Absolutely exceptional service all along the way. I was looking for a variety of legal and document…read moreservices to be provided for me and to be able to refer family and friends who also needed these things done. After doing some research online and very much realizing my budget was going to be much less than what any attorneys were charging for these services, I found Matthew with Golden Rule Paralegal here on Yelp. I sent a message, expecting to perhaps get a response within a couple of business days (the other three paralegals I had reached out to still have not responded to this day), it was to my surprise that Matthew responded to me within just a few minutes. He is very detailed, highly communicative, and explains all concepts and questions in a very simple and digestible way so it's clearly understood by any and all parties. He is kind and honest in his practices and doesn't try to upsell things that may not be necessary. Matthew's pricing is very reasonable, and he is my first call and first recommendation for anyone who may be looking for any legal documents or paperwork to be completed. As far as I'm concerned, there is no reason to look elsewhere, and the one-hour drive to meet with him is worth it tenfold every time.

A few years ago, we created basic personal wills and medical power of attorney documents online and…read morefelt it was time to have them reviewed. I met with Attorney Norman B PLLC from Brown & Hobkirk at their Chandler location. There are many offices in the San Tan Corporate Center phase 2 suite 201. This large office is accessed after passing through large glass doors where a receptionist will page the person you have an appointment with. Norman came to the front desk and escorted me to his office. He concluded that we have done more estate planning than the average couple but were still missing many legal docs that will enable a smoother distribution of assets for the future. We set up our next meeting to work further on a trust and restructuring LLCs. Thank goodness the legal package we paid for at work will cover a big portion of the fees otherwise it would be costly.

After multiple attempts to obtain full discovery, my public defender ultimately withdrew from my…read morecase. I was told, directly or indirectly, that she could not go against the state. Throughout my representation, she refused to pursue video evidence from the state that I believe would have shown misconduct. I was repeatedly pressured to consider plea offers or proceed to trial without being provided full discovery, which in my understanding is improper and undermines a defendant's ability to make an informed decision. What makes this even more concerning is that I later learned she already had the very evidence I had been requesting. I was told she either could not obtain it or that it was not relevant to my case, yet she possessed it the entire time and, to my knowledge, never even reviewed it. That demonstrated to me a complete lack of diligence and concern for advocating on behalf of her client. When the prosecutor made statements to the judge that resulted in a $2,500 bond and my being held for three days, those statements were never challenged as inaccurate on the record. Instead, they were later described as "misinformation," with the focus placed on returning the bond rather than addressing how it was imposed in the first place. At no point did I feel independently represented. After I began asserting my rights and insisting on full discovery, my attorney withdrew from my case rather than continue representing me. I expected my attorney to insist on full discovery, challenge the prosecution when necessary, and defend my rights based on law and facts--not encourage critical decisions without complete information or withdraw when conflict arose. Based on my experience, I would strongly encourage others to carefully evaluate their options and seek independent legal counsel if possible.
