We…read morecame to our consultation appointment, staff was nice, the dentist let me know that he can do the root canal same day. My 10-year-old like most kids are scared on the dentist. Numbing gel was applied to my daughters' gums and he tried to get her to open wide to numb her mouth with the needle. After a few tries of us trying to get her to do so, she was crying and scared, and the dentist reply was "I don't have all morning to sit here and fight with her I have more patience". My daughter apologized as if she did something wrong. I let her know that she was not wrong for being afraid and I let the dentist know it was EXTREMELY unprofessional for him to make a comment like that in front of a child and if he had something negative to say he could have took me in the hallways as the parent, as she's already an afraid child in a dentist chair that's going to be more afraid when she feels your energy is negative as if she has done something wrong. He let me know I can reschedule and I told him we would never. The nice assistant cleans my child up, we checked out and left. If the dentist is not kid friendly maybe a practice would be not to take children as a patient!

We have had referrals from our dentist to another dentist for root canals and, in our case, we have usually been referred to someone at Root Canal Specialists PC, located on Telegraph Road just north of 13 Mile Road. Our experiences have been positive so far and we have found that the dentist we have used here, Dr. McInerney, and the office staff and dental assistants to be friendly and professional. They have a comfortable waiting area with coffee and tea (Keurig with a number of choices to pick fromas well as a TV to distract you from the actual reason you have come in there.

Endodontic Associates got me in the very next morning! Dr. DeCarolis answered all of my questions and got right to work, numbing me up multiple times as the event progressed. I cried almost the whole time, not from pain but nervousness and he was unphased, kindly wiping my tears occasionally with the bib. He checked in with me frequently and narrated what he was seeing and doing. I was in and out of the office in less than an hour. I would gladly refer my friends and family to the care of this excellent man.

Kazanowski "Dr Kaz" decided I needed a root canal at a routine appointment. (I only had a sinus…read moreinfection) While doing it himself (rather than referring me to an endodontist), he broke off a tool inside my tooth. Rather than tell me and stress that I needed to take care of it, he just sealed it up and let me find out at my next dentist's appointment. When the other dentist took bitewing x-rays a year later, he was appalled... I ended up losing the tooth (molar #14) a few years later because the SECOND root canal required to get the tool out left the tooth severely weakened. Quite an ordeal, and completely unnecessary to begin with. Needless to say I do not recommend Kazanowski.

Dr. Kazanowski or Dr. Kaz is a fantastic dentist with the upmost care and bedside manner that is far above anything I have experienced before. When I first arrived, I was taken to his office to fill out the standard paperwork and instead of turning it in and being lead back to the lobby, Dr. Kaz entered and we began our discussion on my history and what I was looking for. This was very welcomed and I truly appreciate the personal touch. Furthermore, his dental hygienist is fantastic, working though my quadrant and cleaning away well under my teeth. And of course, as I am waiting for my cheek to climb back on my face and the rush of pain to ruin the rest of my day, however, it never came. She did such a great job during both of my appointment so I know it is not a fluke. Finally, his office staff. Now this has been my biggest complain about doctors offices in the past, which have been filled with the online-educated assistants, who got their degrees while watching the Maury show. Literally the Cooley Law School equivalent of the medical schools. However, Dr. Kaz has none of these, all very personable, sharp, and do not waste my time, which is what I look for out of a staff.
