Worst customer service. They are so incredibly rude, and overpriced and treat you so differently when you're not Indian.

Cute clothing, decent prices and a huge section for children!…read more Shopping for Indian attire tends to be an ordeal. There is always a new fashion- something that was in the latest movie or worn by the hip new Bollywood store. Fabrics are so complicated, the type of work on the outfit varies in craftsmanship, quality and materials and so on and so on. Usually, I have my outfits sent over from Delhi, but when I can't, I always visit Libaas first. Located one block from Oaktree Road in Edison (where most of the indian stores are located), this store is tucked away, yet on a main road (Rt 27). The location is not glamorous and the fitting rooms are small (has a sink and possibly an old kitchen counter?). Owner Usha Sondhi does a great job directing you to the latest arrivals, but also keeps the classics around for those that have a preference. The pricing is fair. I purchased one Anarkali churidar suit- double layered with net on top and shimmer material beneath with crystals and beadwork heavy on the bodice, waist and along the bottom, one child outfit with heavy beadwork, matching shoes and one child cotton outfit with light embroidery for $250. My Anarkali top had to be tailored which was done free of charge and ready two days later. The selection of children's clothing is AMAZING here-- most sizes, colors and styles available and for reasonable prices. Will definitely be back for more!

My sister also got a custom outfit done here, and it was absolutely stunning, the detailing was beautiful, everything came together perfectly, and she received so many compliments at the event. You can really tell they put care into their work. Highly recommend Khajana for anyone looking for quality pieces and great service. I'll definitely be coming back!

Their pieces were unique and beautiful. We then proceeded to go around to all the shops in Edison. We didn't find the same quality except at Sajda, but those very 4x the price. So we went back to make an appt at Khajana for the next day but they said we had to do it online. So we made it online (there is a $35 charge for the appt). When we came to our appt, they didn't have it in the system and they weren't very welcoming at that point but we showed that we did pay so they helped us and we ended up buying 4 pieces. I think their selection is one of the best in Edison but they could have overall been more warmer and more friendly is my only feedback. I think they were more friendly once they knew we were buying but it would have been nice to be received that way from the start.

I wandered in to look around before the friendly store associate told me about a spin-the-wheel opening promotion that offers a random discount, with a minimum of 10% off. The shelves are stocked with a lot of high-quality collectible merchandise and wearables from popular manga and anime franchises. The right wall has an impressive collection of Studio Ghibli backpacks and sweatshirts which I have never seen in a brick-and-mortar setting. Most of the in-store inventory seems to be what you would find in a collectibles boutique rather than in a toy store or a GameStop (no Funko Pops here lol). Looking at the prices, this BoxLunch's target clientele appears to be significantly older and wealthier than the penniless high schoolers that Menlo Mall is known to attract. BoxLunch claims to donate $10 of every clothing purchase to charity, which partially explains the higher-than-average markup. Menlo Park Mall already has at least four other stores that sell and/or specialize in pop culture collectibles, so seeing another one here is kind of surprising (even more so when you consider how both shopping malls and brick-and-mortar retail are in steep decline). The interior decor is slightly classier than say, the tweeny interior of Hot Topic, but I'd give this location a single-term lease at most before it gets replaced with something else. https://www.simon.com/mall/menlo-park-mall/stores/boxlunch
