Hubby and I stopped in for breakfast. You order your food at the bar and it's then brought to your table. Service was prompt and friendly. The food was pretty good though the menu stated that the shrimp and grits are made with a cream sauce. What I got wasn't a cream sauce. It was more of a tomato-based sauce that was closer to a creole type sauce. It tasted fine though it wasn't what I was in the mood for since I was looking forward to cream sauce. The reason for the two starts is due to the fact that when I received my bill, despite the shrimp and grits being listed on the menu for $14, they showed up as $14.54 on my receipt. I questioned two different workers and neither one could explain the discrepancy, nor did they offer to return the money to me. They took my name and number and assured me that a manager would call me. That was four days ago and still no call. I can't imagine how much this is adding up over time across multiple days, dishes, and people.

Crawfish, cold beer, & excellent service. Crawfish wasn't so hot that my children couldn't enjoy it like most places. Good flavoring. The bartender yesterday 3-30-24 was working her booty off. I even noticed the owner step in to help, which is what I love seeing. Atmosphere was "a whole vibe". Isn't that what the young ones say these days? ;)

This seems like a cool bar and they also have live music. You can also find some nice views here either looking at the bay or looking into the hordes of humans that now walk about all around Bay St. Louis these days. I sampled the cheeseburger here and while the fries were alright I don't see myself ever getting the burger again as it just wasn't up to my minimum standards and really wasn't very enjoyable to eat. The burger resembled a Wendy's burger a bit but with round meat instead of square yet a Wendy's burger tastes far better than what I was served. Overall I would definitely return here for the bar and music while avoiding the burger.

Took a drive from NOLA to drive by the beach and look at stuff. Stopped for lunch at Dan B's, intending to go to the 3rd floor and have lunch overlooking the Gulf. Unfortunately, due to lack of employees, only floor 1 was open for seating. I ordered and sat outside. I had the shrimp salad and a couple of Coronas. The beer was cold, and tasty. I was disappointed a bit at the small sized shrimp, but overall, it was tasty, and the server was smiley and friendly. The street is nice. I like it. I will try other things here.

Didn't eat here although they do serve breakfast-dinner. Food looks delicious on other Yelp reviews but since we weren't hungry at the time, we just got some delicious cold drinks and enjoyed the view! Staff was friendly and provided great service ! Definitely will be back to try the food!

For anyone with service dogs or apart of the ADA !!!!DO NOT!!!!! go to this establishment. Upon entry, we were asked if our dog was a service dog, which we replied yes. Then when asked what service our dog provided, we the answered "he's an alert dog for blood sugar levels" as my boyfriend has diabetes. Under FEDERAL LAW by the ADA, you are not allowed to ask about the disability of the person with the service animal or for an "ID" of the animal. This is a lawsuit waiting to happen. They refused us entry because we did not show an ID for our dog or have a "service dog vest" (which we could simply order on Amazon, that's not a legitimate "ID"). Attached is the info from the ADA stating you cannot ask that. My boyfriend and I try to inform people instead of a lawsuit to provide a kind and informal point of view. This is truthfully disheartening and embarrassing for anyone with a disability and has a service animal.

Very casual, awesome place in Old Bay St. Louis! Upon the recommendation of the server, I had to order the fish reuben! It was outstanding!! I highly recommend you try this!! My husband ordered me gravy cheese fries, knowing I like them, it was good. My husband even enjoyed some! He got a lunch plate special. Hamburger steak with gravy mashed potatoes, which he enjoyed very much! Unexpected enjoyment, all around!! Check them out! Right on the bay!

Dan B's is perfectly located with views of the marina and Bay Bridge. Inside it has a casual roadhouse type vibe and I really like it. So great views and a vibe I like, but only three stars? Yep. Those things are awesome, but my visit was for breakfast and I was not very impressed. Who knew a bar served breakfast? I didn't, but we happened to be dining nearby for breakfast when my kid saw one of her teachers. He recommended we try Dan B's for breakfast and everyone knows teachers know best right? Wrong. Due to the height requirements in the building codes, Dan B's is built very high up. Even if you can't do stairs, there is an elevator so don't let that discourage you. You could also pretend you are going up the stairs and then at the last minute take the elevator making your kids think you've abandoned them, but I don't know who would really do that. Note: I am a bad parent. So once the kids realized I wouldn't actually ditch them in a bar room, we were seated for breakfast. I ordered a western with home fries and a biscuit. It wasn't bad, but wasn't what I had expected based on the glowing recommendation we got before hand. One of the main reasons I like going out to get breakfast is that breakfast joints seem to be able to make omelets and eggs was tastier than I can. That was not the case here. Again, it was just OK. On a positive note, the kids did seem to enjoy their food and liked it way more than I did. But they can't write reviews just yet so we will have to go by my experience. I really like the view and ambiance here so I may be back. I'll just skip it at breakfast time.

    What is their breakfast menu?

Eggs, hashbrowns, bacon/sausage, grits, pancakes, breakfast sandwiches, omelettes. My recommendation is the bacon/egg/cheese sandwich with the famous grits. You don't even need to add butter or salt to the grits! I am sure other items will be… Read more

So I've lived here in the Kiln for about 5 years. Never ate here. Recently started working next…read moredoor. Anyways... first 3-4 days of work I went in occasionally for a drink/food etc... My fiancé did as well. Every time either of us went there we were met with glares, rude remarks and sub-par customer service. For example, one day he came by to buy me breakfast and bring it over to me... He asked a question, was met with a dry and crass remark. He said " I'm sorry I've never been here before." And the response he was given was "clearly..." Well to top it off I asked about a job, or hours they may have available due to needing work currently. Bills are over whelming and I'm usually open to most opportunities to make some extra money to support my family. First, I asked. I did ask about a job. For days no one called, and wasn't really any direct answer. Next, I received a call from the owner at night stating I could come in, make 8/hr and try it out and see what I thought... I'm assuming someone quit and they were in a bind. I did agree and said, " yeah I could come in and see what I think...thanks!" Next morning, for several reasons, I did not go. -pay -mom sick -others telling me I don't want to work for them. Anyways, because of this I didn't go in. I tried to call the owner to give him a heads up, due to money issues my phone was off. I had to hustle up some money and pay my phone card. Anyways fast forward to 2/3pm... I was met with 3 girls giggling, degrading and talking shit about the shop I was in. Glares, ignoring me when I asked if I could help them... and just all around rude and bitter comments. Ok, no big deal. Next some bigger woman, with a nasty attitude to match her appearance... walked in behind them to loud cap me about not showing for the shift, how I left them in a bind, and to ensure the guy I currently work for heard, was loud about the whole scenario telling me how horrible I was. And just all are round rude, petty, and distasteful. Ok again, I apologized tried to explain myself and offer some sense of remorse for my action and not justify my actions but ensure she knew I understand that they were left in a bind which was NOT my intentions... She didn't care. She was crappy. Rude. And just all around just as unpleasant as the food she serves. Well... that is not where is stopped with the immaturity and unprofessional actions. Next the OWNER walked in behind her to show me his phone. To let me... and my current boss know... that I didn't try to call and again loudly state I had tried to work for them, messed up their day and how awful I was... Ok... I didn't want to get into it about my finances, my phone being off about how I did try to reach out, my apologies... etc etc.. Again not rude, I said I'm sorry. I hope they know that and he made a crass comment, side eyed me and just said it's fine have a great day. This is the MOST unprofessional, petty, rude, immature, and arrogant and pathetic people I have ever met as a whole. And I thought just the food was bad..... Oh to add, I cleaned their windows 2 days prior to be "nice" due to the owner mentioning none of his employees had yet to do it. Well... no worries it was a kind gesture from me, they should take notes..:.

There was 9 of us and most enjoyed their breakfast selections. I had the ham and cheese omelette,…read morewith toast and hash browns. The omelette was barely warm but tasty, hash browns were hot but both left a greasy after taste in my mouth. The wife had the croissant egg and bacon sandwich. The croissant was a little dark and the bacon was very salty but it to left a greasy taste in her mouth. Others had the grits and shrimp, country fried steak as well as breakfast sandwiches. T was our waitress and she did a fantastic job making sure our drinks were continually filled (they also had another young lady checking on our refills too. The restaurant was your typical diner with lots of tables and chairs. Their dispensers holding the salt, pepper and other items is disgusting they were either dirty or rusted and need a severe cleaning or replaced. They also have a problem with their ac dripping onto the floor, which could lead to a potential slip and fall I pointed out one of the areas in question to give them a chance to take steps to prevent any issues.
