Sahara Dry's proposal had them doing more than the others and for less money. A recent snow melt followed by several days of heavy rain had ground water leaking through my basement walls and bubbling up from the floor where a previous owner had drilled some holes. Sahara Dry's owner, Jeff Smoot, and representatives from two other companies specializing in fixing wet basements come to my property, look over my situation, and write up the solution. All three pretty much proposed the same solution which included an installation of a French drain. But only Sahara Dry offered to do the entire perimeter, drilling behind the small space between the wall and my two furnaces and two water heaters. (It's a duplex.) The other companies wanted to dig in front of my furnaces and water heaters. Not Sahara Dry who did the extra, hard work of drilling behind these obstacles to provide me with a complete solution rather than an easy solution. The other companies wanted me to arrange to have the water heaters moved out of the way. Not Sahara Dry who took care of that. One company said my adjacent crawl space was fine; the other did not even offer to look at the space. Not Sahara Dry who took the time to investigate and offer a proposal for a total fix of my problem. Working with Jeff's sons, Keenan and Aidan, was a pleasure. They really know their stuff and worked hard alongside their crew members. It's a real drag to have to deal with a wet basement. Working with Sahara Dry Basement made it as enjoyable as possible. And now I am no longer afraid of any forecast for rain.

The reviews don't lie, if you're in need of any kind of water restoration this is your guy. Mike and came out a few hours after I called them, my wife and I had got to our cabin after a week long of freezing temps to find our toilet had cracked an the water had been running for a day, we had about an inch of water in the bathroom, and both bedrooms were soping wet. Mike and reassured us that they would take care of everything. Gave us an instant quote over the phone and were honest and upfront about everything. Mike is not out to get you, he is a very honorable guy who's making a living helping people. He has no interest in overcharging you. Mike and his partner Eric got started right away, pulling up the carpet, removing the vinyl bathroom floor, and testing the moisture levels in the walls. Within a short amount of time they had fans under everything and large dehumidifier set up. They assured us they would save everything they could and that it wasn't as bad as we originally thought. Mike returned the next day and checked to make sure everything was working properly, tested the moisture levels, and adjusted some of the fans. Mike and Eric were thorough and professional throughout the entire experience. They saved my cabin, saved the floors, and even saved the carpet. I can't talk enough about the work Mike and Eric did and how hard they worked to get it done. In the end, I was very happy I called Mike, overall it was around $1,000 and was within dollars of his phone estimate. I hired Horacia Canales to complete the concrete for my new 30x60 building. He was late to his appointment but we all know that things happen and people get busy so I thought no worries. He gave a good price that was online with everyone else but bc he was referred I knew it was who I wanted. He showed up on time on the day of installation and did exactly what he said he would. I thought everything was great......however there was a 3500 dollar up charge for stone that was never discussed. To me, that wasn't a big deal as I know things can come up. He stated to stay off of the concrete for 3 weeks but I did one better and did not touch the concrete for just over 90 days. This is where the problems started. After about 60 days I noticed water pooling on the concrete and that it appeared to be chipping. Needless to say the entire top of the floor started chipping and peeling. No worries, JB has a warranty so I called him and asked if he could look at it. He stopped by and said that he would fix the top peeling off but let it warm up ​a little. I waited and noticed that he didn't reach back out so decided to call him. Not only does he reject your calls but will completely block you. Now I'm left with a $26,000 pad that needs redone. Please beware and do not do business with this man. This is not the first time that this is being said online and I can assume that it won't be the last unless others speak out. I now have no other option than to pursue legal action.​

The evidence supports that he does not care about his customers. Because of the incompetence and mismanagement of resources we had to take some of the work out of the scope and work with these companies separately adding more stress to my entire family. The generator that was supposed to be installed four months ago has still not been installed. Now we have frigid temperatures and snowstorm on the way so what the hell am not supposed to do if I lose power? What a joke! To me the worst part is he had no regard for my mental health issues. The reasonable accommodations I asked for which included being informed when and where things were being done, were completely ignored. Not only is that unethical it's illegal under the ADA. It was not started until the week of thanksgiving it was to be Monday 11/24 because of being pushed back on Monday nov 25 I contacted him via text and asked if the workers were coming he texted back and said yes and the workers never showed up until the following day 11/26 and started took thanksgiving and Black Friday off. After conversation with him they started the electrical work moving electric in my attic I found out that the electrician was not a certified electrician and immediately questioned him he advised it was under his license(Rodger) the worker got mad and was inside my house slamming tools to the point I message Rodger and advised he was not allowed back he sent me another worker that shows up when they want to show up also no building permit was ever pulled on my house when asking he said he didn't need one I waited 4 months for kitchen cabinets after giving him more money have all cashier checks for total after getting cabinets they ordered the wrong size and had to send it back and waited another 2 weeks for cabinet than asking about my sink being a farmhouse sing exposed was advised he again ordered the wrong cabinet. Everything they have hooked up they have messed up I was without electric in my living area for 2 days was also charged an additional 5,000 because of how the electric was in the fooor the running water in kitchen was hooked up almost 2 months after starting renovation I have pictures of all the poor workmanship as well as text messages stating that this project was to be completed in 2 weeks. It is now march and I have yet to be measured for countertops and as usual when I message he does not respond total I have paid almost 29000 I have had to reach out to another company about countertops and pay out of pocket.
