The front desk experience with the representative they have there was enough to make me not even think about coming here. I called to make an appointment as a new patient and new referral from my current dentist. She was very frazzled on the phone responding very rudely when I was giving her my information. I felt like a huge inconvenience to her the whole conversation.They have a no scent/fragrance policy and she was basically practically yelling at me saying that you must follow these instructions because everybody keeps not following them .And then she told me that they do their own x-rays there.She stated that if I had any x-rays previously done that they wouldn't accept them because they will only take their own .And I told her I just had X-rays done a week ago and they were high-quality 3-D x-rays mind you. She said no that if the dentist needs a particular picture of a certain area, then he would have to take them .I then asked her if he will need to take further x-rays, will I be able to decline ?and she said no. If this is true this place is a ripoff.I canceled my appointment because of her rude responses her rude the way that she spoke to me was so unprofessional and I will never refer people to this establishment. . read more

Picture yourself walking into a dentist's office filled with anxiety because your about to get a root canal, only to be met with a dentist who exudes arrogance while working on your tooth, and a staff that is incredibly rude and unpleasant. The atmosphere is tainted with racism, rudeness, and cockiness. I've NEVER felt so much pain with any other tooth and I've had other root canals done! Pain lasted for 2 weeks. This arrogant dentist insisted that if the root canal continues to hurt, to get it extracted. Well I visited 2 additional dentists to confirm whether my tooth truly required extraction, to my relief, both dentists agreed that extraction was unnecessary, to go ahead and retreat it again. It is disheartening to see individuals obtain their professional licenses to practice, only to demonstrate a lack of competence in their field. It is truly a disappointing reality. read more

I had a root canal done by Dr. Danielson. It was fast and painless. The care I received was excellent. The follow up was great as I received calls afterwards to make sure I had no issues. One of the staff named Mariann is the reason I'm leaving this review. My dental insurance company was refusing to pay their portion of the bill because my previous dentist charged me and my insurance company monies not owed due to an incorrect code. Mariann was so patient and knowledgeable. She walked me through the process and within a month the insurance company covered my root canal and my previous dentist reimbursed me and my insurance company all monies paid due to them inadvertently using an incorrect code. This woman is a godsend! I don't know any other business that would have worked with me to right this wrong! I wholeheartedly recommend them. I was extremely impressed with the professionalism of Dr. Danielson and his staff. I was at my dentist when he recommended I go to this office and they got me in within 30 minutes. The whole process of checking in and being examined by the dentist was very smooth and easily accomplished. I found Dr. Danielson very personable and he looked at my tooth and made his recommendation for what I should have done done. The doctor and the staff seems to get along very well with each other and that's nice to see. I've had multiple root canals over the years by multiple endodontists/dentists, they are never pleasant . This is the first time I've not had dental insurance. The office I've gone to for years quoted me a horrendous amount, my son suggested I call Danielson Endodontics. Not only were they MUCH cheaper, they got me in same day. The office staff was friendly and nice, Dr Danielson was amazing. Pain free procedure, he explained everything beforehand and while he was working. They constantly made sure I was comfortable and ok. From now on, if I see all 5's, I'll wonder what's up. I had previously posted a less than perfect review, which I was asked to remove. Initially, I had no problem with the Dr's, saying "they were nice and professional". I did get an infection, it happens, as this is dental surgery. It started to clear up after antibiotics but I had additional symptoms, which I was concerned with and called the office. The front desk was not helpful, making an appointment then cancelling it. My question was, "how can I tell if I'm getting worse?" I never got a straight answer. I did end up getting a secondary infection, again, these things happen. My concerns, the seeming lack of care and concern after the procedure PLUS being asked remove my less than perfect review. Unfortunately, over the years I've had 4 root canals by 4 different endodontists. Of course root canals aren't fun, but Dr. Danielson goes out of his way to make the process as painless as possible. For example, most of the pain from an injection comes from a fast injection, but he he pushed the injections very slowly. Another: he provides eyeshades so that the exam light isn't blindingly bright. He described what he was doing while he was doing it, so no surprises or mysteries. I had a root canal done this week by Dr. Danielson (4 canals cleaned out - molar tooth) and I wanted to share my experience. From the day I made my appointment (Mary-Ann) to getting the procedure done, this was simply best in class. I went in on a Thursday at 7am, was on my way home by 8:15, had meds in hand by 9am and the area was a little sore for the 1st day. I woke up Friday and ZERO pain..incredible considering what was done to the tooth. I needed a root canal and the dentist told me that it was infected. They went ahead and did the root canal anyways, without me knowing that you are suppose to treat the infection first. Dr. Danielson saw me for an emergency. I was traveling for work and luckily I picked him to see me. His staff was so gracious in how they tactically squeezed me in and Dr. Danielson tactfully stabilized my situation until I could get to my home Endodontist in my home state. He could have easily taken significant dollars but was genuine and honest about the fact that follow up would be needed and it would not be fair for my home Endodontist to have to undo his temporary work in order to put his own touch on it. I saw Dr. Danielson as a consult on a fractured root that turned out I needed to have extracted rather than worked on by him. So I never actually had a major service done here but if my consultation experience is any indication, this guy is great! The office is beautiful, the staff is VERY friendly, and Dr. Danielson is very comforting and personable. For someone who fears dental procedures, I actually felt comfortable here. He took some X-rays and then reviewed my options, explaining everything in detail. I just wish he was a general dentist because he is so great. The office easy to find, is nicely decorated with state of the art equipment. The staff is very friendly and provides you with insurance and co-pay estimates when you arrive. Dr. Danielson is very comforting, personable and willing to educate patients. All of my questions were answered professionally in sufficient detail. I was there as a follow up appointment to complete a root canal started by another endodontist who I would not recommend. Dr. Danielson took an x-ray, physically examined my tooth and determined that I had a greater than 70% probability of a fracture in the tooth. He noted that he could proceed to complete the root canal but the tooth with a crown on it would have more stress and would potentially last only 3-5 years - He provided me with all the information and I determined that I would go with a longer term solution - extraction and probably an implant. I appreciate Dr. Danielson's honesty and professional approach looking out for the best interest of the patient. I would and have recommended him to my friends. 6/9/2014 update - I called Dr. Danielson's office to ask him more questions and to see if there was value in opening up the tooth to confirm the fracture with his microscopic tools ( yes , I was resisting having an implant) He in summary told me that - it could provide me with peace of mind confirmation or could be in a spot hard to see - but would not be a good use of my limited dental coverage. His experience indicated a fracture. We talked about oral surgeons and my upcoming vacation and he provided me very practical guidance regarding the dental work so I could have a good vacation and get the work needed. I have an oral surgeon consult on June 13th and will have any work done after my vacation. Win - Win P.S. I had my second root canal done by dr. Danielson, and the second time was a retreat. He is so nice and professional. Nobody enjoys the shots, but he makes it comfortable and as pain free as he can. The only thing I felt was pressure during the 3 or 5 shots he had to give me to numb the area. He uses state of the art equipment, and I can tell he is very meticulous in his work. Being in pain and having to get a root canal is not my idea of a fun time, but I am so glad that my dentist referred me to Dr. Danielson and his wonderful staff! Unfortunately, my severe pain began on a Saturday night and I was worried about how long I would have to wait to get in to get my tooth fixed. I left a voicemail for Dr. Danielson, who called me back on a Sunday evening and was able to tell me that he was confident that he would be able to help me out on Monday and also give me tips on handling the pain until then. Dr. Danielson was awesome. I was having extensive issues with a root canal performed by my dentist. My dentist had tried different ways to fix the heat sensitivity that I was experiencing without effect. My professor at school was a dentist and also said the heat sensitivity I was experiencing was peculiar, and Dr. Danielson agreed as well. He explained that reatreating the tooth may not improve my condition, especially if there was a fracture, and that teeth that have not responded to treatment usually do not end up responding. I appreciated the honesty, but since I am young decided to have him retreat the tooth in an effort to salvage it. Fortunately, he was able to do what my dentist had not been able to, and I am totally pain free after a very long time. His staff was very nice, and I noticed that he was particularly polite and respectful to his assistants which was nice to see. I looked into many endodontist reviews, and had found his reviews to be superior to other specialists in the area. Furthermore, his endodontics training was at University of Michigan which is a 3 year program, rather than University of Detroit Mercy which is a 2 year program.
