For several years now I have been contemplating the removal of a very tall pine tree in my backyard which was leaning about 30 degrees towards my house. One day when I was driving through the neighborhood, I saw a crew of several guys removing a very tall tree from the backyard of one of my neighbors, I was very impressed with the level of professionalism and safety and respect to other neighbors houses located around the work site. I approached one of the workers and asked for a business card. A day later I called the number on the card and my call was promptly returned the next day. I talked to Kyle and he agreed to come out the next day to look at the tree and determine the how and how much for the project. When he arrived he looked at the tree and the surrounding homes and said that it would be an easy job. He even suggested the removal of some other 'weed type' trees and taking down a few low hanging limbs on other trees. I never would have thought of that, I was just focused on that one tree! He agreed to come on out Monday morning at 8:30. My wife stayed home that day as she wanted to watch the operation and take pictures. Sure enough, 8:30 a.m. rolls around and here is a crew of three men with trucks and equipment in tow! They set to work right away, cutting off the limbs, then sectioning the tree and slicing it up and removing those parts out to the street to their chipper. I was very happy at the level of safety and respect they took in taking down the tree and the removal of that tree from my property to their trucks. We are in close proximity to my neighbors homes, they have nice yards with pools, decks and small shade trees. The removal was done only on MY property and they took great care to ensure they did not tresspass on my neighbors yards! So now a tree that was causing me great concern is gone, I have more sun in my backyard and no pine needles in my pool! I highly recommend Rockingham Tree Service!

Tried heavy trimming but to no avail. They had to come down. I had many solicitors over the past two years, offering a wide range of solutions with a wide range of costs. Unfortunately, I was not born with a silver spoon in my mouth. I happened upon Maguire's Family Tree Service through a glance at Facebook community page, along with several other tree services. I contacted all of them and they all responded, but when Joe (Maguire) came out, he offered me many options with solid costs for each option. He was down to earth and I liked his presentation. He doesn't have some of the large 'toys' that others have, but he has grit, determination and a good eye for the job. I researched for reviews and couldn't find much, but I still hired his company. His office staff (Felicia, the missus) is extremely competent and efficient. When Joe and Tod finished the job of several tricky tree removals, the work area was clean and the quality of work was on time and exactly what I wanted. They did a wonderfully professional job. We had a diseased 60 foot tall maple tree that needed to be removed, before the harsh weather ahead. We got three estimates. Ervin came in 33% below one of them and 14% below the other. He also offered another $300 savings option but we chose to have them do the complete job, through final cleanup. Ervin and his crew arrived on time and quickly and efficiently cut down the entire tree, mulched the smaller branches and chopped the larger, healthy ones into firewood. It was amazing to watch. The Tree Climber was particularly impressive as he skillfully maneuvered throughout the tree. The tree removal was completed in about 5 hours.
