The cleaning by Maria was fabulous - she made sure I had no discomfort and my teeth were SOOO clean when she was finished. Dr. Abdul and Dr. Jala both did my root canal and crown installation. I am SOOO happy with it - and it was NOT easy for them: it was my furthest back molar which had grown at an odd angle. Now I no longer have any discomfort when I eat and drink and my bite is PERFECT. I feel really lucky to have had Dr. Fogel for all those years, and I am SO happy that the new doctors are so wonderful!!!

He immediately said that I needed a Root Canal. I responded that I'd never had one done at that office. Previously, I was sent to a professional in Royal Oak by the previous dentist, Dr. Masson. Gagoh insisted that he was capable of doing a root canal. He really did a number on my tooth. He was unable to do a crown for it after additional visits. I have photos of the mess that he made. I could go on and on about the unprofessional job that he did. After two attempts to correct the mess that he'd made. He had to refund my co-pay and the amount that my insurance had paid. It was determined that he didn't fill the canal completely. I had to seek professional dental care in order to try and correct the problem. From this point on no matter what your issue is they will try to steer you towards a root canal. All I had was a tooth that got food trapped in it all the time. He improperly shaved my tooth down to prepare me for a crown. The temporary did not fit, had holes and cracks and exposed tooth causing me 2 weeks of throbbing pain. He said I needed a root canal. I ran out of there to eastbrooke dental in Novi, MI and they confirmed that Dr gagoh lied, I didn't need a root canal in fact a filing probably would have corrected the problem and that Dr gagoh put on a thin misshapen temporary. Dr gagoh didn't sound professional or knowledgeable. My instincts told me to get a second opinion and I'm glad I did. AVOID LATHRUP FAMILY DENTISTRY AT ALL COSTS YOU WILL PAY FOR IT.

I had a consult with Sharon on January 6, 2022. She discussed the treatment plan with me and then…read moreproceeded to place my braces on February 22, 2022. She initially told me that my treatment would be 18 months; however, I had my braces on for over four years. Throughout the duration of my prolonged treatment, she would assure me that my braces would be coming off within a certain timeframe; however, once that timeframe arrived, she would come up with egregious excuses as to why my treatment needed to be extended, ultimately, failing to meet the timeframe in which she discussed with me both confidently and with certainty. There were several times during appointments that I expressed to Sharon that my teeth didn't seem to be shifting and spaces weren't closing even after my braces had been tightened. After raising these concerns to her, she remained faithful in giving excuses as to why her work wasn't producing the expected results -- always lacking accountability, deflecting, and even being dismissive of my concerns. Nearly four years into my treatment, I mentioned to Sharon that I would be relocating in the near future and yet again, she assured me that my braces would be off by that time. As you can guess, the time came and my braces were not off, and she remained faithful in giving yet another ridiculous excuse as to why my treatment wasn't complete. She even went as far as pretending that she didn't remember me telling her that I would be relocating. The Oscar truly belongs to Sharon Stewart with a standing ovation, might I add. Upon the day of the scheduled removal of my braces, I mentioned to her that there were still spaces that hadn't completely closed. Sharon examined my mouth and found it appropriate to then tell me that she couldn't close those spaces any further due to the anatomy of my teeth, and that my treatment was complete. She went on to tell me that I'd have to refer to my dentist to fill in the remaining spaces. During my initial consult, examination and prepared treatment plan on January 6, 2022, Sharon failed to inform me of two of my teeth being classified as "peg laterals", or include them on her diagnostic findings, which affects my overall desired outcome and results of my treatment. That negligence is egregious, unprofessional and absolutely inexcusable. And as a cherry on top, upon asking Sharon why my treatment was prolonged and why wasn't the anatomy of my teeth discussed with me at the time of my initial consultation, she failed to provide me with an answer, deflected at every turn and attempted to have her staff cover and excuse her negligence, as well as her unprofessionalism. After all, that is not the behavior of a professional doctor. I would strongly advise anyone against seeing this "doctor". Sharon failed to provide the treatment results promised, and I ultimately had to seek care from another orthodontist to complete my treatment. My new and PROFESSIONAL (might I add) orthodontist identified the issue that I was told should have been recognized and addressed from the beginning. Based on my experience, I believe Sharon was negligent, and I would not recommend her to anyone -- unless you don't mind her taking your money, playing in your mouth and having to pay twice for treatment to be done right and complete. Sharon is unprofessional in every aspect. I URGE you to go elsewhere immediately. Run, don't walk, don't skip, and definitely don't hesitate or look back -- RUN!!!
