On December 28, 2022 I found a listing on line for a Black Atlas Sport at Hiley Volkswagen…read moreHuntsville for $33,490. which was advertised with attractive specialty Black rims that matched the car, as the Atlas Sport was a car I had wanted & the Special Black Rims were an appealing feature that matched my expectations for the vehicle. However, upon finalizing the purchase, I was having a discussion with my Sales Associate Eric about the warranty. I wanted to know what the car came with as I typically do not keep my cars longer than 50,000 miles. This car had low mileage. I was asked about the extended warranty as I explained to the Sales Associate that I did not need to purchase the extended warranty because I was not going to be keeping the car that long. He also talked to me about the rim & entire package. I explained that my last car had that warranty, I didn't find it to be all that great because typically they don't warranty what they say they're going to. I discussed what I wanted my monthly fee to be. We went over the monthly arrangements several times, at which time I said I would bring money to the table along with my trade-in to get my monthly fee down to what I wanted it to be. Eric left the room to go speak with Brad, who was the F&I. He came back and said don't worry about the warranties. We've decided to "THROW THEM IN." Those were his exact words: "throw them in." I didn't think much about it. It was late. It was raining. They wanted me to purchase the car that night as it was December 30th, 2022, they needed to close out their year. I went over and sat with Brad (F&I) at the Audi dealership. As I was signing the numerous documents. I noticed that my car payment had gone up, roughly around $50. I didn't think much of it, it wasn't going to break me. He put a bunch of papers in front of me with little X's and told me to sign them. I didn't really understand I was being lied to, manipulated, and l that I was being taken for an additional $4,190. I drove the car home that evening, knowing that I had to bring it back as they wanted to clean it out the next day and wash it for me. Upon arriving the next day, I was met by Eric, who informed me that the previous owner who traded the car in wanted their Special Black Rims back, they did not offer me a discount for the rims. They took the rims off of the car and put on standard rims. The rims that they put on the car were not the same rims as advertised in the online advertisement for the car, a crucial factor in my decision to buy that particular car. I really wasn't willing to throw a fit about it, I just thought maybe I was missing something. Once again, I was very excited to have the car that I had always wanted. About six months later, I'm looking over my contract. I found that Brad & Eric actually charged me for their extended warranty, bumper-to-bumper, which I've been told covers nothing. I have no knowledge of what it's supposed to cover per warranty service agreement or documents on the warranty. I have no contact information. I have an issue with my car now, I had the same issue a year ago. I brought it in for an engine check light on, they said it was nothing and that they didn't notice anything and that it was fine. A year later, I'm having the same issue and now it's $1,000 to fix that car and not covered by the wonderful warranty that I paid for that I did not ask for. Let's go back to the rim & tire package. That's when I noticed that I had been lied to and charged for these warranties. I had an issue with a tire. After taking my car in for my first big oil change, which was part of the contract, $400 already paid for. They rotated my tires, and upon leaving, I noticed a significant bump in my front tire, a flat spot. I took it back to the dealership. I was met by the service advisor and the service manager, who walked around my car and checked the tread. They did a test drive with me in the vehicle to point out the significant flat spot in the tire, which they both acknowledged was there, then told me that the tire was fine and that it would fix itself. The tire was clearly damaged, and I had to throw a fit to get them to change it. Tires do not repair themselves. To make matters worse, in April 2025, my windshield wiper decided to break. I took the car in. I was met by the service manager, who looked at me and asked me if I had turned the wiper on during the snow. It was April. There was no snow. They proceeded to pull the whole arm off and then superglue it back on and told me it would be fine. My issue with this dealership is I did not ask to purchase or agree to purchase the extended warranty. All of this was put on my contract, additional funds which has interest on top of the money I agreed to paid. If this is not a crime, it should be. I believe the advertisement could be considered misleading, having them add on warranties and having me pay for them under the guides of "throwing them in" I feel that is Fraud!

I have dealt with alot of used car dealers in the past, so many that I learned how to work on cars to keep from being taken advantaged of, and I have never had any issues with these folks. Alex will tell me as soon as I point out a car if there are issues that I need to be aware of, to the point where he won't sell me the car. The first car I bought from these folks, I drove it off the lot and the transmission started slipping. I drove it back to Gary and he drove it and told Alex 1st gear was getting ready to die. I was immediately given my money back. I found a 2013 Ford Focus there that Alex and Gary gave a green light. Perfect car. I had reason to go shopping for a second car. Went straight there. Found a Toyota Prius. We thought it needed a new master cylender. They worked on it and worked on it. Found out it needed a sensor and they were going to take it back to the auction. Found a Toyota Camry there and again, perfect car. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
