He set up a date/time for the 9 old, fully grown cedar trees to be removed and showed up on time & ready to go. Well, they just finished and did a SPECTACULAR JOB and even cleaned up the entire section of yard as an added bonus. All the workers were dressed properly and were VERY NICE & RESPECTFUL. This summer I hired him to do some extensive yardwork involving mitigating a swampy area and clearing out an overgrown area including a rather large dead tree and regrading the area. He also did some major tree trimming about the property. All of these jobs were done extremely well, at a reasonable cost and in a timely manner. Clean-up was thorough. Josh and his men were professional and friendly. I like hiring local and it's great to know he is available to do the kind of work that so often pops up on a rural property.

We have experienced two tree removals with Josh. One was three years ago when our next-door…read moreneighbor hired him and we shared the cost with her, as the tree was at the property line. The other was last week when she hired him to remove a dead ash that was threatening our home. Both times he did the job properly but was rude in the process. On this occasion, we spoke with him by phone about his plans to go all the way across our property and onto our driveway in order to remove the debris. He reluctantly agreed to take the shorter route on our neighbor's property, but when he arrived he started to set up in front of our house. It took several attempts and the threat to deny permission to access our property before he finally became civil and did as we asked. The tree which was very tall and difficult to remove came down with only a little damage to our oak, but Josh never acknowledged or apologized for his rude behavior. The bottom line is that if you want a skilled tree service with seasaoned workers, and you don't mind being treated badly, Josh is your man.

I wouldn't recommend for driveway plowing…read more My father in law lives on Edwards Falls lane in Manlius, and is part of an HMA which contracted with Proscapes for driveway plowing, The service has been very poor. First of all, they will only come if there is 4 inches of snow fall per day. Although you might be able to get through the driveway with 4 inches of snow, the city plow will still come by and pile two to three times that at the end of the driveway. If it snows 3.9 inches every day for 3 days, they still wont come, and now the driveway is impassable. And, if there is any drifting from wind, this does not count toward snow fall, so you're on your own. When they do come, the don't plow the whole width of the driveway. This last storm, they plowed within 1 ft on the left side of the driveway (which I could live with), but was 3 to 4 feet from the left side of the driveway. So, the driveway which is normally double car width is reduced to 1.5 car width. This has been typical of every time they plow. Also, to save time, they drive the truck in forward, drop the blade, and then pull the snow backwards with the plow. This doesn't do a good job getting down to the pavement, and to make things worse, they don't clean up the snow they dragged back so that there is a drift left at the end of the driveway, before the city plow comes and makes it worse. The end result is that the driveway is so poorly plowed, it is virtually impassable, even after one heavy snow fall. This means someone has to go out and manually shovel to make it passable. Unfortunately, my father in law is stuck with this service since the HMA does not allow him to opt out to get his own service. Based on these results I would not recommend Proscapes in Jamesville NY for plowing services
