While I'm sure the tow truck drivers are amazing the front desk lady is horribly unprofessional and rude. She waited 45 minutes to dispatch my order and put the wrong address in which sent the tow truck driver to the wrong part of town. Such a shame she isn't more organized and detail oriented. Valuable time wasted for the tow truck drivers to efficiently run routes and make money. If you are the owner and operated of dallas discount you should be aware of this as it isn't good for operation. read more

Great towing service. They specialize in picking up Tesla's. Unfortunately I had 2 blown tires. They arrived within 60 minutes of me calling and dropped the car off at my preferred Discount Tire. SCAMMERS!! DO NOT use this company! They towed my car for me and left it in a bank parking lot AKA a "tow zone". I asked them to park it in a specific area and they chose to park it in a no parking zone. Literally the ONLY area of the parking lot with a "no parking" sign. SHADY!! My car was then towed by another tow company. Total cost $365 to retrieve my vehicle. The owner, Scott is a coward and won't return my calls. Any towing company that would knowingly leave your car in a tow zone is a total SCAM, inside job, sister company, etc. I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau and TDLR. read more

What can I say? I had the luxury of calling around to find a place and Dallas Discount Towing [(214) 941-1221] gave me the best, cheapest, most straight forward quote. I called when I was ready, and they showed up 20 minutes faster than they said they would. The truck looked like a brand new roll back, the guy was nice, helpful, and extremely professional, and he was very safe with my car. He followed me home to drop it off, and I'll bet he never went over 45mph even on the highway. Price was exactly as quoted to the penny. No extra fees, no extra mileage, no extra taxes, etc. To the penny. I'd like to call out the driver specifically. I believe his name was "Othel Brown." I don't know if you can request a specific driver, but if you get the chance, not only would I recommend Dallas Discount Towing to anyone, I'd also recommend that you at least ask for Mr. Brown. I am so late posting this review. However, I was stuck last year on 75 and the dispatch lady sent a tow truck out (Less then 20mins). (Keep in mind another tow truck was called out but they came with a tow truck not a flat bed after I explained to them my car spare was stuck in the trunk). Nevertheless they sent this man out. OMG he was the best and hilarious. He had me laughing after being stress out behind the other trucking company. Anyways he took me to tire place etc and I was good to go. Towing distance was 2.8 miles EXACTLY. 7 miles from company site, and was $135 cash but I was desperate and exhausted and dispatch said 45min to an hour and that sounded good. 3 hours later, numerous phone calls, we finally get the guy to show up. Honestly if you quote at 45 min to an hour and it's not till 3 hours there should be a discount, especially if I have to call to figure out what's going on. Super disappointed. read more

Customer service goes a long way...in this case lack of. I called needing a tow and was told that they could be at my pickup location within 30 minutes. I asked if this was the case I would not use my Insurance tow truck because i needed to be at discount tire by 5...they assured me that they would be at my location on 30 minutes. 45 minutes later I call to see what their ETA time is only to have the receptionist tell me that the original time frame was given by the owner and he was called out for a private tow and that she would contact another driver and they would be here in 45 minutes . Absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional. When I asked the receptionist why I wasn't notified of this with the contact information I was told " yeah, I'm sorry we should have , so you still want the tow in 45 min? " what a joke of a place . They did not give me a quote prior to having my vehicle towed 5.5 miles. I was only told that I would be receiving their "special" rate. When I received their bill I was told they charged me their "minimum" rate of $95.00! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They have reckless and aggressive drivers. My boyfriend was in the rightmost lane when one of their drivers entering the freeway he attempted to run him/other cars near us off of the road/into the middle lane by passing him. This aggressive driving from such a large truck obviously didn't lead to him successfully merging and he continued this behavior in the shoulder causing hazardous road conditions for multiple people during a high traffic time. We passed the driver as he was pulling up to his accident and he began cussing me out as he realized I was taking photos so I could report his behavior. When I called to make the complaint they seemed unshocked and hardly concerned with this kind of behavior making it seem common. After this experience I'm left wondering WHEN this driver (or another) causes a pile up on the highway, will the towing at least be complimentary? read more
