Love Dandy Dogs. I take my dogs here to get their nails trimmed. Both of my dogs are a pain in the neck, squirmy and cry, when it comes to getting their nails trimmed. Pet Smart didn't even want to trim one of their nails because they were so difficult. My dogs do really well here. They are in and out and done in no time. She can be a bit jumpy, and isn't the biggest fan of grooming, I'm protective over her but she loves Jeremy! He took such great care of her, she's a shoulder cat and finds comfort perching high up so he dried her on his shoulder. Really really kind genuine people, they understand how important your pets are. The only reason I put 4 stars is the pricing. There are so many groomers in town that don't take large dogs and Jeremy took our 76 pound golden retriever who was covered in tar and made our pup the cleanest he's ever been. I can't tell you how amazing Dandy Dogs is -- I was worried about our little Pekingese, Mamas. She is ~ 16 years-old and a little on the fragile side. As you can see from the photo, Marie did an AMAZING JOB. The owner, Marie, is so calm and has amazing eye contact. I walked away after dropping her off feeling assured and that I was in reliable hands. When I returned, Mamas was like putty in her arms. Not at all frantic, which is more often the case. Wonderful groomer! The location is in the same lot as 7/11 near DPHS. They open at 7:00 and you drop your dog off between that time and 11:00. We dropped our puppy off at 8:00 ish and picked him up at 11:00. He looked so happy and smelled so clean. They clearly treated him very well and even gave him a little bandana. Marie, the owner, also has groomed my mother's dogs also for years. One of them has some aggression problems and she is still groomed and happy coming out of Dandy Dogs. This is a dog that another groomer declined to groom (won't name names :P). Charlie, my dog, was clearly very relaxed and happy in there. This is my first experience with a dog groomer (aside from some time working as a bather 12 years ago, and the basic grooming we do at the animal hospital I work at. I inherited my miniature poodle from a boarding client at the hospital in fact, which is why I'm now joining the Fluffy Dog club... When I got Gigi she was a bit shaggy, and now 3 months later she looked like a giant furry tumbleweed. Whenever I go to Dandy Dogs, my dogs comes out clean and smells as fresh as a daisy. However, whenever I pick up my dogs, one of them is always cut up and bleeding. I have been to Dandy Dogs more than seven times, and yesterday was the last time I will take my dogs. My dog had a large (at least 2 inches in diameter) cut on his leg, and it was bleeding. I would have complained to Marie, but I found out about it when I left. The least they could have done was to bandage or put some alcohol on the cut and apologize to me. But no. They did not. The price is now $50 per dog, I have two little dogs, so $100 is a little outrageous. On a scale of 1 to 5, with 1 being the worst and 5 being the best, I'd say that the service is a 2. read more
