If there's one thing you should take away from this review - it's that Matt is an incredibly…read moretalented photographer and you'll have no regrets hiring him for your wedding. Read on to learn why! We found Matt after admiring his work on Instagram. We loved his eye for candid moments. And while Matt doesn't like the word "moody", we loved his use of natural light and "romantic" *cough* *moody* photography style. ;) With a background in video/photo production, searching for a photographer was a serious, time-consuming task for me. I had a very specific style of photography in mind, as well as a budget to adhere to. I waited a very long time before ultimately reaching out to Matt (only because he was actually a little outside of our budget) ...but I kept finding myself gravitating towards his work. And after our first call, in my gut I knew - he was who we were looking for. **PLANNING** You don't have to be a bride to know how important communication is when planning a wedding. Matt was super responsive via email (even if it was to tell us he would respond at a later point) and always available to schedule a call when he wasn't already shooting a wedding. After a call to see if we were a good fit, he followed up promptly with a contract, booking form and my own portal to his site where everything would be stored. LOVE IT! Bookmark that shizz ladies... Closer to the wedding, we jumped on a call to walk through his typical shot list and customized it to our day. Matt helped us consider the best ways to utilize him as a photographer, but also gave us a few ideas on how to keep our guests happy while we were off taking sunset photos. CAKE, CAKE, CAKE, CAKE... ;D **PRICING** Matt's prices are obviously subject to change as his fame and talent grow... ;D But brides, I also know how extremely frustrating it is to be looking at photographers (or any vendor for that matter) and not know what anyone charges!! (Know your audience wedding vendors - list your prices!!) At the time we hired Matt, we hired him for a "Partial Day" which included 8hrs of coverage for $3500. He also had "Full Day" (12hrs - $4000) + "Elopement" (2hrs - $1200) packages. And offered a second shooter for $300/$250 for the day. MATT IS WORTH EVERY PENNY! His partial/full day packages also include an "Engagement Session" which I believe is very important in getting to know your photographer. Unfortunately, my husband + I live in San Diego, and so nowhere near Matt or where we were getting married. He worked with us to reflect this in his package, and ultimately fit within our budget. *Whatapro! We also didn't hire a second shooter...and honestly not so sure we needed one. Matt covered a lot of ground. **DAY OF...** Matt came out early to our venue and scouted around for sunset and family shots to put our minds at ease. And as we started to arrive he offered to help with anything we might need. #sweetheart. He knew when to be assertive and give us some much-needed direction and how to fade into the shadows and let a moment play out for that perfect candid. I think the biggest surprise of our wedding day was hearing from all our guests how much they LOVED our photographer. I wasn't surprised by the fact Matt is a sweet guy, we already knew that. We loved him too. But think about that...how many weddings have you been to where you told the couple you loved their photographer? But after reviewing all our beautiful photos, we understand why. He did an amazing job of capturing all the love, joy and beauty that was our wedding day. And we are forever thankful! I feel like I can't possibly capture everything in a review so feel free to message me if any questions!

My husband and I were beyond excited to see our pictures, and the wait completely paid off! Our photos are absolutely beautiful! I absolutely recommend working with Matt and I cannot wait for him to take more of our photos. Especially maternity! And all our anniversary ones! :)

Unfortunately, I did not have the experience I thought I would when hiring Danielle as my wedding…read morephotographer. She did a great job on the complimentary engagement session and after seeing these photos I was so so excited to have her for the wedding day. It was safe to say I was extremely let down. Upon hiring Danielle, she told me she had not photographed a wedding at this venue, but she looked forward to going to the venue before hand to scope it out and give her a better idea of where we could take specific photos.. this never happened. Danielle was given an itinerary that my "day of" wedding planner and I made and she had a meeting with the wedding planner to make her life easier to get all the photos that I wanted before and after the ceremony. A week before the wedding, Danielle emailed me with concerns stating she felt like I needed to add an assistant because I had too much packed into a short period. This was a red flag to me and I was not willing to pay more, especially on such short notice. The wedding planner offered to help Danielle to make things run smoother. When Danielle got to the venue, she did not follow that itinerary and things got pretty hectic very quickly. She photographed moments that I had planned to capture with a go pro and on another camera and this is where some anxiety set in before the ceremony. Unfortunately, it rained pretty much the entire day of my wedding. Danielle was not willing to take many suggestions and unfortunately did not accept much help from anyone. She did not have an alternate plan for photos following the wedding because of the rain, therefore I cut these photos short as I was freezing and just over the hectic nature of the photographs. She then stated to my mother in law at the end of the night that she had 5 minutes to gather some family members she requested for a picture because "her time was almost up." I felt like this was unnecessary to say to someone who helped so much with my wedding considering I had paid her to be there until a certain time. Fast forward to 6 months post wedding and I still had not seen 1 photo from my wedding after the contract promises photos will be returned no later than 8-12 weeks following shoot date. I had been in contact with Danielle, but her replies began getting more and more delayed to the point that it would be over a month since I heard from her. Danielle stated she had several "professional and personal circumstances" that put her behind. She never once apologized after I expressed my concerns multiple times and offered nothing to me to make up for the extensive delay. I had a letter ready to send to pursue legal action as I seriously thought I would never see my wedding photos. My wedding was on October 25, 2025 and I finally received these photos on May 25, 2026 after her final promise was May 23. If you plan to hire Danielle to photograph your wedding, plan for these types of delays as her customer service is absolutely terrible. Looking back on it now, one question I never asked was how long she had been a photographer of weddings because her inexperience definitely shined through.
