The gentleman who collects the cash on the other hand is a slick operator and not very kind or understanding in my opinion. I'll spare the details here as I this is my first post on Yelp ever. Connor and Noah were amazing captains! They avoided all the bad weather and put us on great spots to fish. Our daughter even got fishing coordinates named from the mammoth grouper she caught. Did a half day fishing charter - $100 pp (cash only) - boat departed at 7:15/7:30am and we got back around noon. They take you out pretty deep and you try a few different spots and everyone catches some fish (mostly just lane snapper, though a few people caught one or two others, like a mackerel--there was also plenty of grouper but too small for us to keep so we had to throw them back). That was great since the first time I went fishing in Costa Rica, we didn't catch anything. They told us that if you do the 3/4 day or full day trip, you can go out even deeper and catch a wider variety of fish, which we'll have to try next time. One guide was super helpful and attentive; the captain less so. I wish they came around more to help out beginners like us but overall still a great time. They do take quite a few people out during COVID (we had 11 people on our boat) so there's that to consider if that's an issue for you. Otherwise, they're great fun and teach you how to fish - and they clean/gut it at the end for you so you can cook at home or bring to the restaurant on the harbor where they will also cook for you (though the local restaurant - the Dock at Crayton Cove right at the end of the harbor - charges a hefty $25 to do so). read more

If I could give them a ZERO I would. We got into a horrible accident the night before our fishing charter and called them. They told us they didn't care and said they were keeping the money. I was given all information needed, even some suggestions on what our group needed to bring (water and snacks, because everything else was provided). My husband took our 2 sons and son-in-law and they had such a great time. Captain Paul was awesome! They loved him, said he was very helpful to all, was very funny, but also knew where the fish were. We just got done and I was extremely disappointed. They should have canceled the trip. Everyone stood in the parking lot and talked about how bad of an experience it was. The crew was extremely nice but I was trusting them to prioritize safety and experience over money, since this is tourist deep sea fishing. Only two fish were caught the entire trip and most people didn't even get a bite. Waves were crashing up onto the boat. At least half the people vomited, even people who had gone before. 350$ is a lot of money for us so having such a bad experience on top of wasting money was the worst. read more

I took my wife and stepson on a half day charter with Captain Paul, and we had a GREAT TIME! Paul was extremely knowledgeable and put us on the fish all afternoon! I've been on many charters, and this by far was the best I have experienced. Literally every time our lines went in, we would be reeling in fish!! I think the most impressive thing was that if the fish were not hitting within 30 seconds to 1 minute, Paul would pull anchor and bring us to another hot spot. Terrible experience. The mates and captain did there best to accommodate us but the Owner Gene ruined the experience. He overbooked the boat leaving very little room to fish. Upon our arrival back to the dock, Gene asked how was it? I replied stating that it was too crowded, he snapped and said I DIDNT OVERBOOK THE BOAT, you don't know what you're talking about! I responded "I guess I don't" he then CUSSED at me in front of all of the customers. This was incredibly unprofessional. My mother lives in Naples and I plan on opening a business here. Naples is an extremely friendly town and Gene has put a damper on a $160 experience I will never forget. I would recommend spending your money with another fleet. Happy fishing. read more

Went out twice and caught over 60 fish with 35 keepers..Captain Paul , Gene and Garite will but you on fish and are simply the nicest people you will ever meet. My 11 yr old son Jack was thought some great tricks and is also a fan for life . First mate Moe is right there by your side all day when needed and again just the best... First of all, my overall experience was good with this company as the two Captains on board were knowledgeable and extremely helpful. We ran out about a good 30 miles, which unfortunately limited our time on the fishing site in order to get back and turn around the boat for the next boat-load of customers. And therein started the problem. After we exited the boat, there were many people waiting for their fish to be cleaned along with many others waiting for the next boat trip, in all probably 35 to 40 men, women and children milling about and it was obvious the hard-working captains on the boat needed help. It was then those captains passed our fish to someone that wasn't originally on the boat and he took our fish over to another cleaning station. As we gathered by him to watch, that's when I noticed that he was somewhat gruff, upset and not in the mood to talk. Moreover, he was rushing the cleaning to the point that he was taking far too much off the fish! My friend commented to me that he was not taking care and then he asked him not to take so much off. Well, instead of engaging us about what we would like, in a professional manner, he turned and said very loudly so everyone on the large dock could hear, "DO YOU WANT TO CLEAN YOUR OWN F**KING FISH?" Then he loudly said it again! (One fellow fisherman actually asked him to watch his language) I then asked for his name in which stared at me and then stomped off, not saying anything back. I tried to find a fellow worker to enquirer about his name while my other friend bravely went directly to him to ask his name again. That's when he said very loudly, "I'M GENE, AND I OWN THIS BOAT!" Yes, that's right. It was one of the owners, Gene Luciano, who cursed us to high heaven in front of 35 or 40 paying passengers! Now as an owner of any business, to curse at customers (or at staff) is simply unforgivable and utterly unprofessional and if it had been done by an employee, it would have immediately caused an on the spot firing. Interestingly, after reading a few of the Dalis' replies to the "terrible reviews" on Tripadviser, the excuse they gave for those awful reviews was often, "You must have met our Captain "Mean" Gene" or "Mean Gene has been out in the sun too long", blaming his atrocious behavior for the bad reviews, possibly hoping that since he was the owner it could be excused. Why should such behavior ever be excused? Just because he is the owner? Cursing at your customers in front of other customers is a horrifying practice Even if the discussion was simply about how one cleans a fish, the customer is still the customer and should not be spoken to in such a demeanor and with such foul words! I must reiterate that the rest of the company was very professional and caring of the customers! I certainly feel it's time for the owner (Gene) to either clean up his act (and mouth) or pass the company along to someone else so as to not shock and insult so many paying customers and ruin for everyone such a beautiful day out. (By the way, the cursing incident was recorded by a friend and I'm in the process of obtaining said video.) read more

I can't wait to do this again. Gene and his crew were fantastic. I was super impressed with how well kept the boat was. Incredible professionalism and they clearly want to make sure that the customer has a great time. My one and only issue was that we spent about 2 hours or more going to and from... Everyone but Gene and his crew thought we could have stayed closer and had more time fishing. Either way I had a fantastic time and can't wait for my next chance to do this! read more
