They had a lot of different obstacles set up that help to not only burn off energy for high energy little kids, but also helps them to learn how to better coordinate their body by kicking things the right way, jumping over things, and rolling safely. On top of this, they are being taught the values of listening, focusing, and respecting authorities. Class is twice a week and the students collect different colored stickers as they learn new skills. After all stickers have been collected, they get to test to see if they are ready to move up to the next belt color (every 2 months if you regularly attend). It felt like a family environment with even the parent of the different students knowing one another and being friendly in conversation. A great business that I would recommend!

When we arrived a lady came over with a bad attitude, when I asked her at the end of the conversation she finally told us her name is "master brea", she did not introduce herself or greet us. My son was nervous since it was his first class which is understandable and she made it worse by saying "don't put your hand by your mouth or I will have to give you a mask" as her first sentence to him, this made him more nervous and scared and he started crying. At that point he did not want to try the class anymore, and she was very aggressive with her tone. I do not recommend bringing your child here if this is the kind of first impression the "master" would instill in a young child. I gave her direct feedback so she will not do this in the future to other first time students. Definitely will not be coming back, very disappointing.

The other school (no names mentioned) was too lenient and it seemed that they were letting everyone advance even though it was clear that they were not ready. I think they were more concerned with how many kids they can get to sign up. I often took my nephew to his classes and there were kids who would not pay attention and was always getting into trouble but yet they were getting promoted to the next level. We thought that was unfair, especially to the other kids who did work hard and pay attention. Since attending Delucca I have seen a difference in my nephew. He always looks forward to his classes and he likes to go more often now. It not only cost less then his previous school but he can attend a lot more classes during the week if he wanted to. He's stronger and has such confidence and is very focused. Delucca's is tougher than my nephew's previous school but that's good. That's what he wanted. He has definately learned a lot more from Mr. Delucca and his staff. Over there my nephew is not just a number. How I quickly excluded all the other schools from my shopping list and immediately decided with De Lucca's TKD school, because Sir Dominic (instructor & owner) gave me, my husband & daughter an instant family oriented feeling as we walked in for her trial class. The first minute my daughter walked out from her 1st class, she said, "mom, I want to come here every day!" Tuition is $139.00 / month. Payment is set up on auto-pay Month to Month, or can pay annually. No contract required. Free uniform on initial enrollment day. Offers 5-6 days a week classes for most levels, pretty much a drop-in system. Class schedules are catered to working parents. Parking access is convenient. There's a huge parking lot in front of the school. During weeks where my daughter has lots of homework, she attends class 2-3 times a week. On spring, summer & winter breaks, she attends up to 5 times a week. My daughter started attending this school May of 2014. Knowing how girly girl she is, plus English is not her primary language while still attending her last month of Preschool at that time, I did not think she would last more than 1 week here. I thought she'd quit after the 1st trial class. But Sir Dominic and Ma'am Christina make classes challenging, fun, strict, but not pressured. We love it here! Another priceless thing we received from this school is "respect and manners" taught every session. I used to remind my daughter to respond back to me saying Yes, Mom/No, Mom instead of Yeah, Mom or a simple No. Reminders are not needed at home now. Thanks to the best instructors here! The higher belt rank you get, the more strict & challenging the class gets. Instead of one duck squat lap as reminders when needed, my daughter at Blue Belt rank now requires 2-5 laps. Love it! I came here as an Au Pair (babysitter) and the kids from my host family started going to judo practices at Cahill's Judo Academy. At first I wasn't particularly interested in judo, but a week ago I caught myself wanting to join a class. By now, I've been attending Cahill's Judo Academy for almost six months (thanks to the children of my host family, who love the place), and I can tell that it's worth it to be a part of this community. I love seeing the professionalism of the coaches, their friendliness and attentive approach to everyone (for example, Coach Joe always tries to remember everyone by name, and I'm not just talking about the kids). In addition, I feel the energy of the place and can describe it as "results are born where people come who genuinely love what they do." P.S. Two weeks ago I was even lucky enough to get out on the mat. Coach Ben asked some parents to try an exercise the kids were doing - jumping over the speed ladder. I think I did it with success (at least I could tell by the cheers of the children and Coach Willie's thumbs up that it turned out pretty good). She then said I have to purchase protective gear for $245. My son is 7 years old. after watching a few sessions I was not happy with their method of teaching. Some of the black belted kids couldn't even kick or know the forms very well and didn't even have balance. My son spent time sitting a lot and wasn't taught kicking physical exercises as he was used to (he attended another taekwondo school before we moved this year) I took tae kwon do as a kid and felt very disappointed. Furthermore the lady said my son can come in additional days if he missed any classes and when I tried to do so, she seemed reluctant to let us. After couple of weeks I asked the lady if their style was different than the one we are used to and she just told me to look for another school if I'm not satisfied.After finding out they are closed for the 4th of july weekend and realizing my son was going to miss another few classes I told her I would take her up on the offer. After a week I called and asked for the registration fee and the cost of the protective gear and mentioned that she told me to find another class, I was flatly refused. Now I have to take her to court. $520 for a few classes of sub par and questionable lessons.. Seems to me they are selling fake black belts, as she offered my son will have his black belt in a year. a belt is not what is important but skills, balance and physical and mental fitness is. Seriously those black belted kids can not even kick well as white belted in real schools and they can't even do a proper rolls. See for yourself! I have taken taekwondo before and so have my kid. Don't commit for a lot of $. Ask for trial as they do in other schools. Better yet find another school. Theirs is run down taught by an old man with few students.

Also an improvement is the adult swim lane. previously there was only adult swim 15 minutes every two hours so that was difficult! Now there is always one lane which I really appreciate! Lifeguards are great, and i'm glad that they tell kids not to run. Kiddie pool was not functional this year due to a leak, and because it needs to be overhauled/rebuilt, it's unclear if it'll be available next year. I think most members love having this pool to go to during the season.

I don't typically write negative reviews, but after spending over $200,000 on our pool, I think…read moreit's important to share our experience for anyone considering Aqua Blue. We selected Aqua Blue because they came highly recommended. They weren't the lowest bidder--in fact, we received less expensive proposals--but we believed we were paying for experience, professionalism, and a well-managed project. That turned out to be an expensive assumption. We were told the project would take about two months. It took closer to seven. Construction delays happen; that's not what this review is about. The real problem was the complete lack of communication and follow-through. We were repeatedly told crews would be onsite, only for no one to appear. Weeks would go by with little progress, and instead of the contractor managing the project, we found ourselves managing the contractor. I also expected far more guidance during the design process. Instead, the answer to most questions was simply, "Whatever you want." While that may sound accommodating, it's not why you hire an experienced pool builder. We wanted professional recommendations based on years of experience. Instead, I often felt like I was serving as both the client and the designer. There were also decisions made without consulting us. Plumbing was rerouted, exposed hoses were added, and other construction choices appeared to be driven by convenience rather than thoughtful design. We even had to push back on the proposed location of the pool equipment because it prioritized permitting convenience over the appearance and functionality of our backyard. Project planning was equally frustrating. We'd routinely receive notice the day before an inspection that we suddenly needed a gate installed, a pathway prepared, or other work completed immediately. None of these requirements were surprises to the contractor--they were simply surprises to us. One discovery after construction was particularly disappointing. During our landscaping project, our contractor uncovered large amounts of hardened concrete buried throughout the yard from the pool construction. Instead of being removed, leftover concrete had simply been left underground. Our landscaper had to spend additional time and labor breaking it up before the hardscape could be completed, adding costs that never should have existed in the first place. Apparently, "cleanup" meant covering it with dirt and hoping no one would notice. The biggest disappointment came after the project was finished. When warranty issues arose, I spent nearly four months following up through texts and repeated promises that someone would come out. No one ever did. Eventually, I hired my pool maintenance company to fix the problems at my own expense. A written warranty has little value if no one honors it. To be fair, the finished pool is beautiful. That is the reason this is a two-star review instead of a one-star review. But a pool builder is being hired for much more than the final product. You're also paying for communication, project management, design expertise, accountability, and service after the check clears. Those were the areas where Aqua Blue consistently fell short. If you're considering Aqua Blue, don't just ask to see completed pools. Ask how often you'll receive updates, how change decisions are documented, how warranty claims are handled, and who will actually follow through once the project is complete. Based on our experience, those answers matter every bit as much as the finished pool.

Yelpers have mentioned the trail to the waterfall starts where Westline Dr. and Skyline Dr. meet. From here it's fairly intuitive on where to go. I felt the trail down to the falls seemed too steep to attempt so I opted out. I'm not sure if it was better a few years ago but when I went it felt dangerous and easy to lose footing. I wouldn't recommend this part for someone hiking alone, with kids, or with inexperienced hikers. The trail continues in the other direction along Westline Avenue with views of the ocean. If you continue you can see the top of the waterfall from here. You have to walk a little off the main trail in the ice plant but it's worth it if you want to see the falls. Another way is you can see this waterfall is by walking from Esplanade Beach. From the top of the stairs there the waterfall is about .6 miles. It's so much easier to get to this way and it's a nice beach walk. From here you can't see the waterfall as clear because there is a lot of debris in the way. In this sense it's almost a better view from above. The waterfall comes out of a storm drain which isn't as nice and only flows after a big rain. I wouldn't come out of my way to see this waterfall. But I think it's worth coming to see if you are already at Esplanade Beach or live in the neighborhood and are walking the trail alongside Westline Dr. From the start point to the beach and back it's about a 3.4 mile hike.

Her words of encouragement and actions of kindness has changed our lives and inspires all of us to reach our goals. Ma'am teaches students TKD, Kali and Hapkido for self-defense and confidence. Then she goes above and beyond by teaching focus, strategy and mindset with her "phrase of the week". Monday's stretching classes include a 5 minute discussion on topics like - What's Your Goal? Be Bold, Be Kind, Be Awesome, etc. This school is a family. We call her parents Mom Dancel and Dad Dancel. The academy has several teenagers that are teaching some classes and the main instructor also teaches some as well. Our son loves the school. They have good discipline and they teach good values, but unfortunately, they do not practice those values themselves. When he found swimming was his passion I channeled his spirit into that sport. I had my first daughter MiaBella and she just blossomed in Kinder Kicks. Once it came time for her to advance she was nervous about it. She has gotten into other sports and interests since. Now I have a head strong little fiery girl named Layla. There was always a great mix of striking, attention to detail to technique, self defense and light grappling. I've been a student for 8 years and I can say this Dojo has helped me build an athletic body and conditioned my mind to reach my most confident mentally balanced days of my life especially during difficult situations. As years of training here continue, I still learn something new and am fascinated in how Sensei Johnson connects the physical lessons in class with non-physical everyday challenges. I've been to several martial arts schools and I find this one fits my needs the best. Shopping for a school can be daunting but know that here you will find the instructors pay close attention to proper technique to avoid injury and deliver efficient strikes, provide ample safety gear, teach with positive reinforcement, and are family friendly. Sparring does not start until the student has learned proper technique for basic self-defense, which reduces risk of injury. We're all working adults and learning students, the last thing we want is a broken nose or sprained ankle. Other schools I've attended had students start sparring after 2 weeks of enrollment and I ended up going home with bruises, unlearned technique, and apprehension to return. It's not like that here. If you're focus is to become a street fighter, this is not the place to be. If you want to become the best version of yourself in mind, body, and spirit, this is the place to go. Martial Arts training is not a sprint, but a marathon and a way of life. The best lessons are learned over time and experience, so trust the long term goal and process. You can be so much more than you think you can and this school made me realize that about myself.

The members are generous with their time and their knowledge and want new students to get better. There are adult and kids classes and a women's only class, too. We're a social group, also. There are always people hanging out after the evening class, chatting about technique, and discussing all that's good in life. If you're interested in Japanese martial arts, come on down!
