Originally went because they have a lot of vegetarian options on their menu and many of the items are easily made vegan. Our server was vegetarian which made it even better because she was understanding and helpful (as well as very friendly). I had the Arnabeet appetizer and Za'Atar pizza for the entree. My friend had their walnut baklava and thoroughly enjoyed it. I would highly recommend to people who love Lebanese food as well as vegan/vegetarian friends. read more

I've driven past this strip mall and had no clue.. That's changed now... Thanks to my fellow Yelpers I checked this fantastic place out with my friend for lunch today. It's yes in a strip mall.. No matter.. You can take out or order in, they have lovely outdoor seating.. The menus is vast and interesting.. Get the Spicy Hummus as a starter it's just the right amount of spice and if you need more pita no problem. The staff is friendly and helpful. My friend got one of the pizzas OMG so tasty I can't remember which one.. But the garlic sauce base.. OMG!! So fresh and tasty! I got the Shish Plate.. The grilled vegetables and beef were fabulous and nicely spiced. It came with pita, rice and tzatzki on the side. It was all house made. Honestly you can't go wrong with anything on this menu.. It all looks so good.. Don't be afraid to ask questions the staff is great. Go, take friends and enjoy. I will be back! read more

Wow. Just finished my first sit-down meal here. We had gotten take out previously and been impressed but to sit down and get the food fresh from the kitchen is even better. i was pleasantly surprised at how delicious the food is at Dalia's. We stopped for takeout tonight. The reason I'm surprised is because it's 4 minutes from my house and to be able to get great Mediterranean food this close to my house was unheard of forever up until this point. The balila, falafel, and the chicken pita was out of this world. This is a new go-to for my wife and I. I can't wait to dine here. Kebab plate had @ 6-7 charred, gristly, 1" steak cubes. Tasty but SO tough it was difficult to cut & chew. I chose to have mine on salad vs veggies. Got plain, tough, greens. Like Ronan's our pistachio baklava was doughy not flaky. When owner or manager stopped to ask how it was I said meat was VERY tough. He laughed. I repeated complaint. He laughed it off. Lost in translation? There are plenty of fine Middle Eastern options in town. A few friends, also first timers, agreed they wouldn't return. read more

Incredible Greek food!! We got the shrimp appetizer and the Shish plate. I got mine as the salad and my boyfriend got his with the rice. The shrimp appetizer doesn't sound like much but the flavor is incredible! It is a must-have. The meat and onions and mushrooms on the shish plate were delicious!! Such great flavor and the meat was so tender. The dressing is a good Greek vinaigrette but I also asked for tzatziki and it was delicious. There is not too much seating, maybe enough for about ten parties. It can get a little noisy if others are being obnoxious but the seating is nice and the place is very cozy! read more

I was so glad to sees Mediterranean place open up on the east side. Went to Dalia's for lunch. So fresh so delicious. Best hummus in Rochester (sorry Sinbad's). Falafel was crispy on the outside but not all dry on inside. Flavor explosion. Chicken pita couldn't have been better. We'll be back at least once a week! Definitely in our top 10. read more

I love Mediterranean food -- and this was one of the most delicious beef and lamb gyros I've ever had! The baklava was better than my mom's homemade baklava: perfectly light, airy, and a touch of sweetness. The atmosphere was like a homey cafe. This is a cute restaurant, with a spacious outdoor seating area. It was a hot day though so we decided to stay inside. The waitress was very friendly and the atmosphere relaxed. For apps we ordered the hummus and the kebbe. The hummus wasn't anything special, I was just really craving hummus so overpaid for it. The kebbe was delicious though! It has a lot of crunch and was very flavorful! It's a little dry so dip it in the sauce it comes with. I would definitely recommend this dish. For entrees I got the beef shwarma plate, my bf got the falafel plate. The beef on my plate was ok, the flavors weren't quite there, but the beef texture was good. The rice it came with was soft and fluffy though. My bf's falafel plate was just ok. The falafels were dry (well that's probably because that's just how they are), but it also had a bitter after taste which I was not a fan of. The plate was also piled high with a bunch of uninteresting lettuce. Don't think we'll be back. read more

One of our favorite mediterranean places in Rochester. Small mom and pop shop, with great food. There is usually a wait for food when it's busy, but the food is well worth the wait! We usually get the tabouleh salad, mahi mahi, moussaka (layers of potatoe, eggplant, ground beef, with an awesome bechamel sauce), and mashawi (pita with various meats and veggies). Took a table outside and waited .... Waitress walked by twice... No menus... Waited some more...A waiter then came out carrying menus, which he brought to a table seated after us. With a heavy heart, we have to update our review for this family owned business from a whopping 5 stars to a mere 2.5 stars. Reasons given below: 1. Overall food was salty as compared to the usual taste - We ordered the hummus as our appetizer - which was salty - The frontina pizza that was ordered by substituting the charbroiled chicken with falalfel - the falafel in the pizza were salty. The rest of the pizza like the spinach, onions, tomatoes were decent enough in terms of taste - not salty, not bland, just about acceptable - the flavors working well together with the feta cheese. However, the garlic base was notably missing as if the garlic sauce was not put onto the pizza well enough to release the garlic flavor when consuming the pizza. 2. I ordered the Chicken Plate entree - the charbroiled chicken was burnt in some places - not charred but actually burnt. The rice was okay, not flavorful. The vegetables had too many of peppers - red and green. I hope that when we order rice and vegetables, we don't get an overload of peppers in the vegetables - it would be better to have a mix of onions, peppers, tomatoes, artichokes as the set of vegetables. 3. The Pistachio Baklava dessert - the issue here is with the filo dough pastry which we have tried at many places and found that it needs to be crispy, not soft and soggy. At Dalia's, the disappointment with a $4.25 baklava piece was the basics - the pasty wasn't crispy as expected to be. The Pistachio filling was good, there was a hint of syrup in the baklava which could have been a little bit more. We feel that maybe the standard of the food is dipping now, after this restaurant has been quite popular in the past. It is disappointing that this was one of our favorites when it came to dining Mediterranean food. We may try our other bankable Mediterranean option in the future. Hope Dalia's restaurant turns around things in terms of providing the previous quality of the food that we have known this restaurant for. read more

I just love Dalia's! I order for lunch since it's near my work almost every week! There has not been anything that I've ordered that wasn't amazing. My favorite is the Chicken Plate with Salad greens - yummy marinated chicken, mushrooms, tomatoes, cucumbers with Greek dressing. It's so good that I crave it! Other favorites are the Shanklish appetizer, and the Combo plate with a sampling of hummus, tabouleh, falafel, baba, and dolma. You've got to try this place if you haven't yet! read more

Stopped in for lunch on the way to Skip's Meat Market in Fairport.We sat in the dining room and had waitress service.We started with the hummus appetizer.It was huge! Garnished with some chopped green onions and a kalamata olive.A drizzle of olive oil and dig in with some pita wedges.There was enough for four people or more.Next we shared the fruit and nut salad.Absolutley grand.A bowl of seasonal fresh fruit pieces and blueberries topped with yogurt and chopped walnuts.Yum! Dalias Orders the "Shish Plate" after seeing a gorgeous photo on the menu, top of the page. THREE huge juicy beef skewers. When the server brought out the plate I thought perhaps she had mistakenly brought me an Appetizer Plate? ONE small skewer of five pieces of beef. When I politely asked her, with my menu opened; pointing to the picture... she tells me, "ohh, that picture is NOT THE TRUTH" I calmly stated that you cannot put a picture of a plate with three big juicy beautiful skewers and then only serve one tiny one. She was indignant, and refused to fix it, only offering that I could order something else. (Even after discussing with whomever was in the back- so NOT just the server!) I ordered a pita wrap, and waited 20 minutes, long after my friend was finished. Let me be clear, the taste and quality of the food they serve is phenomenal, but customer service is everything! Great local place that has good food as well as the owners (husband and wife) take the time to remember your order, name and face along with allergies and changes of items that you enjoy when you become a regular (2-3 times a month) I've not ventured far with the menu and stick to things I know without a doubt I'd like. So turkey sandwich and shrimp app is very tasty. The waitress is hit or miss as she makes you feel rushed walking away as your giving your order even when it's you in the restaurant but I think it's more of the cultural and her not understanding a lot of English.
