A friend and I were hungry and looking for some bar food. We dropped by Kelly's after seeing they had wings, burgers, wraps and other typical pub style options. Turns out they didn't have wings, but they are definitely a great spot for other bar food. We had the club sandwich and the Buffalo chicken tater tots. Don't get me wrong, both dishes were great, but next trip I'll get just the chicken fingers dipped in their buffalo sauce. I'd consider myself a buffalo chicken connoisseur and Kelly's is great. Service was spot on and attentive. My friend asked for beer recommendations based on what they like and the server was well versed. Overall, Kelly's is a your hometown pub. Since I've turned 21 I started going here. Tonight was so uncalled for. I go in to have my shift drink as I do, the girl who bartended us, let other strangers taste my drink. If I didn't say anything she was literally going to serve it to me. This is a really poor representation of this bar, I have loved this bar until tonight. And again I had my SHIFT drink and my husband got a drink, and instead of taking mine off the bill she took his off. Stopped in on a Friday about 4PM. I'm in my early 50's and was in my work clothes (HVAC commercial service tech) so I didn't blend well with the young, hip business people who were coming in from down town G-port. I'm of Irish heritage so I thought I'd try the place out to see what it offered. There were 2 nice looking ladies tending bar and a cook. There were probably 20 patrons in the place. Realizing that I wasn't a young regular, I tried to stay out of the busy part of the bar and went to the end nearest the cook. I stood there about 5 minutes as the bar maids went back and forth slinging drinks and handling the hipsters at the other end. After they walked by me several times and looked me dead in the eye without saying a word, I left. I see several others comment about the lack of attention so I guess it wasn't anything personal but I hope the owners/management take note of us. I spend 20-30 bucks every Friday on beer at local joints because I like to relax and people watch. I may (or may not) try this place again. My wife works at a bank right around the corner and she could be my DD if I could get some damn service here. If not, that's cool too. My money spends just as well somewhere else. read more

I was hungry waiting for work, so I got an order to go over the phone and was told it'd be ready in 15 minutes. I was pleased that it was ready right on time. (Recommend calling ahead every time if you're getting food to go) I ordered the burger with added bacon and fried Mac n cheese, along with French fries. Burger was well seasoned. However, it was disappointingly dry. The fried Mac was also pretty dry. (I'd recommend getting normal cheese as well, which I should of done.) The bacon was fine. French fries were above average. Fee like I could of gotten a few more fries, but that's a small complaint. The bright side is that for $7, that's a pretty good deal. Service has always been great, and being served by pretty ladies in super short skirts is always nice! I like stopping in to quench my thirst when I'm cruisin the beach and ESPECIALLY during Crusin' the Coast. During View the Cruise, this place is ROCKIN. For Old Gulfport this is an okay watering hole. Nice sound system /with a good juke box selection. The evening is predominantly for a younger crowd - while afternoons are a mixed grouping. Kelly's is your classic sports pub. It is small, but has good amenities: darts, pool, lots of TV's, Good draft beers and full bar. The burgers are fantastic! Told they are ground in house and they taste fresh. They have an awesome $5 burger basket daily, although you cannot modify it an some days they are a little weird. The place is clean and staff friendly, I like the open cook area, so I can see my food being prepped. Portions are generous and they have draft specials for happy hour. Although I marked it is not good for kids (most uptight parents may not want to go), I thought it was fine if you go early before the smokers and barfly's show up. I took my 7 & 10 y/o for a 5pm burger basket and they loved it! Said it was the best burger in town!! They have one little table outside, but are only open for lunch on the weekends.
