We usually reserve this kind of work for people we know or recommended by people we trust. So, I was a little skeptical about how it would turn out. Michael definitely delivered. He showed up the next day to give a quote, sent me a quote a couple of days later, and then started the job two weeks from my initial inquiry. So the first part of this review is that he showed up in a timely manner, which was something 4 other people failed to do. He worked on our basement drywall after we had a flood. He replaced the bottom half of what was cut out, put in trim, and painted. He also built us a wall split up the giant space. It all turned out really well and I couldn't be more happy with it. My only complaint, but not enough to lower my stars, was that due to our basement set up, all the spackling sanding ended up on our first floor (there's no door down to the basement). It was everywhere. If you'll have this same issue, I'd recommend putting up some sort of plastic barrier. If you need drywall repair, give Michael a call! He also accepts Venmo, which was a plus for us.

They cut through the ceiling to get to the root of the leak issue, removed bad pipes from behind the ceramic tub, installed all new PVC pipes behind and underneath the bathtub, and also installed new fixtures, a new waste drain and overflow sysyems before closing everything up with new drywall, tiles and/or a fresh coat of paint. Having our basement refurbished after a sump pump failure. Obtained estimates from four (4)…read morecontractors for the work. We chose Yeager. Adam Yeager, owner, arrived 745am on Monday AM exactly as agreed and began work. Very professional and easy to work with. Responsive and easy to communicate with. Clear estimate was provided before work commenced. It was adjusted during the work downward, by Adam. Work proceeded for three days then we had a day off so drywall work could dry. Drying process took a day or two longer than anticipated and the sanding folks came by the following Monday. They did a nice job. Painters were delayed a day and came on Thursday AM. They were supposed to finish in a day but could not and had to return after the holiday weekend. Extended schedule running up against the holiday weekend. We thought this was going to be a shorter project. It is ok. We realize the weather and schedules can change. Painters returned Tuesday AM to finish up. Adam also came by with the carpet men who delivered the carpet for installation the next day. They returned Weds AM and finished up Wednesday afternoon. We do like how diligent Adam is with the subs and that he always stops by to check on the work. I was comfortable leaving the house to do some chores and having a workout during the work. Final bill was as expected. I asked Adam to be available to speak with my Insurer so that they could better understand why the work costed more than the insurance adjusters estimate. We needed work in a ceiling that had been cut out to do a/c work. The contractor left it as is. Our tenant and us, just let it go, to be fair, but now since he's moving, we had to have the work done. I had emailed and called the handyman that the property manager uses for the entire building. I thought he knew the place and since it was familiar to him, a no brainer to use him. After waiting and leaving several messages, absolutely no response whatsoever. I found Rittenhouse Handyman on Yelp. It was very easy to schedule and appointment. No hassle at all. I sent them a picture of the problem and they sent me a fair estimate. What's really amazing is that they were responsive, easy to schedule an appointment with, and they showed up and did the work as promised. They did the work and they kept their word. We have two other rentals in the boonies in the Sierra Foothills in California and getting people to call you back and actually show up to do the work is hell. It's literally hit or miss and we have dealt with a lot of bait and switch folks, too. They quote you one price and lo and behold, there's more stuff that needs to be done.
