I'm starting to look around at various options for a small bathroom that I want to redo. I read the Yelp reviews and I can certainly relate to those that said they were never acknowledged, greeted or even looked at. Sadly, I had the same experience. I looked at various displays and tiles but left after about 10 minutes since everyone was too busy to even say they could help me in a few minutes or whatever. DO NOT shop at any store of Daltile. "I purchased 4 boxes of tile but needed to return 3. When I went to return them, I was told the minimum return quantity was 5 boxes--more than I even purchased! This policy makes no sense, and I was not informed of it at the time of purchase. Poor customer service and unfair return policy. Would not recommend!" read more

Store shows they close at 4:30. Attempt 1: show up at 4:13 for a return they're closed. Attempt 2: okay, let me call them to make sure they close at 4:30 and not 4:00 to make sure they're going to be open. "Yes sir come on in we'll be here till 4:30" show up at 4:20 the store is closed again This is AFTER a 1:15 minute drive both times. Because for some reason you can only return at the same store you purchased at, but they'll make you go pick them up an hour away no problem. ATTEMPT 3: call store "ma'am I what time do you close the store. I have gone TWO times driving over an hour and you guys keep closing early." Lady: 4:30 Me: okay I'm going to get there around 4:15 I just wanted to make sure because you guys keep closing the store early and it's a long drive. Lady: it's our store managers decision if we close early or not. Me: let me talk to the store manager I want to make sure the store will be open. Lady: he actually left already Me: okay so it's staying open until 4:30 for sure? Lady: I dont know Me: let me talk to whoever is deciding ti close the store. Again, I just want to make sure I don't drive over an hour for no reason. Lady: that would be me Me: okay so are you closing the store when it says you're closing the store or before? Lady: it just depends maybe come another day. Seriously? Why waste my time on the phone instead of just saying you're too lazy to keep the store open during your operating hours. Smh. read more

The visit felt quite awkward, with barely any acknowledgment. It seems they might not be motivated to sell to the general public, perhaps focusing more on designers and contractors. Who knows, but I had a whole house project and was hoping to get some help. Bummer. read more

Bought sample box and contractor sales desk said returns allowed if full box. I bought additional boxes for the job, including surplus due to natural stone tendency towards breakage. I later called to return unneeded extra box, and was then told they don't return natural stone. Next excuse: I was told sales lady didn't say returnable (I'm lying????), which I countered. Then, next said they only return minimum 5 boxes at a time. So, bottom line, I bear the fallout from their poor communication to me, and their lack of flexibility, and learned they wouldn't be burdened for my care. read more

I walked in. A gentleman was talking about scripture to the twp ladies at the front desk. Neither lady greeted me. I walk around the very small showroom listening to the man talk religion. After about 3 minutes I begin to head out. I stop by the desk. I asked if I could ask one of the ladies a question. The lady shook her head no and pointed to someone behind me. I turn around and a woman is running towards me out of the back. I asked if the Dal-tile Showroom off 35 was bigger. She said a little bit. I thanked her and left. Why have a lady at the front desk if she can't answer questions??? It was just a very weird experience. read more

We've had a great experience working with Daltile in Plano. We are redoing a bathroom shower and Kathleen had some great suggestions for our needs. She not only made some great suggestions for the base tile selection but also the accent tile. She's got a good eye and a tasteful design flair. She also made it a point of getting us samples (even a hard to find one) and checked on availability dates for several of our possible final choices. Great service and a delightful attitude. We'd also like to thank Telma at the Dallas Daltile store who also helped us in the process. She too was very helpful and savvy with her thoughts and suggestions. read more

Slow, rude, and not helpful with advice. Ordered subway tiles and asked what grout should be used. Recommended sanded with sealer. After the fact, found out that I should have used unsanded. Laticrete grout was crappy! Color wasn't consistent and have been told by tilers that it is typical with Laticrete products. They could care less whether you do business with them, as they are blah, slow in waiting on you and the men at the delivery in back are slow. Talked to one guy on the phone that was rude. I would never do business with them again. HORRIBLE!!!!!!! read more

Twice I've been in the store and a woman working there is dressed as if going out to a club...cleavage showing and more bare skin than covered. This is a business where dressing professional should be the standard...not a place to try and look what she thinks is sexy. The fact that it happened on two separate occasions, tells me it's acceptable to the staff (although no one else was dressed that way). Working in a front sales area, let alone a back area, dressed this way is completely unprofessional. I wouldn't want to send my wife in to pick things up knowing this is the image Daltile is presenting. read more
