I don't have enough kind things to say about Dalsimer Spitz & Peck and Bobby specifically. I had a very specific vision for flowers for my wedding and Bobby ALWAYS took the time to listen to exactly what it was that I wanted, but also respectfully pushed back and gave his professional opinion where and when it mattered most. He always made sure to work with our budget and apply it to places within the wedding that would matter most. As a Covid bride it was extremely important to have a vendor who was able to work with us in an ever changing environment and Bobby was there every step of the way to ensure that we felt taken care of especially when times were uncertain. Bobby and his entire team (Raquel and Michael were amazing as well) have become a part of our family and are one of the vendors we will miss working with most. My wedding venue is a historical location, and as a result, they only allowed three florists for us to choose from. You can check out my 5 star review of my venue if you're inclined. The only negative I can say about them is that they recommended Dalsimer, Spitz, & Peck for flowers. My husband was working, so I met with the owner, Bobby, after work. Bobby is a smooth talker and a classic salesman, which is fine. You encounter a lot of these personalities in the wedding industry. However, I felt like he was totally trying to take me for a ride. He suggested things like flower arrangements in the bathroom (completely unnecessary), and wanted to charge me for things that other florists included, like flowers pedals for the cake table. I told him that I wanted blush in my bouquet, and he interjected with, "Oh, no. Only white and ivory for the bridal bouquet. Men love it when their bride walks down the aisle in all white looking pure." ...excuse me? First of all, Bobby, if I'm walking down the aisle and my groom even notices my bouquet, we have a problem. Secondly, my husband would have been happy with whatever I was happy with in terms of flowers. Finally, what a sexist, antiquated perception. When you're working with customers, you should be trying to bring *their* vision to life, not pushing your own out of touch ideals and aesthetic on them. I was married at Pleasantdale Chateau and had Dalsimer Spitz & Peck for my florist and couldn't have been happier. John did an AMAZING job and it was everything I hoped for and more. Every arrangement looked beautiful whether it was the table centerpieces, the arch for our ceremony, the place card table, or the staircase. And not only did they capture the attention of everyone they lasted a whole week after the wedding in my livingroom! I truly enjoyed my experience with Dalsimer Spitz and Peck. After our first meeting John remembered my favorite flowers and those I hated and really tried to get flowers similar to my favorites peonies which were not in season at the time. I must report that the job done did not meet expectations. Some elements were perfect while others were not what we discussed or entirely missing, breaching the negotiated contract. The only thing I was really happy with were the centerpieces. For the church, I had asked for the pew to have tulle. There was no tulle. Instead there were plastic bows. The wrap from my bouquet unraveled 15 minutes in to my church service, so much so that the priest had to help me put it back together. The maid of honor and flower girl bouquets also had the wrap unravel by the end of the church service. At the hall, the escort table was mediocre. It was a small vase. There were no loose greens or flowers on the passing trays and culinary displays for our cocktail space. There was no flowers in the ladies' powder room. The cake decor was awful. There were 5-8 flowers stuck randomly on 1-2 tiers of our 5 tier cake. It looked like a child had done it. It looked so bad that we pulled them off and our maitre d' redid it himself. Additionally the feedback I received from the maitre d' was again that your staff seemed confused and unclear of what needed to be done. After conveying my dissatisfaction I was told someone would look in to it and get back to me. After reaching out via one phone call and 2 emails, I still have no response. read more

Can't say enough about Bobby and his crew at Dalsimer. From beginning to end he was such a pleasure to work with. He listened and understood our vision for my daughters wedding. When it was all done and we walked in from the sanctuary and chuppah to the cocktail hour to the amazing ballroom job he did we could not have been happier. When we had met with them for the first time, I had a few pictures of what I was envisioning...The team went above and beyond all of our dreams and expectations for our wedding at The Royalton Mansion on 11/2/19. They did not deliver on anything that was promised! My flowers looked like they were dying! Some of my bouquet was already wilting. My flowers I asked for down the aisle were not what we had discussed. I was underwhelmed and the drama I expected just wasn't there. I was promised a carpeted runner and they rolled out paper in front of my guests wearing sweatpants. The men who work for Dalsimer are pigs! My husband and I were interrupted during photos to ask us for a gratuity. Who asks for a tip? Our photographers, dj, and MC all heard him ask for money. It was disgusting. Every time we spoke/met they would forget our discussed price. I would never recommend Dalsimer, I would go out of my way to tell people not to use Dalsimer. I had my wedding this past weekend, 8/11/18 and hired John from Dalsimer Spitz & Peck (Livingston, NJ location) as our florist. I could not have been more amazed by his work!! John was a pleasure to work with, extremely kind, and offered us the best bang for our buck when it came to negotiating pricing.
