They had some leftover fence material they left in the driveway, they said I could either keep it for future repairs or dispose of it. I put it behind my shed to keep in case of later possible damage, would just need to pay for labor. overall great experience and nice fence. I was going to go with the company and had a change of heart. Luke Cooper was the salesperson. At first, I thought he was cool. When I informed him a day later that I had a change of heart and decided to go a different route, he became very pushy. I asked what the process would be for canceling (less than 72 hours). I had to call multiple times to arrange for the cancellation. He said her would bring a paper to sign for the cancellation, and he was forceful about knowing what company I chose to go with and why. I let him know I felt comfortable with my choice. He continued to harass me in person about it. "I don't know why you won't just tell me who the company is. I just think it's funny you did this yesterday, and you don't know who the company is. I'm trying to help you out because the company is making changes and they may not want to give you your deposit back."Each time I repeated I felt comfortable with my decision, he would respond in a very unprofessional manner as though he could bully me into changing my mind. This man has to be at least 6'6 " or 6'7 250. I am a 5 '2 woman. His behavior was extremely unacceptable, and he would not have responded that way if I were a male. He then responded, "I'm having issues scanning in my cancellation form, "and attempted to keep the form, telling me he scanned it in his file. I'm so glad I handled the situation in front of my home and not inside because he was very adamant about controlling a situation that was not his to control, and he was very much disregarding what I was saying. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Charged us nearly 20k and built us something that violates county code, after we SPECIFICALLY asked them about this before it was built and it was literally in the contract that they were to get permits. If I could post a review with no stars this would be the one. My experience from start to finish was anything but positive. It started out with a high pressure sales person who makes you believe they will be there every step of the way. Nope, once the contract is signed they want nothing to do with you, I didn't appreciate them touting anything military as they have no integrity or service. I was told by my salesperson that they used top quality wood which is not true. My neighbor had the same fence put in with a different company for roughly 1/2 of what I paid with the same grade wood, #2. No one from DanDale inspected the fence after it was installed, no follow up. I supposedly have a 10 year warranty but when I sent pictures of some of the posts splitting more than they should I got nothing, Now there are signs up in my neighborhood for DanDale and their quotes are around $2,500 less than I paid. Now that's integrity for you. All I can say is BUYER BEWARE...do your research and don't believe a word out of the salespersons mouth. read more

Original negative review has two root causes which DD can easily remedy. In re evaluating this saga I'm adding a star mainly bc the crew on day 2 is doing a great job. Some constructive input for management... all pretty basic: 1. Materials ; DanDale should verify the correct lumber and hardware were delivered the day before the job is scheduled to start. Day 1 was wrong lumber and we are halfway through the day 2 effort and I was just told the gate hardware was not delivered with the lumber. Blame the supplier but resolve it BEFORE the job is scheduled to start. I'm retired military. As a Vet owned business the phrase "trust but verify" should be familiar. 2. Miscommunication/ No Communication: - It was not clear this would be a 2 day job and because the job started on Friday it went unfinished until Monday... essentially becoming a 4 day job. -The crews was efficient and polite but need to tell the homeowner they are leaving the site at the end of their day and when they will be back. Our day 1 crew left without saying anything. Had they checked out with me and said they don't work on Saturday I would have understood ( I wouldn't have liked it but would have understood). It was never mentioned in the sales pitch. This basic communication would likely bumped it to 3 star rating -District Managers and Project Managers need to monitor and return calls, texts, and emails. I don't think it's unreasonable to check VM and Texts on a Friday afternoon or Saturday. I got through to a receptionist on Saturday morning and she said she would try to contact the appropriate manager. So either she didn't or they ignored her. A return call would have gotten you a 4 Star rating. read more

I won't ding these guys as I reached out to them to get a quote for my fence. They responded pretty quick but when I saif I would call them on Saturday they said because it's Saturday we are closed. Sorry I'm this type of economy, and the amount of competitors who are open on the weekends, I had to go with someone else. I have friends that recommended them so I'm giving 4 stars bc their fences look great. read more

My husband chose DanDale Fence based on the "stellar" reviews he had read online and after speaking with their salesperson, Ryan I believe was his name. The salesperson told us DanDale does not contract out for the work to be completed, that they had a team who installed fences that worked directly for DanDale. This was not true, the crew that came to install our fence was subcontracted...and I found out they worked for LongFence! I was given a window of time when the crew would show up on the day work was to start but was also told I would receive a call letting me know the crew was on their way. The crew showed up at 7am and no one called me. I did not reside at the property at the time so I didn't know until I received a text an hour and a half later that they had arrived. I was told that I would be given a walk through of the project before the crew started digging, I was not. I was then given attitude by the "boss" when I told the crew to stop digging because they had not confirmed with me where the all the posts were to be placed. Instead they were working off a VERY poorly hand drawn map of my yard done by the salesperson that looked like a 5 year old did it and it was completely wrong based on what had been discussed with the salesperson weeks prior. I had provided the salesperson a copy of the survey of the property, so why everything was so off is beyond me. I was also bullied by the "boss" of the crew to sign off on a checklist for work that hadn't even been started/completed, which I refused. They also rushed through the build. Granted it was done in a day but we were not able to be there all day to supervise the job as we had to work and ended up with uneven vertical posts throughout (not all the same height) and just by looking at them you could tell some of the horizontal support slats were not all level. I have never seen a fence where the vertical posts were not all the same height! I would have much preferred the job take days to complete to ensure it was done properly and to ensure a clean finished look. At a glance, yes it seems to look great, but I am a very detailed person so this has been bothering me ever since the work was completed. DanDale will reach out to me and say "But we have a 5 year warranty on our work that you can utilize"....which they do....the problem is you still have to pay for the materials to have them fix it. Why should I pay extra for shotty work when I paid way too much money for the fence in the first place? How is this a beneficial warranty for me or anyone for that matter based on what I spent to have the fence installed. There are also large gaps from the ground to the bottom of the fence all over. I know there needs to be clearance because the wood shouldn't touch the ground to ensure the it doesn't rot but I have dogs. Now I have to the close up the gaps a bit to make sure they stay in the yard. When the representative from DanDale came to do the "final walkthrough" and get the final check for the work, we showed her all the issues that we had and she said "just contact so and so at our office online, send pictures and utilize the warranty so we can fix it for you". Really?? No! I showed her the issues, a good customer service rep would have been on the phone with their boss trying to fix the problem then and there in the moment. She was more focused on getting the check and getting home....and she showed up almost an hour late with no heads up. I should have cancelled the check and held the final payment hostage until they came to fix it for free, that's on me I'll own that. But to anyone who made it through this whole review....moral of the story, don't have DanDale install your fence. There are plenty of other great fence companies out there that will such a better job!! read more

We received a quick response to providing us with an estimate for a privacy fence. After they came out and measured, we never heard from them again even after placing calls to the supervisor. Wouldn't want to go forward with them if this is how they handle their customers. read more

From beginning to end I received top notch service. I was shown multiple samples to choose from, a date was set and my old fence was taken down and carted away. Once local permits were approved a date was set, and after a brief weather delay, my double gated wood fence was installed on a Saturday to my great satisfaction.
