Cherries
Ekta P.

Went for the first time today for cherry picking and it was not a disappointment. Probably like hundreds of cherry trees! The only sad thing was we couldn't find any of the yellow-orange cherries bc they were all picked! We found plenty of red and black cherries. Strawberry season is over but we still were able to pick about 3 pounds of strawberries as well. I would definitely go back to pick cherries and even other fruits and vegetables! Also no entrance fee which was good.

I can't believe this was our first time strawberry picking. I stumbled upon this place while googling for a local strawberry farm. I love that it's local and inexpensive. The strawberries were $1.75/lb. They also have cherries at $1.85/lb. The cherry farm was closed this weekend though. Check their Facebook page for the schedule. This is a fun activity for all ages. We certainly enjoyed our time going through the patch. The church across the street makes a nice backdrop. They also sell other produce such as watermelons, blueberries, avocados, and sunflower plants. They have 2 benches, so it's a cute place to have lunch! Caution, there is only a portable bathroom. I just wish they had other fruits to pick than just cherries and strawberries.

I checked this place out last weekend and I was impressed with the abundance of food and drinks…read morethat are included with the AYCE offer. At A-Pot, you're not only getting the usual options of meat, veggies, and seafood for your hot pot and grill-- you're also hooked up with a variety of sushi, sashimi, and deep fried food to fill up your plates with. I liked that their sauce bar is filled with ample options of sauces to mix and match whatever suits your tastebud's needs for the day/occasion. For our group, we loved the house special sauce to go with the grilled meat. What also wowed me was that they had a fridge filled with delicious milk tea/iced teas that you can take as part of your meal. I loved the Thai tea-looking drink as well as the passion fruit tea. Some people in our group also had taro and loved it. As for dessert, I love that they have a buffet section dedicated for sweets as well as a fridge full of single-serving ice cream cups. Of all the flavors, I tried their coffee ice cream and it was really good. Since our group was one of the first to dine there for the day, food was still pretty fresh when we arrive. The interior is spacious and designed like a typical buffet, so I guess there isn't much to write home about for ambience. Service was pretty ok, but we had to flag down the servers to change our grill pans and refill our hot pot broth every once in a while. Overall, I'd say you get the bang for your buck here. I would love to go there again.

Prices reasonable and only $0.99 for soft drinks! For was decent. I wish they had an upgrade to Waygu meats for higher quality but they didn't. Be prepared for at least two hours as you have to cook your own food. The service could be better. The waitresses were congregating together and talking and not paying attention to their customers. Their English is not so good and their menu needs to be properly translated as there were grammar mistakes. They should hire a professional to translate. Nevertheless the place has good food, good prices and I will definitely be back!

This Amish Market IS smaller than the Williamstown one, but I think this one is better! First, The donuts! There are so many different options to choose from when picking your favorite donut. For me, the basic white cream is my first option! Another good one is the smores, as well as the blueberry fritter! Each shop is it's own, so you can browse the store/counters and then pay there before moving onto the next one! There is plenty of different options to choose from like fresh meats, candy, bread, sweets, cheese, pretzels, fruits and veggies, and even handmade soap! You can pretty much find anything that you need, right here! This is a great alternative to driving out to Lancaster PA, but the Lancaster experience is definitely better. Everyone is friendly here. The store is literally ALWAYS packed since they are only open Thursday-Saturday. There is plenty of parking, but the lot does fill up fast! Overall, the atmosphere is very nice, just be prepared to be crammed in while browsing. They also have a restaurant to sit and dine in and they do take-out. I've heard that they have some really good food here!

It was a pleasant location and I waited for my dining partner standing outside an older looking building, which I thought was a nice venue for a restaurant. But, then I saw my dining partner's car turn into a driveway or street or parking lot. a few buildings down from where I was. Surprise. surprise they were going to the right location. I just parked in the extra parking lot. not the greatest start to an evening's dinner. However, once I discovered the real restaurant, I found that we were eating at a quaint quality dining location. the menu was interesting with some very simple choices. However, I was disappointed to find out there was no soup of the day just french onion and their matzah. Service was prompt and friendly, which you always want when you dine out. Well that was until we were encouraged to leave because reservations were coming in (We had finished dining And we're just conversing so it was not that troublesome that we were basically told we had a couple of minutes to get out of the restaurant.). Our dinner options were a salad and pasta, I chose the small portion of pasta based on the waitress's recommendation and she was right. The food was all really good, which will probably lead to a return visit. The Blueplate appears to offer many interesting options with music and other activities. So kudos to them.
