He initially quoted me for my favorite wood type but I later decided to add tile for my bathrooms and fireplace later. I got another quote with a contractor that didn't include material and it was higher. It was nice going to their showroom to pick out my floors. I extended a request for flooring. The gentleman,Mr.Ibrahem told me he had the flooring in stock and could deliver the next morning where I had my workers lined up to do the job. Payment terms were then discussed, I said send the invoice to this email and once you have picked up the load & delivered we will make payment. He sent over the invoice that night. At 6:28a.m. the morning of,he communicated his company truck is down and no delivery for the day. He then changed the terms of our agreement that someone would need to come into the office to make payment. If I've seen a scammer it's very similar to this. Be wary guys! read more

If you are thinking of DIYing LVP, read this first. I found The Flooring Market through a search through Yelp. I was surprised by the sheer number of perfect reviews for a contractor and decided to contact the store even though I was thinking of doing this project myself just to see how much more it would cost. YouTube makes it look like a cake walk to install LVP but now, after the fact, I am really glad I went with a professional and with The Flooring Market. I had the pleasure of working with Moe to help us get our new floors for the first floor of my house. I had an idea what LVP I wanted for flooring, had received a number of samples from different vendors, and decided to get some quotes vs doing it myself as I had over 1,500 sq. ft. to get done including tile demolition in parts of the house. Moe came out to take a look, measure, and brought samples with him that were similar to the color I was looking for that were close but not a match. I went to their store and they had a great selection to choose from including options I wasn't aware of like LVP with beveled edges. No pushiness or hard selling at all; just good honest advice on all products I was looking at. I went with the Shaw Pantheon HD+ which has a 20 mil wear layer, beveled edges, and a look and feel that would be hard to tell from real wood (but with all the benefits of LVP). Moe was patient in answering any questions I had, provided a couple of detailed quotes based on my changing requirements, was flexible with scheduling and scheduling changes due to painters running behind, and he was always available by text to answer questions or when I needed to coordinate scheduling. I got a couple of other competing quotes too and The Flooring Market was by far the best price and the easiest company to work with too. I was concerned about dust from tile demo as I've heard horror stories from my friends about how much dust there is an how it will still be around weeks later. I did take some preventative measures like putting up dust barriers, wrapping furniture, and taping up exposed cabinets which helped with clean-up. If you are thinking of doing something similar, look at ZipWall for an easy solution. I was pleasantly surprised by how little dust there was. The crew takes measures to reduce dust with vacuums on grinders, vacuums while cutting tile, wetting down thinset, etc. Rupe was the crew chief and was great to work with as well. During the prep and install, he'd consult with me on what I wanted in certain areas, got the quarter round to us day 1 so I could paint it before install, and managed the crew to get the job done ahead of schedule! Originally, I was just going to lay down the LVP over the concrete if I did it myself but I am glad I hired professionals as they ground and scraped the concrete down so that it can be primed, prime the concrete, then they install concrete float to level the floors, put down a moisture barrier, and then do the install. The prep is a TON of work and more than I could have imagined . . . and I really think it is necessary for a long-lasting quality install. Considering the pricing of both the product and labor, The Flooring Market provides a great value for the service and product they supply. Normally, if you want things or services good, cheap, and fast, you can only pick 2 out of those 3. But with The Flooring Market, you get it all! read more

We were looking to replace our carpeted stairs and upstairs hall with engineered hardwood that matched the existing downstairs - an extremely hard task given the age of the flooring and no knowledge of the manufacturer or where the previous homeowners had purchased it. Afterwards, the company called us to see if we were satisfied with their work. There were a few cuts on the planks so we told the person about it and he sent their manger to check out the problem. My wood look porcelain tile floors are beautiful. There were a lot of hiccups on this project, but over all I feel the company tried to make things right for us. I deducted a star because we were very disappointed to find the baseboards they installed for us were not wood and we weren't given the option or heads up about the material of the style we chose from a picture we were shown. These baseboards did not paint easily at all and one of them is already messed up because a knick knack fell on it and chipped it. An easy repair with wood, but not so much with whatever this material is. read more
