarding a quit claim deed that the other parties needed and asked if I was ok if he did that for them as he didn't want any conflict of interest (Good Job) and he told me it would cost them about $300. they coordinated that and at closing I was informed that John @ Rainier Legal had presented a bill for a contract extension from sept 2020 (which was never performed by Rainier Legal). I thought this was odd but since the other party had been working on the refi since March of 2021, I told escrow to go ahead and not hold up escrow and pay the $400+ for services not rendered and I would discuss with John and we would get it straight, I'm thinking he is an attorney in small town Black Diamond so should be an easy fix. Well guess what three emails and a week later and he won't respond, well now that seems odd. so, I CC the other party who was sent an invoice for over double the $300 that John had told me it would cost but he listed a bunch of discounts, so I guess that makes it all better. so, after I sent that email, he calls the other party and tries to shake them down or the deal may fall through and how he had to correct the DEED (which is what i provided him a copy) which was not true I had the original and hand gave it to escrow. so now that I have seen this " attorney " in action well, Sleazy is the only term that comes to mind.
