I've decided to leave a review because I wouldn't like anyone to have the same experience I had. I was looking for a dentist for my lower left side where I have deep pain and unable to bite or chew down. So I looked through reviews and locations and found this dental office who has very good reviews. However, it turned out a lot different than I expected nor from the reviews. The result is that I still can't use my lower left side and had the same intense deep pain for about a year. Dentist Dale and his staff will single out on patients and express unpleasant attitudes. He is very defensive and is not willing to work with you unless you complement. But I still was unable to use where the work was done. He assumed that I got a nerve damaged during the treatment. And he didn't do nor wanted to with it so I was left with no choice but giving it a time to heal itself. After 6 months of getting the work done, one of the staff called me for a courtesy to follow up or for a regular check up. So I let her know that I'm still having the same level of pain so I will skip this time. But then another 6 months later I still have the same pain so I called for a prescription to refill the antibiotic. Dentist Dale told me to visit him for an examination so I went there right away. He and his staff so obviously didn't want me to be there at all and Dentist Dale wasn't knowing what to do nor wanted to do work on the pain. I was being very patient and tried not to raise an argument by saying that it's not that I doubt your work but I just want to get rid of the pain. Then dentist Dale started saying neurology, cosmetics, so on and on... and looking for a way to brush me out of there. I paid whatever they charged me for. If anyone asked me to vote for this place then it would be " there are plenty more dental offices out there". read more

I was referred to Mr.  Jeong  by my Regular Dentist . Mr. Jeong  is an Excellent Dentist . My regular Dentist uses Mr. Jeong as her own personal Dentist . Mr. Jeong did a 4 Quad Cleaning of my Teeth . I found that Mr. Jeong is Very Thorough , and Very Meticulous . He  also has a Very Good Chair Side Manner . He does his best the make your Dental Procedure as Painless as Possible . His Dental Assistant's are very Professional , Pleasant and Nice. Bettina his Office Manager is very good at Calculating Insurance  Coverage's and Deductible's. She is also in Charge of Scheduling Appointments . They also Accept Credit Cards . Outstanding dental work performed by Dr. Jeong, on an emergency issue. My mouth was killing me, couldn't stand it but didn't know who to call. My best friend highly recommended Dr. Jeong so I called his office. First impression, excellent. I got a same day appointment for my emergency problem and by the afternoon my problem was resolved. Like Eugene, my dentist (we have the same) referred my uncle here. He needs deep cleaning and during COVID did not felt comfortable going to his usual practice that is like a mill. The costs are reasonable (I know because I'm paying them) and the staff are so helpful and kind. It's in an old house, I wasn't sure we were in the right place when we arrived! I'm a union electrician and I never thought I'd find myself at the dentist from a work-related injury. At work yesterday I'm pulling on a tie wire with my pliers to support a light fixture in a small cramped space in the ceiling. I'm standing on my ladder with my head tilted and my hand slips. Wham!!! The pliers I'm holding catch me in the mouth like a boxer throwing a right hook!! I've been punched in the face before, but I've never been hit or felt that kind of pain in my life. I step down from the ladder and notice blood dripping from my mouth. I run my tongue along the roof of my mouth and realize that my tooth is cracked and hanging on my gums like a door hinge!!! It was frightening!!! Made my heart race a hundred miles an hour at 7 am in the morning!! The safety coordinator for the entire job site spent an hour trying to find a dentist open on a Saturday. He was also reluctant to take me to the hospital emergency room because he felt like the tooth would simply be extracted, leaving me in more pain and putting me out of work for a longer period of time. The sun, moon and stars must've been aligned because he eventually found a dentist in Oakland who was open on a Saturday, Dr. Jeong. Dr. Jeong turned out to be a real excellent dentist, craftsman and artist! His staff are also very professional and on the ball. He explained to me the complicated procedure of saving my tooth, which involved drilling a hole in the root canal, wedging an anchor, crafting a mold, and placing a crown to replace the cracked tooth. I tell him that what he's about to do makes sense because there are similar applications with electrical equipment inside of buildings. I can't even imagine having to do such technical work on a tooth though. I ask him if it's a normal procedure. Dr. Jeong tells me that for him it is...but only a few dentists would attempt to save the tooth because it's easier and more profitable to extract a tooth even though it causes more pain and discomfort for the patient. He understood I'd be on edge if he were to do that because I work in an environment with loud noises, drilling, and tools pounding into building structures. I tell him that I take good care of my teeth and only visit the dentist for yearly cleanings. Dr. Jeong says that he could tell and that I have great teeth...I confide in him saying I feel very afraid about the procedure...that I've had a really rough and intense morning...the kind of morning where I could use a hug!! He smiles and tells me that he's done this kind of procedure many times, and it takes a certain kind of dentist with mechanical aptitude, technical know-how and experience to make this kind of procedure happen. He reassures me and tells me that everything is gonna be alright...that I'll be alright. He jumps back and forth between rooms to work on me and other patients who couldn't be rescheduled for the day. After spending 5 hours in the dentist chair he hands me a mirror and asks me to smile. I couldn't even tell that I broke a tooth! I was full of gratitude at that moment and felt so relieved. Besides the anesthesia, the procedure was painless. A day later, I still haven't had any pain or soreness. This all may sound unreal...but it's a true story. read more

He truly makes you feel so comfortable and is very thorough with his exams. I just hated my smile and decided I was finally going to do something about it. My friend referred me to Dr. Jeong's office she said he is an absolute perfectionist and specializes in cosmetic dentistry. I called the office on a Saturday morning, because I experienced some soreness and sensitivity around the gums of one tooth and was planning to travel overseas for two and a half months the following Monday. SO, I was desperately calling up different dentist offices (my own dentist was out of town), and they all said they had no openings for me. Then, I called Dr Jeong's office, and they immediately said they could see me right away, even though I am not even an established patient with them. I was thrilled! They are only a 10 minute's drive from my home in Oakland, so I took a Lyft and was there a few minutes later. After filling out the usual paperwork, I was immediately seen by the assistant and hygienist, followed by Dr Jeong himself. I was pleased with how polite and friendly everyone was, and Dr Jeong was very thorough and explained everything he was seeing and doing to me. He also showed me how to brush and floss correctly, so that my gum recession would not get worse, and helped me understand what was going on with my gums. Lucky for me, no procedure was needed to be done, and hence, the consultation was FREE of charge- considering I have no dental insurance, I was so relieved. Oh, and also, the assistant told me that she would only take x-rays if absolutely necessary, so again, no unnecessary procedures/ costs were pushed onto me. I have been to many dentists, and I always found they wanted to do more, just for the sake of making more money off me- but not here!
