I was impressed by their professionalism and teamwork (by a crew of four, utilizing built-in radios in their helmets for communications). They did an excellent job cleaning the slash and stacking logs to be processed for firewood. They showed up on time and completed the job in four hours, including a trip back to their shop to bring in a tracked excavator. I've worked with two other tree service companies and Wilcox is by far a "monadnock" by comparison, both in terms of performance and cost. Wilcox will be my "go-to" company for all future tree work! He devised a plan to preserve as much of the original pine walls as possible and integrated the new pieces beautifully. He identified the root of the problem - leaks at the chimney - and he had it sealed and patched fast. We then made a surprise discovery - our old log beam mantle had rotted through. We had no idea how we would find a piece of wood that would match the cabin and Jim worked magic. In two hours he found a gorgeous salvage mantle replacement - amazing. Service came out and replaced the (supposedly) brand new batteries. The chair operated for 2 weeks, then started showing error code 9 - "Service Technician required". Then in May, dead again. Another service call - still showing error code 9 but All-Ways is not willing to do anything about it - "Just use it until it dies again".

HOWEVER, when I later contacted them, looking for an estimate and questions about their services in coordination with their connection to Burl Land Clearing, I spoke to Karen, who was rather short with me, seemingly in a hurry to end my call; she said that Mark, would explain everything when he comes for the assessment and estimate. Mark (a very personable/likeable person) came on June 11, walked the property with my husband, then talked with us both about what we wanted and what his company could do. He did not give us any written document of the estimate at that time, I received a roughly hand-drawn diagram and estimate by email the following day. It was not as complete, nor detailed as my husband and I were expecting, nor hoping. My husband has multiple times suggested that we start again but was repeatedly told, no, they'll fix it. It is now July 16 and we are going to run out of time (season wise) soon. And I expect, at this point in the season, I would have difficulty finding another company with any availability. I am so disappointed as I wanted to look for a landscaper service to pretty-up my property after the trees were removed and now that needs further delay.
