This place is absolutely ridiculous. My vehicle was towed here, and after I paid the full amount to get it released, I returned only to find it blocked in by other cars. Things happen, so it was cool until.... When I went back to the office to ask for help, the attendant told me there was no one available to move the vehicles. Mind you, the Cowboys game was about to start, so I understood they might be short-staffed -- but it still didn't make sense. I politely asked if someone could give me a call once the cars were moved so I could come pick mine up. The response? "Unfortunately, we can't do that." So let me get this straight -- you can't make a simple phone call to let a paying customer know their vehicle, which is already released, is no longer blocked in? My only options were to sit there and wait indefinitely or leave and come back, hoping the issue would somehow be resolved. That's completely unacceptable. Not only did I waste over an hour waiting, but I also inconvenienced the person who gave me a ride. It feels like they treat people poorly just because they know we're stuck -- since this place also serves as the city pound, they seem to think they can get away with it. We're hardworking people already in a bad situation when our cars get towed. The least they could do is make it easier to retrieve a vehicle after payment. Deserves a no star. Worst towing company I've ever dealt with. Dragged my car off the bed and snapped my front clip off breaking all my connection points and bumper. Took pictures and video and the owner Billy didn't even show remorse. Told me damaging my car was the only way to get it off. David was a life safer! My car stopped during rush hour around the corner from my house. Luckily Officer Peña with the Cedar Hill Police Department seen me stranded and stopped to offer assistance. Officer Peña called the tow truck for me and David was there within minutes. He asked what was wrong which I told him. He offered to take me home or to the dealership- which I honestly had not thought of doing until he asked. I contacted the service advisor while David was loading my car. He made sure I retrieved all of my things from my car and that I only left my keyfob. I sat in the truck while he secured my vehicle. He was very professional and friendly. We talked the short distance to the dealership and he even made sure that I had a ride home from the dealership. Thank you for making my evening go a lot smoother despite my car being down. It meant a lot to me and my husband! He even shared some helpful tips with me in the event my car breaks down on the road again. David is most definitely a valued asset to your team! read more

Hi Sheila, Thank you for your response. My review was not regarding the theft of my vehicle, but concerning my unsatisfactory experience with your company. You can take a second glance at my initial review, as I clearly outlined my issues. Also, I wanted to make you aware that I contacted 24 Hour Wrecker Service on yesterday and had a lengthy conversation with Billy. He advised that the research and notification fee was assessed on Friday morning after calling in to verify the fees. But he was unable to advise if the alleged notification letter was mailed out by the time I picked up my vehicle on Friday evening. Today is Tuesday, and I haven't received the certified notification letter yet, even though I reside in the same city as your company 24 Hour Wrecker Service. Also, I did find more information regarding the laws regarding impounded vehicles. This law does provide leeway regarding the research and notification fee. It states, "If a vehicle is removed by the vehicle owner before notification is sent or within 24 hours from the time VSF receives the vehicle, the VSF operator may not charge a notification fee to the vehicle owner." https://www.license.state.tx.us/towing/vsfrules.htm#t85719 Billy advised that the 24 Hour Wrecker Service attendant documented YOUR records to show that my card was swiped twice in error. He even stated that a refund request was submitted. Mistakes do happen, so I get it. As stated in my previous review, I believe your employee maliciously swiped my card twice. Your website boasts that you are customer and client focused and you strive to provide a hassle free experience. Based on my experience, I don't find either of these statements to be true. I was arriving back home from Houston and my car hit something and was losing oil and oil pressure so I had to shut the engine down. I called 24 hour and they were there quickly, but as it turned out, my car needed a different kind of tow truck and couldn't be towed on a flatbed. But the wrecker driver looked under my car and diagnosed a busted oil filter. So I left the car there for the night and returned with a new filter and installed it and was on my way. The tow driver was so helpful, and he wouldn't even accept my money to buy him dinner. He was truly an angel that night, and cared about our well being. 24 hour is my new wrecker company. read more

The lady at the front must hate her life she treats her customers like little kids, she might be racist. My boyfriend got his truck towed and brought here to 24-hr. When we arrived we had a friend get off with us to try and figure out what we were going to need, just because he was walking back and forth the lady said "he needs to stay in the car or else youre not getting your truck". Around 5:00 AM one morning, in the rain, I ran over something huge in on I35E south of I-20 near Desoto and blew both right side tires. I was able to nurse the car off the highway and to a safe location. Once there I saw the blown tires and new I needed a tow. I found Twenty-Four Hour and figured I call. I got stuck on a Sunday afternoon on the I-45 overpass near downtown Dallas. My insurance company dispatched 2 tow truck companies to assist and after 3.5 hours of waiting both said they couldn't tow my car. My girlfriend and I were stranded 30 minutes out from Dallas going 45 North, and we were looking for a tow truck since we were already using our spare tire and a second tire went flat. We called this place since another towing company refused to give us service. Long story short, they gave us a pretty far price of $100, plus $3 a mile of towing, and the truck came in 30 min. We decided to have our car towed to a nearby 24 hour tire shop, and the guy, along with being friendly, that towed us was nice enough to not charge us any mileage since the shop was so close. I will say in this review that a different company, Prasifka, were particular rude and impatient with us, but I will save that for their review. It should be noted that they will only tow to places that are open, for the safety of the vehicle. If you need their towing services in the middle of the night, expect to look for a 24 hour place. read more

My car's suspension malfunctioned Saturday evening and became totally undrivable around 7:00 while I was at the corner of Beltline Road and S. Dallas Ave. in Lancaster. An officer with the Lancaster Police Department had stopped to make sure I was ok. After I explained the situation to him and informed him that I was trying to contact AAA to have the car towed home, he suggested 24 Hour Wrecker Service, which was located not far from my location.
