Local Honey from Dan the Honeyman + Organic Lemons = Perfect Honey Lemon Tea
    Tanya G.

Can't believe I haven't posted this yet! Dan is a true Bee Advocate and we cannot THANK him enough as a family for the services he's provided to us! I found him through multiple referrals on the Nextdoor App from neighbors who needed help relocating bees at their property; which I didn't need at the time. What I wanted was local honey, and thought if he didn't have it, he would know someone that does. Sure enough, he had it! I can say that his honey is not only the best, but I think it tastes even better because of the love that is put into his hive(s). Now, just ahead months and several jars of honey later (just call me Pooh), I noticed a couple bees in my house. Within days, a couple turned into several, and I was closing off rooms in the house not knowing where they were coming from. I called Dan, as my husband is allergic, and he came out within a day or so. Turns out, they were "Scout Bees" and weren't planning on staying. He closed off the entrance points, and told me to call if there were any more issues. They all moved on shortly thereafter, and so did our lives. Dan was reasonably priced, a very kind guy to work with, and just in case you don't know who's at your door...he always wears a yellow shirt and black shorts (like a little bee)

Dan came out and removed beehive that had formed on our roof eave. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about his work. Thank you for the great work!

I posted my bee issue in a Facebook bee group and Dan reached out. He was able to help me relocate the established hive that I had living in a wall at my newly bought house. He was extra careful not to damage anything he did not need to and was sure he got the entire colony. This colony was massive but he did it all in shorts and a t-shirt, very safely. The bees did not get aggressive and I have not had any issue since. He was something like a bee whisperer. He even gave us quite a biology lesson on the bees while doing the removal, which my kids loved. I didn't know how magnificent these little creatures are! I couldn't find anyone willing to relocate them, everyone just wanted to kill them. I was trying to avoid that. He did the removal for less than half what other pest control companies quoted me. Totally recommend Dan for any live bee removal needed in the valley. He does amazing work.

Thousands of bees were saved today. Good deed of the week.

Thank you Dan for saving and removing the bees from our home. You charged the same as others charged for killing them but you spent extra time and effort saving them. I also appreciated how you showed me the queen and step by step process on how you will remove them. It was a wonderful experience well worth.

Truly amazing. I had a problem with Africanized bees who decided to make a home under an Olive tree…read morein my yard. I called a place to help and didn't know until they got here that they would exterminate instead of doing a live removal. They actually had to come back twice and the bees were very aggressive... and I am very allergic! Not a good combination. I called Honey Horizons after seeing reviews on another site. Turns out, the owner lives very close to me. She said she would come and take a look. She did and I am so glad that I called. She looked at the tree, gave a really good explanation of the problem.... and how to solve it. The bees by now were already dead, but since the hive and honeycomb had not been removed by the first company, there was a strong probability that another swarm or colony would move in. It was free housing after all! She told me that I could it take care of it myself and save. Suggested that I buy some play sand and dump 1 full bag in the area of the main opening, and then pour more all around the base of the tree. That would prevent a return or new visitors since they couldn't get to the old hive. She didn't even charge me for her professional advice. Very knowledgeable, on the board of the state beekeepers association, and very friendly. Hopefully I don't have anymore problems, but if I do, I know who I will call....you should too and have "sweet" days for the rest of the season!

I also purchased my first nucleus colony from her and that colony is healthy and going strong. As a mentor she shares all that she knows and is always looking to educate herself in current and reliable bee keeping methods. She never rushes the time she spends with me whether in person or on the phone. I expect she is the same with her removal clients. She willing shares her knowledge with her clients. Meechee K is professional, conscientious and always works with integrity. I highly recommend her services. It's best to remove and relocate bees. It benefits everyone.

I'm a bee I'm a bee…read moreI'm a I'm a Rango Bee... Rejected Black Eyed Peas lyrics This is some tasty honey! Stopped by the store to get a gift pack. It was a bit warm inside but in the winter I suppose I'd rather have it warmer inside than cold. The salesperson here was friendly and explained all the different varieties in stock and answered any questions I had. They have samples of all the honey for you to try. I enjoyed all of them but if I had to narrow down my favorites they would be the desert bloom and the orange blossom. I enjoyed the hint of floral essence in each one. I wanted a variety pack of all 4 honey varieties (Orange blossom, clover, desert bloom and mesquite) but the closest they had was a 3 pack without the desert bloom. The 3 pack consists of 6 oz glass jars while the individual jars start at 12 oz, with a 12 oz squeeze bottle available as well. I did see that on their website they do offer a variety pack of all four types of honey for sale but the physical store does not sell it. Hmm. In addition to their honey they also sell bee pollen. I like how the profits go towards helping adults with autism. Go in and try out their delicious honey and you'll bee hooked! UPDATE: Apparently their honey is cheaper at grocery stores around the area. I found the exact same products a few dollars cheaper at Natural Grocers. Why is it more expensive at their physical store then?
