I got pierced by Frankie on Friday evening, and she was so sweet. My appointment was at 6:20 but I got there very early because I didn't want to chicken out of my piercing! I was brought back to the piercing studio around 6:30ish. I absolutely LOVE how the facility is by appointment only, and that they require you to wash your hands immediately upon coming in. Because it's appointment only, the lobby area was clear and there wasn't really anyone out there, which I really liked. The music wasn't loud either and it was enjoyable. The facility was extremely clean. Frankie was a gem. I was getting re-pierced and I was very nervous and anxious, and her vibes helped the nerves a ton. I let her know that I have a tendency to get swollen pretty quickly and more than the usual person, and she made sure to give me a longer post to account for additional swelling. Yes, it's a bit more pricier than your typical piercing studio BUT it's worth it and an investment; good work isn't cheap, cheap work isn't good. Their selection of jewelry is again, expensive but absolutely beautiful and high quality. I wish I would've gotten all my piercings done by Frankie! Miro was so kind and patient with me! He was fantastic. I chose the jewelry for my tragus piercing and other ear piercing with him, and then he went over the process and after care. It's been over 2 weeks since I got the piercings done and they look great! The swelling has gone down, and I've been applying saline to them daily. It's safe to say I've gone to Dandyland since I was 16 (thats 2006?) I haven't gotten anything new done recently. I've been "Adulting" or what they call "locking in". BUT my Medusa (philtrum piercing) swelled to great heights recently (talk about inflation!) to the point I couldn't see the flatback anymore (uh-oh!) it's giving narwhal energy.... Not a good look... I got my snakebites done here today by Frankie! It was a great first experience. This was my first time ever getting facial piercings and they were very kind, patient and informative. The piercings themselves only took a few minutes, most of the appointment time was spent making sure they were in the perfect spot! I got sent on my way with a little baggie containing the appropriate mouthwash and cleaning solution, plus my piercer's information. Wonderful piercing studio! I've gotten pierced here 3 different times, I got my septum pierced by Miro in 2021 and I had my conch and daith pierced by Jen recently! I've also had downsizing appointments with Frankie and all 3 piercers are incredible! I could not recommend them more, it's a very quiet and cozy vibe, which is certainly good for somebody getting piercings for the first time. The new(ish) shop location is so nice, the staff was all welcoming and friendly and the procedure room was so comfortable and calming. When Miro did the piercings, everything was done following perfect aseptic technique and as was done as gently as humanly possible (for 14 gauge high nostrils). The piercings came out great and I might have even picked up a trick or two that I can utilize on my own clients. Angel strikes again! Went back to Angel for a new piece. I gave him the barest of guidance: a day of the dead skull on the inside of my left bicep. I let him run with it to see what he'd come up with. Turns out, that was prolly the best decision as Angel drew something up that I wouldn't have otherwise gotten. I think the skull fits perfectly in the spot I chose because he did a profile of the skull instead of straight on. The lines look clean, shading is on point, and the detail is awesome too. There were some hiccups during the process: some waiting around, fixing of the tattoo machines, busted pipes, and a whole bunch of pain, but I think the end result was worth all the distraction. I picked tara and met with her. So he sketched exactly what I wanted and we booked the date. She was very talkitive and funny and took her time. Which means you can go here and there are no Johnny jump-up guys who will use dirty instruments and give you Hep C. This is HUGE as I used to run two health departments in rural NC where Hep C was a huge problem. Some prior reviews complain about price. BUT you get what you pay for. My jewelry is in excellent condition y and my piercings are healing without complication. I had a botched tattoo recently, and much time was spent with me to explain my options and stages of healing required to rework the tattoo properly. This advice was all FREE and you could tell there was no smoke being blown up my culo in the process. They CARE plain and simple. So I've been wanting to get a second ear lobe piercing for forever. I've never had the guts to go do it but finally I made an appointment with these guys and did it!! Eric was super nice and very professional, helping to calm me down by fully explaining the procedure. Everything is so clean here, they use gloves, they wipe everything down after every customer. Oh and they aren't taking walk ins, you have to make an appointment so they can give customers 100% of their attention. It's awesome. By the way, have you heard of 'chocolate diamonds'? God invented them for Valentine's Day, or the other way around. They sell those here, and they're quite pretty. Seriously, all the birthstones, and a bunch of other shades of colors that were really pretty. I was so impressed. The other two shops I visited before this place had two options and one option for jewelery, and they were all lame. This place - so much variety it was so hard to choose. I went with a color called 'champagne'. Neat! All surgical quality metal. They take sanitization VERY seriously here. You see them wiping the stuff down, replacing their gloves several times throughout, having the jewelery sanitized while you're there, opening fresh packs of needles, spreading new surgical napkin/tableclothy things, etc. I had a superb experience.
