Aqua Blue Pools re-plastered (NPT StoneScapes "Tropics Blue" - Collection: Small Puerto Rico Blend) and re-tiled our pool recently, and did a fabulous job. They worked efficiently and minimized the mess associated with such extensive concrete/plaster removal, cleaning up the deck area and existing hardscape daily. Pool rust issues, which proved to be more extensive than appeared when the job was bid, were mitigated thoroughly with no additional charges. It initially appeared that there were two rust areas but four were uncovered as plaster removal proceeded. Ernesto Vega, project manager, was really great to work with and quickly responded to our concerns as they arose (phone or text to him works fastest!). Aqua Blue Pools were very competitive with the other four bids we received, although a big factor in selecting them was that they had just completed our neighbor's pool and they are really happy with the results (pool looks beautiful). The whole job took only 2 1/2 weeks even though work stopped 4 days for the Thanksgiving holiday. We are only three days into the startup process to establish the correct water chemistry and the pool, which looked great once Aqua Blue finished the job, is looking even better each day as the water color becomes more correct. BTW, be aware that the water out of the tap looks really odd when first added to the pool, like green swamp water in our location, until the chemical startup is complete (about one or two weeks) and the water chemistry is correct. read more

I used Aqua Blue through my GC to do a massive pool remodel. They repaired cracks, did all new plumbing and equipment and tiled. The overall experience has been very positive and I would highly recommend them. We've had a few issues (to be expected on a project of this size) but Jose at Aqua Blue has always been very responsive and professional and has quickly solved the problems. No need to chase him down or remind him to take care of it. Overall a very positive experience which is not that common in this business. read more

We worked with Ernesto and his team for a refinish of our pool and to fix a leak in the process. They explained options for materials and the project process clearly, provided a reasonable estimate and were able to promise a timely start for the project. The crew showed up on time and worked hard and clean throughout the duration of the project. I was able to communicate with Andres and Ernesto when necessary and felt I was always up to speed on progress and well taken care of. The result turned out great optically. When we filled the pool it was still leaking. We informed Aquablue and hey took care of it through a third party. Everything finished to our satisfaction. I had all the equipment replaced, the inside of the pool redone but left the coping stones. They were willing to work with use to keep the coping stones. Match cost to another quote we received if we did the coping stone. All the work was done, new quiet new system, one week of a guy conditioning the pool, new tile looks beautiful. Ernesto and his team did a great job on the pebble finish for our new pool. He was professional and easy to work with. He came out several times to discuss the project and bring us samples to help choose the color - in fact we ended up going with a color that he suggested and we love it! They did a very careful job of preparing the surface and then the next day they showed up bright and early with a big crew to apply the plaster. They were very organized and efficient. After everything was done they did a great job cleaning up. I am pretty particular about things being done right, and everyone on the team seemed very attentive to detail and really wanted to make sure we were happy with the results. read more

Jose came out and did an estimate. Then the games started. I had to call him or the owner Ernesto several times to get the estimate. Finally they send it. Then I have to call again to see if they will do the job. Finally get a hold of Jose and I tell him I will go with the bid for replastering. He ask when they could start. I say next week. He says he will get back to me. Again the phone tag but 2 days later I get ahold of him, and he says he is on a job but to call back in 3 hours. I do. Then he precedes to tell me ,"Well, I don't want to do your job. We are too busy." I then say, why didn't you tell me in the first place, then he mutters something and then is silent. I put our conversation into detail so potential customers see what type of garbage you are going to have to put up with if you decide to do business with someone of this level of integrity. I would rather pay a higher bid than put my trust and an expensive in the hands of someone who really does not care. read more

My wife and I had a swimming pool and Jacuzzi installed into our backyard by this company. It is about 36 x 18 feet. The man in charge, is not just a contractor, but a pool designer. Thus he was able to provide many good ideas and solutions for our backyard, this made a big difference for us in getting what we wanted. He works with a couple of very competent electricians, a big plus for us, due to the Jacuzzi requiring electrical and gas connections. The friendly and attentive service this company provided was a great experience for us. The pool and Jacuzzi ended up beautiful in appearance, beyond our expectations. There was no damage at all to our property, though we have limited access. We highly recommend this company. read more

I had a similar experience to other reviews. I hired these guys to build a pool on a new house my wife and I had built this year. The pool itself came out beautiful but they banged into the house several times with their equipment. Not the end of the world but there has been zero effort on their part to come back and fix it. Also, the new house came with built in drainage, they damaged this and have been impossible to get back to fix it. Same goes for the sprinkler system in the front yard. They started off as wonderful to work with but as we went down the stretch they became less responsive and now we paid out of pocket to fix the mess they left behind and are still impossible to get in touch with. We had to fix the drainage as it began raining here in the bay, and we had to fix the sprinklers otherwise the lawn would have died. We are 3 months past completion of the pool and not a peep about fixing the house. I'd look elsewhere for a pool. read more

I hired this company to re-plaster my pool, install new skimmers and add new Deco-seal around the edges of the pool. The cost of the contract was in excess of $13,000. The pool plaster crew did a great job on the color and texture of the pool - definite 4 star, but the company's follow up to correct some mistakes has been a miserable experience. For instance, I asked them to correct the contract because the Deco-seal was measured for 4 sides, when the pool has a pool cover and the seal is only placed on 3 sides. Their workers got plaster in the skimmer doors and in the pool outflow for the Polaris cleaner. Only after I hired another pool person to set the pool up did I learn that Aqua Blue workers had thrown away part of the skimmer doors so the skimmers were not working correctly and the Polaris hoses could not be attached to the wall of the pool. The company required multiple emails and phone calls to get any response. If you do use them, withhold a chunk of money until the pool is 100% operational and not just looking good. I think this group is capable of doing good work, but they are sloppy in their bookkeeping and business practices and you have to be prepared to dog them every step read more
