Half sticky wings and half crispy wings (no sauce)
    Lamar O.

The chicken wings and sticky ribs were fresh and hot! The 10 wings and double rack sticky wings were $22.99 EACH. The prices have definitely gone up over the years- which we understand with this economy! Even with the price, the wings are still big and juicy and we still bring leftovers home! Dallas bbq is one of our go-to spot. The reason why I gave it 3 stars is because our server was slow. He disappeared quite a few time when we needed him. Mind you, the restaurant was nowhere near busy when we were there. Because he was MIA, I had to personally get up and find him so he could give us the check. He was nowhere near our eating area. For 20 minutes he was not visible.

Dallas BBQ has always been a family favorite, and I love coming here, especially for the sticky wings...they're unmatched! The flavor, the crispiness, and the fact that they serve full wings (leg and flat included) make them a must order every time. No skimping here, unlike many restaurants nowadays. No wonder they offer a 10 piece option...I could keep eating them forever! That said, this location had its challenges. Service was very slow, though I have to give credit to our waitress. She was trying her best and was running the entire floor by herself, and I appreciated her effort. We were seated in a booth with a rocky table. They came to fix it, but we later realized the issue was actually the uneven floor. Another downside was that the bathroom is located upstairs, and the only elevator was out of order, which meant a disabled person in my party couldn't access the restroom. That was really disappointing and needs to be addressed. Lastly, the drinks took forever to come out. We ended up going to the bar ourselves to buy drinks separately because the wait was just too long. The overall ambiance of the place looked like it was a night club or could be a night club based on the layout. Overall, I'll always love BBQs because of the sticky wings, but I definitely wish the service and accessibility were better at this location.

I always come to this location and I always get great service from the staff. They're very kind and attentive. The food is always to my liking. It's fresh and delicious. I love the drinks. I always get the early bird special 2 for $24.99 which is a great deal. Before 5pm. The ambiance is cool, nice and very spacious.

A lackluster experience all around. Took awhile for a hostess to come to the station for us to be seated. Took awhile for a waiter to come to our table and he just asked if we were ready to order. No drinks first. Very poor service from waiter for our table and almost every table in his sections. Food was ok but nothing great.

Food horrible, gave me bubble guts, Shortage of staff. You can just tell the cooks & staff don't care. The wings are huge!!!!!! I will never come back to this location.

I didn't expect a whole lot when eating at Dallas BBQ and that's exactly what I received. The food was okay and so was the atmosphere. I had the Petit Sirloin. I think serving it on a pita bread is a waste of a good steak since the bread absorbs all the juiciness from the steak. The Lil' Onion Loaf was good. The Mac & Cheese, not so much.

Took my daughter to BBQs for a dinner date. We both ordered the half rack of ribs. Mine came with a baked potato and my daughter got the fries. Our waitress was phenomenal and attentive. Food was decent nothing to rave about honestly due to my ribs being dry. This location is a bit ratchet too. The table across from us was playing loud music from a personal speaker. They were super drunk and loud which made it uncomfortable to enjoy our dinner. Will I be coming back ? Probably but for take out only. Not sure I'd eat in this location again though.

I stopped by Dallas BBQ and grabbed an order of their famous Sticky Wings, and they definitely lived up to the name. These wings are huge compared to most spots, and they were really good. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and the sticky sauce had a solid flavor. I'd definitely recommend the wings if you're looking for something filling and tasty. I'm already planning to come back and try more from the menu. Since I got my food to go, I can't really speak on the dine-in experience or service, but based on the food alone, it's worth checking out.

I have not been here since before the pandemic. The food is still good, love the onion loaf. Like every thing else the price has gone up. Things that were free now cost. For what they now charge ($3.50) for a piece of cornbread you cans make 3 pans of it yourself. I also had my usual Virgin piña colada which was not good at all. It had a weird taste like bad pineapples or something.

We stop in for a quick bite to eat most people come here for the wings and they are always on point. A little disappointed about the shrimp and crab cakes. Service was good timely the waitress also was very patient while we decided and created drink drinks. The place is clean. They have TVs for watching sports events. They also have an outside for summertime. Music is cool volume is medium. You can go here with your family, date night or hanging with friends very affordable and they have free parking.

I'm currently at the hospital for food poisoning after being served stale food and the manager refuses to refund me my money. I will be seeking legal action.

It is casual dining, however, I have stopped in (to the 72nd and 77th Street lications for dinner before hitting the clubs in my party gear (Slacks, Blouse, Jacket, Stilettos and full make-up). Dallas BBQ is not a Gown and Tuxedo venue.

Friends took me here for my birthday and we had reservations at another place, but they "lost" them? All of us have been here before so we decided why not, and see what happens. The place was incredibly busy, we had about a 20 minute wait but it was worth it! Our server Robert was top notch. Professional and cordial. He Immediately came over with glasses of water, garlic bread, cheese and olive tapas, a house salad, and napkins. Tried the broiled fisherman's combo: shrimp, scallops, fish fillet, mussels, stuffed clams, lobster tail, and a side, I opted for linguini with garlic aioli. Everything was cooked very well and the presentation amazing and beautiful. Now here's something you don't see every day; an actual stuffed clam where the clam is still partially attached to the shell! None of that surimi crap! Finished the meal with a double espresso, shared a tartufo and cheese cake. I don't know if the digestif was complementary, but it was a nice touch. I don't know how the kitchen keeps up with the orders. The waitstaff must put a few miles on their feet a day and a cardio workout carrying the trays overflowing with food. Amazing! Everything in the restaurant is kept neat, clean, and organized. The music is not overwhelming. You can hear each other at the table. When the weather is a little nicer, they have beautiful outdoor seating with views of Long Island sound. It is very romantic, when the sun is setting, you can imagine yourself being somewhere exotic and far away. As the song goes; "Sometimes you don't know what you got till it's gone."

I go all out when I come here becuase it's fast seafood at it's best, steamed, raw or fried. You order at the counter for things you want, so plan your order with friends so you can get what you want all at once. Send one to get the fried's, one to get the steamed, raw, etc. It looks like any seasonal shack on the eastern seaboard, but just a tad busier and a tad nicer. Service is good becuase it's far enough away from the NYC grind that people aint tryna bring that vibe. They're trying to have a different experience. It's got great views. Cash only of course. Seating is cafeteria style. I usually have to go for a walk afterwards to help digest everything. Prices are high if you indulge or come with your whole family, but it's kinda in line if your tryna splurge and go big. My usual order is steamed snow crab legs, fried calamari, fried clam strips, steamed cherry's and little necks (or raw if it's daytime or late summer) and a steamed whole snapper if I'm with more than 1 person. It's a feast, but worth a gout attack. It's fresh seafood that's well prepared and simple. You can't go wrong on the cocktail sauces, butter, lemon on most items.

Beyond the food, Archie's also has one of the best Scotch and whiskey (bourbon and rye included) selections anywhere in the area. It feels curated by people who genuinely care about food and drink, not just running another restaurant. We eat there often, especially for brunch, which is spectacular and consistently better than it has any right to be for a neighborhood spot on City Island. The best example of the attention to detail was the chopped cheese sandwich special. When it arrived, my first thought was: "How is anyone supposed to eat this giant thing?" But then you take a bite and realize the bread was custom made specifically for the sandwich. Somehow it completely melts in your mouth along with the meat and cheese, making this enormous sandwich unexpectedly delicate and perfectly balanced.
