I was looking to have two headlights changed and I already had the headlight, keep in mind the package of bulbs was unopened, I called and told them had I had a jack and four way I would do it myself but wants to see what they are charging since they are close to my house. They said they would need to see the vehicle well I pulled up 5 minutes after calling. they looked at make and model w by back in and typed something in to the computer and then gave me a price of $199.00 to change two headlight bulbs?! I said why so much? they said because it's a BMW. So I called McGrath and they only charged me $30 to put in the same headlights. So basically if you drive a high end vehicle Dales is going to price gouge you like no other I would recommend shopping around before getting any services done at Dale's read more

These guys are awesome! I had gotten an oil change at Smart Hyundai 1500 miles earlier. When I checked the oil, there was none! I went to add oil but found that the oil filler cap was stripped and I couldn't remove it. I called Johnny at Dale's Service Center and he got me in that afternoon. They were able to remove and replace the cap, fill up my oil, do an inspection, and verify that I hadn't done any damage to the engine. Less than two hours and I was back on the road. They only charged me for the replacement cap! They were very communicative, fun to talk with, and I can't believe their generosity. They know I'm moving out of state soon, so they weren't counting on repeat business from me. Just good people who rescued me from what could have been a terrible situation when no one else could get me in right away. I can't recommend this place strongly enough! Tim (Owner of Dale's) and his staff are amazing. They are very prompt and are also knowledgeable about all makes of vehicles. I have been taking my vehicles to Dale's since 1995. Family owned business that cares about the community. I recently took my vehicle to Tim's team and they gave me the best deal. Not the most expensive. When you take your vehicle into to be checked, they will give you a full service report with detailed write ups and pictures with recommends for your vehicle. I have never seen this before at any automotive center. This allows me to prioritize what I would like to have done. FULL TRANSPARENCY. Hard to find these days. They also have a car loaner program. When my vehicle is being worked on, I can utilize a loaner car. This helps me manage my hectic schedule. The staff at Dale's are trustworthy and dependable. read more

The car was towed into Dales Service center and towed away from Dales Service center. I am $308 dollars poorer and have wasted 6 hours of my time in my interaction with Dales Service center. After a recommendation to go there, I am tremendously disappointed. They charged me for their time and did not provide a diagnosis. Avoid for any Mercedes Benz work more complicated than an oil change. read more

Although I do a lot of repairs on my own, sometimes I can't figure things out. So I need a good, honest mechanic. Looked online and came across this place. I made an appointment just to have things checked out, showed up on time, and was told it would cost $130-140 just to inspect AND that charge was in addition to any cost of parts and labor if they did the repairs. THAT is extremely high and a ripoff to not include that charge if repaired by them (Farm & Fleet charges $14.99 for the same thing, Ace Muffler charges $0, last I knew). I reluctantly agreed to let them check it out but not work on it because I knew I was already being taken but needed to find out what was wrong asap. After about 20 minutes or so, I was asked if I needed a ride because they would not be able to get to the car until that afternoon. I asked what happened to my appointment, when I make an appointment the expectation is that they will do what I am there for at that time. He stated that appointments mean nothing these days, they are busy and can't get to it until later in the day. Well, then why did I need to make an appointment in the first place? However, I could pay for a loaner. AHHH!!! That is what they are doing. Rip people off with that high inspection fee, don't honor the appointment time, but conveniently have a loaner car for rent because they are "too busy" for something that would take about 20 minutes. I asked for my keys back and left. Never will return there. Feel sorry for people that don't know any better. My search for an honest auto repair shop continues. read more

Friendly customer service, but I was ripped off. Was assured the transmission oil leak was fixed. $250 down the drain. They said they cut the bad ends off the leaky hoses, reclamped them, and cleaned up the oil. They took my money and then called me the next day saying the aux cooler needed replacement - another $375! All I can see that they did was spray away the oil with water. And it took them a full day and a half to do it! Even basic oil changes take all day for them to do. It took me a drive around the block and 5 min. to quickly see the cooler leaking. They should've done this instead of adding $250 to what should've been no more than $350. I found another shop that did a proper job in 2 hr. using a high-quality cooler of my choosing. Dale's couldn't even provide me a proper parts number for the junk cooler they would've installed. Unacceptable. Never going back. read more

I am not afraid to do car repairs, and have had many successes in the past. So, I tried the first few of the things you mentioned as "possibilities.". I still have the same problem with my car, and I am out the money I paid you, the time I put in, and the cost of the items I replaced. I am disgusted.
