Went to Dalton Farms last Saturday which turned out to be the last weekend that the farm was open for tulip pick your own. About a 50 minute drive from Philly and easy parking in a big field with folks directing you where to go. Definitely dusty so dress accordingly (and be prepared to take a shower after you get home). We arrived about 1pm and there was a steady stream of folks coming and going. Check-in process was very straightforward (showed QR code from previously purchased ticket). Highly recommend getting your tickets ahead of time online for a timed (but not strict at all) ticket. We were not interested in the boats, the tractor (dusty!) rides, we were just focused on the tulips. $1 per tulip if you pick more than 10 $2 per tulip if you pick less than 10 There were 4-5 different large sections that had row up on row of different varieties and colors of tulips. Stations with plastic containers to assist you with holding the tulips you've picked, then tables with rolls of brown paper to wrap your tulips and rubber band the bouquets. Checkout was super fast and easy and friendly, there are food trucks in a couple different spots (we got fruit smoothies which were excellent). All in all I had a really great time and look forward to returning for the sunflowers and zinnias! read more

This is my opinion. It's been vetted and weekend day trippers agree it's supported by common sense. To be charitable, I know it's a business model. 99 acres and a good number had tulips planted eons ago. Now they hire a few high schoolers a little wage to check people in, a few independent contractors run ramshackle concession trucks (it being Easter weekend, they didn't sell beer. Thank Goodness because on top of everything else below, I didn't want to see inebriated funsters face down in the tulips, which was the original title of the Tiny Tim Tulip tune, I'm sure) So they have little to now over head and droves of families who'd go to anything to get out of the house and let the enervated kinder scamper around fill up the grass fields parking lot) What shocked me was the dismal display of mediocre tulips and the overall unpleasant experience. And spoiler: this ain't Holland. 1) 4 hour round trip not worth War Gas. 2) It's only for kids and families really. Check out the durrrr Tulip Down, besotted stumbling sickly chickens and questionable slide) 3) Dirty. 4) Dirt all over - nothing paved. Why they don't have people sign releases is beyond me. It's a trip and fall inclined tip toe paradise. 5) Paddle boats not in use. Spring and no boats. Really? 6) (cover your eyes parents - spoiler) Infested with kids. 7) Awful music. Like party music at a sleepaway camp in a slasher movie. 8) If pointlessly walking around in soft soil with a focus on not wrenching your ankle is your thing, cummere and fork over $20 and enjoy. 9) Punishing, unrelenting sun. All the outdoor fun of being on a chaingang without the chains and something to do like knocking rocks. 10) Ratty tulip flowers were unimpressive - I'm sure I'd be more impressed if I lived life at ankle level and strapped on a Transmission Electron Microscope. 11) Dig a sense of sprawling nothingness? Welcome. Nothing as far as the eye can see except sickly tulips and dirt. 12) The bad arty touches are for children and those that live at knee level. Tulip Town is more like Bridgetroll Village. 23) I came here for peace and ended up trudging around the fields like a farmer wondering where I dropped that damn-gum pouch of chew! Myrtle! Is that a boll weevel?!? Total disappointment. My opinion. If you go here and find none of this true, I'll buy you glasses. read more

Enjoyed our time thoroughly here at the U-pick farm. Plenty of parking spots when we arrive and entrance was pretty cheap per person. Very seasonal with all the decor and the many tall ready to pick sunflowers. Lots to do and see here at the farm for the whole family. In the back there's a lake which they had food trucks around a lake with a live band. You could take a paddle boat out in the lake and listen to the band on the lake with your person of choice Absolutely Lovely Time Here Happy Fall Y'all read more

Dalton Farms is a must visit!! I visited here last Sunday (April 6) with my parents for a little Sunday funday. It wasn't sunny but at least it wasn't rainy! We ordered tickets online ahead of time, and I believe there's a discount if you do that. Checking in was seamless. Tulips were either $2 per stem or $10 for 10. We got 10 stems which was a no brainer. All were so beautiful, it was hard to choose. We thought we'd only spend an hour here at most but then realized that this farm is gigantic & a bunch of little Easter eggs everywhere! There were photo props in random areas, there's a slide that looked intimidating at first but my parents really enjoyed it! There's a tulip field in the back near the lake (also paddle boats if you wanted to do that). The food trucks are all near the lake as well. Then, we took the hayride at the end after our feet were tired & saw chickens & a peacock at the end of it all. After it got cold, we ended our day with coffee from the coffee truck. All in all, an incredible visit & I'll definitely be back for sunflower season! read more

In this day and time of people working hard to give people entertainment and beauty - your comments are not even close to what this farm actually is so glad you got your one "like" to boost your ego. Yes it's a farm so actual farms aren't cemented. Is it Longwood Garden ? No- If that's the experience you want then go there and pay their prices to fulfill your perfect warped tulip dreams. This family works extremely hard every year to help people to relax and enjoy a local farm with their families and friends. You obviously don't know what it's like to grow anything either- you don't sound like a nurturing kind of person coming from a gardener or a parent since you avoid children and criticize plants that have done their best to grow in a more than difficult growing season with a temperature roller coaster season! We love this farm and have watched it literally blossom into a local gem! We like that it's simple, inexpensive, children friendly and that they teaches the younger generation how to work hard, be responsible and keep out of trouble by getting up on weekends and working hard. Guessing if you had time to write that review that it's the way you have chosen to spend your free time instead of doing what these teenagers do which is their best to make people smile. This farm is exceptionally run, has good vendor food( again supporting local businesses and supporting local musicians ) . I have always enjoyed my visits to this farm and I wish them lots of luck. This was my first visit to a Tulip Farm & it was so nice to be outside enjoying the scenery. This family owned farm has been around since 1790 & they also grow daffodils & sunflowers so I'll definitely come back to pick another bouquet soon! Sure, you can get a better deal by buying flowers from a chain store, but you come here for the experience to pick your own. Tickets to the farm are $14 in advance or $20 upon arrival & tulip picking is 10 for $10 or $2 each. They provide buckets & water for you to carry your picked flowers as well as paper to wrap them in when you're finished. Near the lake, there are various food & drink vendors as well as live music & corn hole. I got to try the pork tacos from Yo No Se Tacos & they were fresh & tasty! I washed them down with a glass of Prosecco that was a bit on the sweeter side, but they also have cocktails & beer for sale here. read more

My second time coming to Dalton Farms and my first time for the tulips. As always, the farm is very organized and offers cheaper tickets online as opposed to buying when you arrive. We showed our code to the person at the entrance and grabbed a bucket to start picking tulips. I was annoyed that I forgot to bring my shears but the tulips were relatively easy to snap. There was a great variety of colors and you could also pick some cute daffodils as well. I really love that they have love music and food trucks down by the lake. Not worth your time Or money at all. They charge you just to be in a overcrowded field filled with dust and very few flowers.

We visited in springtime 2024. It was so fun!! We went from tulip patch to tulip patch picking out the most beautiful blooms. It's huge! And tons of cool photo ops. We took a break to sip a cocktail and have a snack from the various vendors. Parking was easy and plentiful. It's very close to Philly and PA burbs right over the bridge. Responding to the guy who has absolutely nothing positive to say. It's a farm. Expect dirt. Flowers grow in dirt. Insane for anyone to complain about DIRT when visiting a FARM. Absolutely beautiful place to go, whether you're alone, on a date, or taking your family out for the day. HUGE property with so much to explore. I just adore this place! I came for the first time last year with my mom and knew we had to bring my mommom, sister, and niece back with us this year. We had the best time getting drinks, picking tulips, and even shooting paintball guns together. What really stands out about Dalton Farms is their incredible staff. My mommom needs a wheelchair for going long distances and we did not have an off-road friendly wheel chair. The staff were so kind and accommodating and gave her rides on the golf cart from the car into the fields and vice versa. Just went this weekend to check out the sunflower festival. The farm is huge and beautiful. They had some fun food trucks, live music and pretty lake where you can rent kayaks, etc. There were also some fun activities for kids like a slide, playground, bicycle path etc. My main issue is charging to get in. Its a farm! Johnsons in Medford doesn't charge admission. I thought oh I have to pay 20$ to get in, that must include the flower picking. Nope. You still gotta pay for flowers and the food trucks are expensive. It is a fun experience but charging just to walk through the entrance is ridiculous. I've never had to pay to access a playground at a park so why here ? Literally nothing is covered so it's like a tourist trap bc you end up paying another $50 once inside for food and flowers. read more

It was packed with cars. The crowds kept getting larger. I would suggest calling the farm to see when their peak season begins for tulips. And get your tickets online prior. read more

I was here for the tulips back in the spring. I expected rolling hills of tulips that you walked by to look at and take pictures of. That's always what the photos looked like that friends posted. It's actually a couple different parts of the farm that have large areas of tulips growing in rows. People can walk the rows and pick the tulips they want, which you pay for when you are leaving. We went the last weekend of tulip season. If I went again, I'd go in the beginning of the season. read more

Honestly, I think I would rather just get tulips at trader joes. This was a fun activity but I don't think it warrants the price. Entry is $14pp online but if you don't plan ahead it's $20 at the gate. Then tulips were $10 for 10 tulips or $2 per tulip. It's just a little expensive and I didn't feel like it was worth it. It was crowded and maybe I just didn't explore enough. Everyone was friendly and I also bought this delicious peach cider from one of the vendors. This is my second year going to Dalton to pick tulips. It was the perfect day! You have to buy tickets a head of time for a specific time window. Tickets are also rain or shine, it would have been a mess if it had rained. I would buy tickets the day before when you know the weather! We went on a weekday last year. A lot less people during the week but it's a huge area and 3-4 fields so pleanty of space to walk and pick your favorites. It's $12 an adult to get in. I highly suggest bringing. Bucket with a handle. I am holding my bucket in one of the photos. We had 40 tulips in it and they all stayed beautiful while we went out to dinner. The bucket allows you to keep the petals in place while picking and during transport, i prefer buying a lot of closed tulips so ii get to see them open. Trimmed the bottom off of each and made up the gifts in my photos. They do have nice brown paper wrapping stations that you can make beautiful bouquets up at no extra charge. Tulips are $10 for 10, or $2 each. I'll be spreading some holiday cheer tomorrow by dropping off vases with three tulips in each. I got the vases at dollar tree. I've added some of the vases I filled to my photos. Can't wait to door drop them tomorrow for Easter and Passover. I love giving surprise gifts! On the weekend they had a fantastic produce stand with great prices. Sadly nothing organic but I got a bag full of fruits and veggies for $5 including cucumbers, tomato's, onions, and sweet potatoes. Cash and credit cards are accepted. When you check out and pay for your tulips they also had honey from bees on the farm for $10 a jar. I hood it helps with allergies! So on the weekend there is live music, food trucks, wine tasting, and some other vendors. People were out on paddle boats you can rent. I really wanted to like the wine but it was too sweet for me, instead I bought a bottle of peach cider from the produce stand. They said you can mix in vodka for a great summer beverage. It was $10 for two 32 oz bottles. We were exhausted from the walking around. We drop to Mr.Sushi in Cherry Hill afterwards for the $26.95 all you can eat sushi for dinner. It was relaxing and we worked up an appetite! Working on my review of tonight's dinner too Pool morrow after a much needed good nights rest! Tulip season is short so don't delay going. FArm is open 3/28-4/24 for picking tulips! I highly recommend checking them out but I wouldn't buy my tickets far in advance as of it rains I would not go, I'd buy a day or two ahead of time, no longer. Also, during the weekend the parking lot is full and grand is uneven. Wear sturdy four sneakers or your feet will hurt. There is handicap parking up front. If you have any kind of walking issue or for elderly guests they will help you get from field to field in a golf cart. You might have to wait. There was also a bunny decorated wagon ride I believe was free but we didn't use that. read more

Beautiful location to enjoy yourself among the million tulips. I went during the week so I didn't get to experience the food trucks, wine tasting and music that they have on the weekends but I got to walk around and was able to take many wonderful photos completely uninterrupted and without having to worry about the crowds. read more

Huge THANK YOU to this farm for making their location a social distance friendly environment!! Purchase tickets in advance on their website. $20 plus a $2 service fee. Well worth it as the tulips are beautiful. Foremost gives us something to do while quarantined and yet in a safe matter. Upon arrival you're guided to the entrance. At the entrance your online purchase barcode is scanned. You're then guided to follow the road. On average it was about 2 laps. At the beginning you will see tulips on your left. Loop around and you have tulips left and right. Loop again and tulips only on the right. As you exit you have the option to bare right to exit or bare left to purchase tulips. All workers are protected with gloves and masks. A bundle of beautiful fresh tulips starts at $10. Everyone was very friendly! Attended the tulip festival during the two bridges wine festival. This was such a great day! A bit muddy and the lot is intimidating. Don't worry about the volume of cars. It was a beautiful day and a great last days of summer activity. We had to order our tickets a head of time to reserve a spot and we were advised to bring our own cutters for the flowers. Really cute farm. This was our first trip here and didn't entirely know what to expect considering we have only been to one tulip farm previously. Overall it was a good time, they had a few cute items for photo opportunities such as a swing, a beach, paddleboats, giant tulips & sunflowers as well as a tulip shaped chair and giant adorondak chair not to mention the fields of tulips. My biggest let down of the day was the fact that your entry granted you zero tulips and there was no way to purchase bulbs. I'm hoping that as they expand the farm and increase the number of tulips they have that they may allow digging for bulbs. I want to see exactly what I'm buying. I know they have an order system for bulbs but I don't want a generic photo of one tulip of that variety, I want this specific tulip. The fact that it's conveniently located just southeast of Philly is much more enjoyable than a drive to Virginia. While there we did get some snacks and a drink. They had several food trucks lined up. My wife went to the BBQ truck and got mac & cheese and brussle sprouts. Both were top notch however my wife said they were the best brussles sprouts she ever had. read more

When we entered we were offered a ride on a golf cart to where we were going we declined cause the walk to the flowers was not far. Flowers were $2 each or 10 for $10.? Then you had a food stand with peppers and onions cheesesteak fries and other selection they also had wine and beer and soft drinks. We took that over to the lake where their were paddle boats. Dalton farm: South New Jersey  Sunflower and Zina fields. Hey a great spot to visit and spend some relaxing time,  I also thought this could be a great date location.  I happen to stop during Sunflower  season which was coming to an end, also it has become a new trend of family outings to participate. Tickets are available on the website for entrance fees. Their were @ least 10 photo or selfie opportunities for you to use maybe more. They have a lake on the property which you can go out and paddle boat around on, make reservations to avoid waiting. They have also partnered with a winery and have wine and beer on the premises, along with some picnic tables and high top tables for you to gather around and enjoy food purchased at vendor location. They have small fire pits to enjoy early evening fires. They do have live music, the lake has like a sandy beach before it which makes it as enjoyable as the shore. (No swimming in the lake). I really enjoyed coming to this farm. It was beautiful. There were multiple different patches of flowers and they were all different colors. There were also different little structures that people were able to take pictures in front of. People were able to buy flowers for a dollar a stem, and there were also food vendors there that people could purchase food and drinks from. I had a really nice time, but we went on the last day of the season so the flowers were dying and not as lively as they probably were at the beginning of the season. read more

What a great day! This was my first visit to Dalton Farms and what a great experience. Acres and Acres of tulips. All different sizes, colors and types of. Row after row with four different parts to view. Parking was easy. It's a short walk to all the fields, but they do have transportation if you need it. You can also clip any tulips you like for $1 each. I was too busy checking out all tulips and clipping for bouquets to take lots of pics. So much fun. They have strict covid regulations and I felt safe every step of the way. Can't wait for fall when the sunflowers are in bloom. read more

We stopped by here during the pandemic and they are doing a great job providing an activity for families while maintaining social distancing rules. You drive around the farm in your car and can see the Easter bunny as well as all their beautiful tulips. At the end, they offer curbside pick up if you want to order some tulips to go.
